Hey Dear Friends!
Hope and pray that all of you are enjoying the healthy happy life with your loved ones .
Hope temps are bearable and moods are pleasant :)
Right now i am suffering with fever and motions which started from yesterday evening.
Though self medicine has bettered my condition still i am not out of it completely .Visiting doctor during renovation work is quite hard so i am relying on medicines which i always keep in house for such not so serious diseases .
Winter is in her extreme mood specially where minus 20 is recorded .Here in our city temps are mild low 7 and high 20.
Our renovation work is about to finish now ,may be 2 days more .Since almost two weeks we are hearing the horrible voice of polishing machine which seem to polish floors marble and grind our senses for almost 10 hours a day .
But this is nature of human that after a certain time he learn to survive in all kinds of situations and proves himself a most clever survivor among all species .
So no doubt we gonna miss her voice for while .Sharing some before after pics with you hope you will like them
Our front yard looked like this before renovation
during the polish it was looking like this
Today it's little clear, after 2 days hope will look even fine
Corridor between two rooms front of each other
the iron closet we placed here beside the ironing table as we have decided to decorate the room on right with new set of furniture , on left is our bedroom
in both rooms which face each other have new floor of tiles instead of marble which is installed in one of our living room ,lounge and front yard
we have not placed stuff back to it's place yet as work is on and everything is misplace. this is lounge front of living room
i took pic of polish machine today when man took lunch break
two days before when polish man left to pick up some tools ,hubby called me out in yard to take a breath in fresh air as i was confined since the work is on ,you can see our grain container placed in my garden ,worst thing is that all my tiny plants of sunflower have runned under stuff ,but hubby says he will bring new shoots and plant again.
this pic is from 2016 april
hope my garden will take this shape again soon to glorify my house :)
Thats all for now dear people ,saying goodbye with heartiest best wishes for all of you ,stay strong ,positive and smiling:)
God bless you all!!
Dear Baili. Love that picture of you! Hope you feel much better soon.
ReplyDeletethank you dear Linda!
Deletethis pic was taken by my youngest son who had my phone then
Bonjour,
ReplyDeleteMerci de partager avec nous l'évolution de vos travaux. Bravo !
Il est vrai que ce n'est pas une période facile à vivre.
Je vous souhaite un prompt rétablissement...
Bisous
it already looks beautiful, the floors are wonderful!!! Thank you for sharing, I hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeletethank you dear laurie!
Deletei appreciate your best wishes for my health God bless
Nice tile! I would rather have tile than the wood laminate we have. I really like your bedroom set. Nice garden area, it will be that way again soon, I hope. The temperatures - are you talking Fahrenheit or Celsius? We have 18F this morning.
ReplyDeletethank you dear Sharon!
Deletei love wooden floors really!
our bedrooms have three large beds though when i took pic only two were there til then.
i mentioned temperatures in celsius my friend
In Canada, we see beautiful marble floors like that only in public buildings and shopping centres -- too expensive for private homes! Tile, on the other hand, is more usually found in our homes!
ReplyDeleteThank you fpr kind words dear Debra!
Deletehere it is opposite
tiles are more expensive than marbles and more short living than marbles this is why we choose tiles only for two rooms where we don't rush much and marble for living room ,lounge and front yard where we stay most
Gosh, amazing before and after pictures...makes me look around my house and consider all the improvements I should be doing here too! 😉
ReplyDeleteI do so hope you are feeling better now...it must have been very trying, all the noise from the polishers, especially when you were feeling under the weather.
Still, it was worth it...your home looks fabulous!!
Much Love and hugs xoxo
Thank you dear Ygraine!
Deleteagree when one has numerous health issues such noise sounds miserable but it looks like i have learnt to survive all the tough times.
best wishes for your renovation plans my friend!
So glad the renovation is almost complete! It looks beautiful!
ReplyDeletethank you dear Christine!
Deleteeither we are happy :)
I hope you are blessed with improved health soon. Your new floors are beautiful. Just think of the great peace that will return once the polish machine is finished!
ReplyDeletethank you my friend!
Deleteoh yes only thinking of that moment keeps me positive ,eye on target you know:)
Love your photo, Baili. Your floor looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you dear Marie!
Deletefor your kind sweet appreciation
The floors look great Baili! But I would grow weary of that polishing sound too, I think it would drive me nuts! :) I loved getting a glimpse of your home! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you dear Rain!
Deleteyes sound is was scary few early days but now it seems we are getting habitual to it as when machine stops ,silence bit senses and when it starts again all seems normal lol
Those floors are just amazing! We will have to have a kitchen renovation soon. Hope you re feeling better☺
ReplyDeleteThank you dear natalia!
Deletehope your kitchen get renovation soon and you will share it's pics with us :)
What a sparkle the floors are going to have. Are the tiles marble?
ReplyDeleteI find it so interesting to see each other's homes when blogging. Gives a sense of who we are, how we live.
Sounds too cold at your house, come visit me, Nice and warm (51 degrees)!
Thank you dear Toni!
Deletemy smart phone camera is not smart enough to capture the whole glow of floors ,they do look shining .yes they are marbles in the lounge ,in living room and in the front yard.
In two rooms which face each other have floors of tiles though .
wow your weather is nice while all over snow and rains are ruling Toni!
yet i am enjoying the cold as after medicines my joints can bear the low temps too :)
it is not out of possibility to visit you my friend ,but remember i take teak very hot and with light milk
So pleased the work is almost complete.
ReplyDeleteIt does look very nice.
Sorry to read you have not been feeling well, hope you feel better soon.

Dear Baili, I hope you get to feeling better soon! Those floors are magnificent! The sunflowers too. :) Many Blessings.

Deletei hope i can get to see some sunflowers this year in my garden again as due to work all newly born shoots are destroyed
I so love the floors. I know you must feel they were worth all the noise. Your home is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou and your husband make a lovely couple. I pray you are well soon.
Jane x
thank you dear Jane!
Deleteeither i love peek of your wonderful home and all the effort you put in to make it look pretty
I am sore to hear that you are not feeling well. I hope that you feel better ASAP. Having renovations going on in your home can be so vexing and disturbing. The floors do look fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThank you Brain!
Deleteyes it is disturbing though but sound of machine feel like music as it make us realize that we are gradually moving towards end of all this mess lol
Feel better soon, Baili! I, too, keep a stock of over-the-counter medicines at home to take care of the things I can for my husband and me. It's no fun to have the fever and chills.
ReplyDeleteYour floors look gorgeous! I can imagine the noise because that polisher is grinding stone. Your garden will grow back and be the way you love it again. I love the decretive ~ I'm not sure what to call them ~ stone carved with patterns ~ you can see them in the first and last photos ~ especially in the last photo under the tree branch. They add such a lovely touch to you home. The photo of you and your husband is lovely.
We have sun again here today, and it's much warmer. Terry got up around 5 am, and it was -17º C outside; now it's 1º C. Terry is off having his post cataract surgery check up, and I'm about to go to the grocery store. We have 3 coffee beans left in the house ~ almost a crisis ~ LOL. We can't be without coffee in this house! At least I don't have to drive on black ice!
Take care, Balii. Thanks for sharing the photos of your lovely home. It will feel so good when everything is complete! Hugs to you!
Thank you so much for your warm sweet words dear Louise!
DeleteToday inspite of all work going on hubby is taking me to visit the doctor for throat 's further check up which seems better now though.
i really hope that my garden take it's shape back as without it;s greenery and blooms all seems just waste(don't tell my husband lol)
my garden is way to my breathing.
looking at it refresh my soul all the time and gives me sense of being close to God which is precious!!!i can imagine the value of coffee at place where cold is at it's peak ,meanwhile drinking coffee or tea or other fav drinks keep warm.
i hope your hubby's check up go well .glad you have sun hope will stay for while at least.
thank you for your kind best wishes my friend
I hope you feel much better soon. The floors look beautiful.
ReplyDeletethank you dear Lisa!
Deletefor your sweet best wishes

Baili, your floors look beautiful! I bet you are loving them. And that photo of you and hubby is so sweet. I hope you are feeling better!
ReplyDeletethank you dear Martha!
Deleteyes you are right i am liking my new floors and the reason is that now they will hopefully take LESS effort to be cleaned
Hope you are soon feeling much improved.
ReplyDeleteI should imagine there is a lot of dust - lots of cleaning after the men have finished.
It's looking very lovely.
thank you dear Margaret!
Deleteyes you are right about all the dust and cleaning we are doing each time he leaves yet the final huge cleaning program and arranging the house is left ,one or two days more hopefully
Everything is coming along nicely, and looking very good, I know you will be pleased once everything is completed. The pictures are nice especially the one of your husband and you.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jimmy!
Deletei am desperately waiting for the work to finish so we can be at peace and sit in a CLEAN and ARRANGED house again
The result is really nice.
ReplyDeleteagreed Pedro they look good indeed
DeleteI'm so sorry to read of you not feeling so well again dear Baili! I can imagine the sound of that machine would be very, very trying, but can you imagine doing that for a living? Wow. Just crazy! But your floors look so amazing, and how exciting it will be to have them done! I enjoyed seeing the pictures of your home! I will pray that you feel better very soon dear friend!!! Hugs :)
ReplyDeletethank you dear Marilyn!
Deleteyes as you know i am bundle of diseases lol ,but guess what self medicines did well for fever and loose motions within a day and today i am quite relived by the grace of God!
i adore your concern about people who drive these grinding machines for living .
Me and my husband talk LOT about this and appreciate such hardworking people who choose RIGHT PATH FOR LIVING INSTEAD OF ROBBING OTHERS LIKE POLITICIANS (most of them) and many other who strive for easy money
I notice the string beds, which in Singapore when I was a boy, we called "charpois". Very common then, not so now.
ReplyDeletei think you are taking about our traditional beds which are made up of dry strings and wood ,still common as they are easy to move around
DeleteDear Baili, the floors are glorious. So beautiful. And your home seems so welcoming.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you are feeling better and that your medicines are working. Peace.
Dear Baili, so sorry to hear you are not well and hope you are feeling better soon. It will be wonderful once all of the workmen have gone and you get your home back to normal.
ReplyDeleteSuch craftsmanship on the floors! I hope you enjoy them for many many years. How do you clean them? With a broom and mop?
ReplyDeleteYour husband is very good to look out for you and promise some new flowers. I know once everything is away and your plants are growing and your garden peaceful that you will feel much better. I am glad you are going back to the doctor and being looked after properly.
Thank you dear Christine!
Deletei used to wash once in a day my old floors but gradually they started to tore out so i centented with mopping only ,i think these one can be washed easily with wiper in hands
Hello, Dear Baili, I do hope that you are starting to feel better but I'm sure the noise is not helping your poor head! Your floors are so beautiful, all polished so nicely, and it is a lovely and cozy home that you have. I do love your beautiful courtyard and wonderful carved furniture! So nice to see your sweet faces, too <3 It is very nice of your dear husband to promise you new flowers. Take care of yourself and try to rest. Sending you blessings xo Karen
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear you're still not well, dear Baili, I hope you're taking good care of yourself. A big strong hug.

ReplyDeleteHi Dear Baili, I always enjoy stopping by your blog and leave with a smile on my face. I enjoyed all your photos and especially the one of you and hubby. You two look so happy! :-) I hope you are feeling better today. I also hope the work you are doing on home will be completed soon and you will be satisfied with all the work done. Thank you for sharing your blog and for your kind comments on mine. Take care, my friend, and may God bless you! John
ReplyDeleteI love marble floors and your look so glorious!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is alot of work! Looks beautiful!! Love the picture of you and your hubby! Big Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThe marble floors are BEAUTIFUL! They will be nice and cool in the hot weather, will they not? I hope you had some earplugs or at least some bits of cotton fluff to put in your ears while the workers were polishing!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling recovered from the fever today, baili. I hope you had a promising check-up at the doctor for your throat as well. You have had a rough time the last few weeks. Soon all will be back to normal for you, I hope. Hugs, my friend.
I am a little late on reading this post, Baili, and hope that the renovations will be done soon as I know you do as well. You and your husband took a lovely photo together. And I do hope you will be feeling better.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo of you and your husband! Renovations are a lot of work and most of us get very impatient. I don't like the dust everywhere but in the end when everything looks so beautiful one can see that it was all worth it. Thanks for sharing and may you have a lovely week.
