Summer Nights Charm ,Images And Starlink

We sleep in our front yard during  summers . Last night when we laid down on our beds power went off  suddenly .Within a moment sky  appeared  in it's most magical manner. Dark sheet of sky beaded with countless shining stars seemed  so  low and close.Like some lady was carrying a basket of illuminating pearls and it slipped from her hands ,numerous stars spilled all over and were seemingly  about to  fall  on us .
Did you ever felt like this ?
being caught in such moment is enchanting believe me :)
I have been experiencing it  since when we used to sleep in our yard in my native village. Stars were  brighter and moon was bigger there thought.
I miss those nights  specially in summers .
During day when i cook i recall noon times of my village when clay oven placed in each yard would burn and ladies would cook (actually slap) their tortillas in them, rising smoke from each yard would  take it's direction where wind would push . Sometimes if some lady is busy in laundry or some other piece of work  would send her dough to another house ,to her girlfriend or relative so she can cook her bread for her family.
Love, trust and connection between families was inspirational. I am glad i have these treasures in my memory box.

I feel more content and peaceful when close to nature :)

won't wait for reaching  the  sky , i will grab  whatever  it's portion peaks  into my yard :)
i won't wait for garden and parks to open up ,i will pick up each smile of nature that is nurturing my soul :)

each  drop  has ocean within ,   insight  of my thirst  gives meaning to it's existence

captive in my physique i often find my soul swinging and waving to me from those glorious clouds :)

I won't  wait for big mountains of happiness to climb ,i will pick up  each  tiny  crystal  laying in my way and carve my own sun out of it :)

Last night  hubby and me woke up with  little noise by my younger  son who might woke up for toilet but was surprised to see many stars moving on the sky at once.just in image above .He woke us up and said see  i don't know what is happening as many stars are travelling in one direction .
We were puzzled  , quite shocked  actually as sight seemed  mysterious and scary at first until after few seconds we got into our senses and comprehend that  they must be some kind of satellites.
Satellites and as many ?
It was hard to get back to sleep with wondering mind tough we fall asleep .
My younger son did first thing when got up to google and found out they were satellite indeed ,it was relief to know .

Elon Musk an engineer and technology entrepreneur  of spacex has launched  thousand of satellites for better internet access. This is great news indeed .but was new for me :)

It is all for now precious people
keep being kind to yourself ,stay healthy and positive!
blessings to you all!

  1. You lost power, but gained a magical moment that will remain in your memory forever. I remember sleeping outside as a little girl and experiencing the same sense of wonder; that the night sky was a gift just for me:) Of course, I might have reacted differently if I had looked up to see those satellites...

The story of your neighbors helping each other is so heartwarming, as is reading about your appreciation of nature & its simple gifts. You've created the perfect post to start this week. Thank you, my friend:)

    1. how amazing that you also have been sleeping under open sky dear Chris :)

i can understand how these beautiful nights might have nurtured your artistic spirit :)
i think my connection with nature has groomed my poetic ability throughout life specially i spent in village ,i bet days you spent while absorbing natural beauty and wit strengthened painter within you :)
when i visit now to my village unfortunately things are different ,the so called awareness that has made people shallow in cities ,have damaged the purity of villagers either
still it's lot better than city ,to achieve same level of rudeness they will take time
i am honored with your last word my friedn!

  5. When I was a little girl my grandparents would sometimes come to town to watch television because they had no electricity on the farm. We children had no interest in the programs they watched so we would go out to play. A favorite thing to do was to lay between the rows of vegetables,in the garden and watch the stars. It was magical.

Elon Musk seems so young there. Did he think up all these things himself?

  8. When I was a child in a rural area, the sky was so dark and full of stars at night! They seemed close, like you could reach up and touch them. I miss those night skies. Once you move to a big city, they are gone forever. I've lived in big cities for 45 years now.

    1. when we moved to village i was hardly four probably and i think this is best thing happened to me ,i loved village ,it was like something misplaced was placed to it's correct place again ,village was within me somewhere when i was driven back to it by circumstances i felt peace and connectivity which nurtured my inner world
living in big cities means being disconnected from Nature and this is loss greater than any other i think

    1. it is impossible to sleep outside in winters when temperature is around 1 to 5 dear Red and i can imagine how harsh your winter nights must be there

you can try it in dry summer nights if you have some :) this is soul refreshing experience indeed ,in long term once you are able to form connection with stars above ,you will be missing them when they are not with you

  11. A beautiful post dear Baili.
I love your description of the stars being like a basket full of illuminating pearls.
When we travelled around Australia, we were treated to magnificent ... seemingly close-up views of the stars - so many of them - when in the outback and remote desert areas. The feeling is as you describe. We are tiny specks within the universe.
I do love those photos of your garden, the trailing vine with its exquisite flowers and the bright happy faces of your sunflowers - a real joy and its obvious how much pleasure they give you. Thanks so much for sharing them with us xx

  12. You had an eventful night it seems.
How wonderful to sleep under the stars so to speak, and it's amazing when there is not light in the night what you see up there in the sky.
    Well done for looking.

  13. what a beautiful post Baili. The sky is clear here since the airport closed and we can see the stars clearly - for many years they would be covered in cloud. Your stars look like like some kind of constellation, how special and beautiful to see this. My younger son likes sleeping outside and bought a tent.

Yes, I do love the sky at night...and I often sit outside in summer and just gaze up at it's magical beauty.😊😊
I can see why you were intrigued by those satellites...had I seem them, I would have wondered if we were being invaded by some aliens from another solar system!! 😉
I love those gorgeous photos of your garden too...oh thank you so much for sharing!😊😊

Have a lovely day...and stay safe, my beautiful friend!

    1. exactly what you said here dear

      " Invasion by aliens "
i was gull of sleep when i looked at them and first thought came in my mind was about aliens attack ,haha may be result of watching movies with same topic in past
second thought was just after that "judgement day" yes heard always about judgement day that will start with such exceptional events ,that was scary

thankfully within moments hit the idea of satellite and i relieved they were so :)

  17. All of your thoughts captured here are so lovely to read. It is like reading poetry! We are able to see the stars easily here if we step outside the house, so every summer I try to do that once in awhile. I do find it hard on the neck so probably I need to put a reclining lawn chair on the deck to lie down on!

I haven't see the satellites yet but have heard they are up there and visible. It would be very eerie to see them without knowing what they were.

Thank you for such a beautiful post, baili. It is no surprise that your memories of your village and neighbours helping each other are treasures to you. I hadn't considered this before, but I have many memories from my childhood village that are like that also. People came together to celebrate weddings and births and to mourn losses. They also came together just for fun - card games, dances, concerts. You and I were lucky to have good childhoods.

    1. this is so sweet of you dear Jenny :)

how nice that you too like to lie down outside ,being able to view night sky is such a spiritual experience indeed ,if you go through it magic lasts over your senses for quite long because such splendors are rare in city life

watching group of satellite that we thought of stars and which were moving mysteriously in queue was exceptional experience believe me ,it was scary at first sigh ,astonishing at second and adventurous at last ,i could not even think to witness anything like this in my life ,science and technology is getting more and more advanced day by day and being from village where people had no idea how quickly things are changing and developing specially within two centuries makes me wonder what next i will have to see ,this is exciting :)

memories about old days spent in y native village are treasure because they keep me serene and happy that i witnessed time when people loved each other on the base of humanity instead race or status ,i am deeply in love with Love i think this is most powerful and most dominant part of Nature and is Correct way to connect with my Creator .so i feel blessed to have these memories with me :)
i think no matter how modern and complex life of people become, To achieve True eternal Peace Love wills be the only source

  21. Dear Baili - “I feel more content and peaceful when close to nature.” So do I! Because we are part of nature. I’d like to sleep under the starry sky like you did in your native village. But in reality, I don’t like mosquito bites in summer. Have happy, peaceful days ahead.

  24. I love reading about the customs in your village - like sleeping outside in summer. When my kids were younger i would take them to visit my parents who lived in Arizona near the Colorado River. The summers were horried - 112 to 118 or more.... one time a couple of the kids and I slept on the roof of their house. I also remember the wonderful times I would sleep outside with the kids on the trampoline during a meteor shower. Only one son and I remained all night - the rest went inside.

oh that is quite a temperature you mentioned in Arizona ,here we are used to summers like these though and most of people sleep on roof during summer who don't have air conditioning system
it must be magical to watch metro shower while laying under open sky :) i never saw such thing except single star shooting :(

  27. Baili, unlike you I have never experienced sleeping outdoors either at my home or anywhere else (no camping for me). And while it was certainly a magical experience from reading your post, I also wondered about your comfort. Do you lie on the ground on some sort of bedding/netting to relieve any discomfort and any insects? It would have been impossible to sleep outdoors at our VA home because of dampness and mosquitoes. But all those questions aside, you have described such beauty of being outside and seeing the stars and sky and even satellites, which I too have not seen as not going outdoors at night. The flowers outside your home are beautiful and I can understand how they bring you joy and contentment. Thank you, as always, for sharing these wonderful photos and words with all of us. They are refreshing in view of the current world situation.

  29. It's always exciting to see the sky in all its beauty. We have watched satellites crossing the sky at my sister's home in Nova Scotia. There is much less light pollution there. How lovely that your son woke you up to see the sky!
