Hello precious friends hope you are enjoying you lovely life sublimely with your dear loved ones !
Walking is best exercise as it is said by doctors .But some walkes stay special in
our life and their memories last in our
heart forever.
These memories work as therapy when our soul needs mending or healing from any visible or invisible injury .
I had a weird exciting soul .I loved moving ,wondering ,wandering, thinking (lot) ,writing and walking .
I mentioned many times that back in my native village there was big house with huge
front yard where mom had a quite big garden area .To water it she had pipe
though , but to invest my energies i never used pipe .Instead of pipe i used to fill
bucket (which was almost 15kg ) with water and watered the all plants and vegetables .
By my constant telling about our culture may be you know that girls of my age
meant to learn cooking sewing knitting crochet and
many other art works to prepare their dowry .Unlike
them i was interested in supports ,reading and writing
along with gathering lots of knowledge about life ,world , movies ,media , games ,politics and history blah blah blah .
I loved running round and round inside our front yard ,as a bird flips and flaps restlessly in cage to
find the way . When i entered in my teens i was not allowed outdoors but only for wedding ceremonies or
any other kind of parties in families which i found completely boring .
Our country has many national teams of women for various games among which i found athletics most appealing.
I was fascinated by running ladies as fast as possible while watching support channels ! It was compelling!
i wanted to do this , wanted to run as fast as i could until i could find the end of this universe.
Sometimes i would practice punching in sack full of sand and get my hands wounded .I loved my wounds ! In sack i imagined the men of my society
because of whom i was caged in my home and was going to die without
exploring the beauty of my surroundings. How painful that one comes in this world
and can not EVEN SEE IT THIS FAIRLY just because she has fear of oppression or abusing behaviours of opposite gender .
But life gave me chance to walk carefreely later when i got married and had a friend like spouse
to walk along with me . Here it is not necessary that husband fulfill such
childish wish (according to narrow heads) of his wife .Still i felt special and blessed when one day hubby took me to the walk in morning and it ended when night fell .
It was second year of our marriage . Our eldest son was few months old with us and we were in
Islamabad . Winter was spreading it's wings slowly as it was october .Rains were often and sky was moody with changing shades !
One morning after breakfast when my son was sleeping in cradle .Hubby asked me to go for walk with him . I asked my mom to take care of my son and left the prepared milk bottles in heating pot ..
Islamabad is beautiful city surrounded by margalla hills and weather is magical . Due
to being capital it is very well designed and has extraordinary beauties both the modern architecture and natural !
While we taking our early steps we both were not aware that our walk will be as long ,romantic and unforgettable!
(With the help of google image sharing some views of Islamabad among which we walked like never !)
There was long shing roads with heavy noisy traffic , high buildings ,lashing sceneries but we both were walking lost in each other ,our talk was endless as it will never finish and everything was JUST ABOUT TWO oF US as we were the only living beings on planet !
I still remember that almost 23 years back that day was most beautiful day for us ,as it was meant to be and rise for us . We walked along for hours unconsciously ,crossed the many features of city almost half city went under our feet that day .
It rained slightly in the way and we had no umbrella . Then we walked into a very famous ice cream parlor that we found front of us that moment . There was coffee available too but first we had ice cream while looking at the foggy green hills around the city .
If i put out that day from my life these 25 years of our married life will be incomplete .
That day our attraction and exchange of countless words laid a strong deep foundation of our life together.
When life got hard due to some mother in law issue and tension raised between us that was the magic of that ONE PERFECT DAY of our life that saved our relationships from getting worse !
That day when we returned home it was almost 9 pm and mood of mom was not good obviously , Though she praised my son for being good child and not tiring her much as he seemed to let his mama and papa have time together .Because here women hardly have such chance .
Though women can wander along with their girlfriends ,go for shopping movie or else but in
middle class family such time (walking as couple ) is luxury for which which loving hearts can starve only .
Men of this particular class go on joint family picnics though but holding wife's hand and wandering on
city by feet is out of their imagination . Though traditions are changing and couple prefer to live
separate after marriage so interference by in laws is less .But my man is special and i am grateful for this to God who blessed me with such caring and congenial life partner!
While having evening tea !
Looking at the small garden in breezy eve!
Enjoying the sunset and serenity of moments that speak silently !
Receiving the colorful smiles of nature
from other side looks more blooms
These naughty blooms love sun so uch and disappear before evening
Life is beautiful if we count the blessings!
Wishing you all a happy and healthy life dears!
take lots of care and stay positive in odds to turn them in rewards !
God Bless You All!!!
How lovely you have such a wonderful husband as your life partner. It seems you are both made for each other. I love walking but running not so. I've never really understood the term 'fun run', even as a young girl. I have enjoyed reading this post, Baili and the photos, especially those of you and your husband. Islamabad is a lovely city, isn't it. May you have a lovely week, lovely lady.
ReplyDeleteThank you dear Kim!
DeleteMost of the women less like running or sports either.
I was little different from my fellow girls .you can call me Tom boy type then.
I still love walk and in my life I had few weirdly looong walks that i took for purposes then and feel proud of myself for that.
In evening I take walk atleast for half hour in my front yard daily.
You definitely shared your beautiful life. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I love to walk the trails and beaches here in eastern Canada.
ReplyDeleteYou and your husband are lucky to have found each other, Baili. I feel similarly blessed.

But by the grace of God since 12 years we are living separate we are experiencing most beautiful times of our life!

A lovely story to share with us Baili. Romance and love....what could be better? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank you dear Linda!
DeleteSometimes obstacles enriche the romance more and deepen the love much more than in easy and smooth environments:)
I love walking. I have many activities that involve walking. One walk I'll never forget is when I got lost on Richardson island in the Arctic. It' uninhabited and large.
ReplyDeleteOh that is scary Red !
Deletethough i don't know what was your age then but sounds quite frightful to be lost in barren island !
It is a blessing to have a compatible life partner. Beautiful photos of Islamabad.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely that you have such a kind and supportive partner, Baili! Your photos are beautiful, and you look wonderful! :)
ReplyDeleteThe walk is a true romantic time. Your husband was wise to make that special day for the two of you.
ReplyDeleteIt is such a wonderful thing to have such a compatible husband that you enjoy talking with. Wonderful story.
ReplyDeleteThis is a nice story of you and husband's walk together. A memory that you will cherish always. What a sweet picture of the two of you, Baili. I smiled when you said as a young girl you didn't want to stay inside and you wanted to run around outside and explore. My older sister stayed inside a lot helping my mom, but I was outside building dirt forts with my imagination and going hunting with my dad. : )
ReplyDeleteWishing you sweet October days, Baili.
~Sheri
Thank you dear Sheri!
Deleteyes i wanted to be outdoors wandering and wondering just like boys do ,i was so jealous of them as they could stay and play out where ever they wanted but being girl i was housed as i reached in my teens. That was unfair and still is though so many things are changed and women have better and safer environments in outside world.
I should walk much more then I do.
ReplyDeleteBut I admit I'm lazy.
There is certain part of age when you can't afford to be lazy Pedro. Otherwise various health issues grow in the body . Walk atleast make it slow
DeleteWhat a heartwarming story 💖 You're both very fortunate to have found each other. A loving partner is one of the greatest blessings. Thank you for sharing this with us!
ReplyDeleteThank you dear Martha!
Deleteyes a caring and understanding life partner is biggest blessing ,he makes you feel "special" and that is "out of the world feeling"
I love to walk and might die if I couldn't. Your life and home are so fascinating to me. Thank you for sharing so much.
ReplyDeleteWonderful attitude Jono!

Our life is simple and seren with lots of gratefulness to our Creator and strong bonding of relationships!

ReplyDeleteThank you dear friend for your kind response.
DeleteI loved the fanciful "clicking "on your page.
Either i will be visiting to your beautiful blog regularly hopefully
It does seem very unfair that women are not allowed outside their homes, and I am so very, very glad that you found your husband agreeable to taking long walks with you. The beauty of the natural world is not for some people only; it is for everyone. What lovely pictures of you and your husband. You look very happy and comfortable together, which is what a married partnership should be!
ReplyDeleteDear Jenny!
DeleteIT'S NOT THAT WOMEN ARE NOT ALLOWED OUTSIDE.
THEY ARE ALLOWED, THEY STUDY THEY GO FOR SHOPPING AND THERE NO BERRIES TO THEIR FREEDOM AT ALL.
BUT UNLIKE WESTERN WORLD OR EUROPE WOMEN DON'T EXPOSE MUCH .
THEY COVER THEIR BODIES COMPLETELY.
SOME COVER HALF OF THEIR FACE BECAUSE MEN OUTSIDE ARE NOT AS LIBERAL AND COOPERATIVE IN STREETS AND MARKETS .
I MEAN BEING MUSLIM COUNTRU HERE IS STILL CONCEPTION OF WOMEN IS LIMITED TO MOSTLY DOMESTIC LIFE.
YOUNGSTERS FALL IN LOVE BUT CANT EXPRESS OPENLY.
HUSBAND CAN'T HUG HIS OWN WIFE FRONT OF OTHERS AS PEOPLE THINK IT IS SHAMEFUL TO EXPRESS YOUR PHYSICAL RELATIONSHIP BEFORE OTHERS .
IN BUG VITIES
Sorry for wrong press button above!
DeleteIn big cities life is different and relatively modern
You both are so blessed! Your walk was very special! Magical! Big Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYour garden seems to be very nice and peaceful. Beautiful to enjoy a cup of tea in.
ReplyDeleteThank you dear friend .
DeleteThis is our garden in recent month if October.
We will plant many seasonal flowering plants in this month
I felt the joy in your heart at being able to get out and explore Islamabad with your dear husband and just to discover more about each other in a way you didn't have a chance to do before, such a precious memory and walk indeed! So thankful that your husband is such a kind, caring and gracious man, what a blessing from the Lord! Such a beautiful picture of the two of you! I can see the sweet joy in your face, and the kind gentle spirit of your husband, thank you for sharing that! I enjoy your deep thoughts Baili, and am so glad that we are friends. You have deep wisdom of the soul, and I pray the Lord continues to bless and be with you and your family. Much love to you today dear friend :)
