Misplaced May Be

We  all  born  in  different  circumstances  and  belong  to  different  background .

We  inevitably  inherit  genes  from  our  ancestors .

Our  parents  nurture us  with  their  love  and  resource. Their  influence   becomes  great  part  of  our  personality.

But  not  everyone  is  brought  up by parents  in  this  world. Many  kids  grow  without   biological  parents  or  under  the  care  of  guardian. They  grow  bit  differently  yet  with  same  human  nature  that  always  long and try   for  better  in  life.

As  adults  we  try  to  pursue  our  dreams  through  struggles.Sooner   or  later  we  get  success  too.

Normally  we  the  common  people  feel  content  once  settle  in  life.

Still   there  are  people  who  though  achieve  so  much  in  life  but  think  "there is  something  missing" or  "it  is  not  what  they  meant  to  be"
Or
"There  is  Need  to  do  something  to  feel  CONTENT"

Did  you ever  felt  in  your  life that   you  were  meant  to  be  something  else ?

  2. While growing we dream to be someone we are inspured
Though circumstances lead us to different destination dear Amalia

Latter may be we have all that one need to feel serne still our childhood dreams chase us
I had dream to be a career woman life turned me into a housewife and mother
Believe me i think my previous dream was may be result of economical crisis i lived through because i feel so full and complete in my present occupation as wife and mother otherwise there i might have an emptiness within my soul instead of contentment and serenity

  3. A big question.

I remember being in college, sitting in my dorm room and looking about the window, thinking, "Is this it?" Get an education, get a good job, buy new dishes and put them in a house and then buy more things. No, it was not enough. The world all around me said this is what you do. It said you make your own way. It said you are the god of your own life. It was lying to me. There is so much more.

    1. i think the "feel" you pointed about is problem of people (like me either) who live by soul more than mere a body

certain ways adopted by all astonish them and fill them with query that "are we living the life the way it meant to live" ?

they feel hard to convince themselves to be fit in stereotypes
for them it is like trying to swim against flow ,flow of their own Nature

what is important to understand is that do we make our "EXISTENCE SUCCESSFUL" no matter which way we choose to live by ?

are we living harmlessly with harmony to other creatures ,learning constantly for better and improving as person ?
if yes life is not wasted believe me ,i learnt about wanderers who spent their lives in exploring planet and people ,their desire for learning more kept them out of traditional life style ,they wrote books which inspired lives of so many for better
i believe their lives were not wasted at all because they succeeded to contribute in the goodness of others

i think there are so many people who cannot live the way they want to ,life makes them do different things ,may some of them can go under timely depression or anger which can make them harsh and for others which can complicate their lives ,only those who can realize what are they going through ,can get out of such psychological problem ,i think self pity is most dangerous thing which can turn a human into monster not just for others around but first of all for himself
once you break this spell ,you are out to feel normal and focus what is before you ,and when one is focused what if right front of him ,he can deal with it with all his positive strength

while knowing that life and universe is such a BIG THING and there is so much to do
we can still find pleasure within our space that life has for us to be part of big thing is so important that all little tools are working well :)

  4. I haven’t felt like that but I didn’t enjoy my work for the last few years before retirement. I kept going because I knew retirement was on the horizon. It wasn’t the job which was bad but the circumstances. I was fortunate to have enjoyed so much of my career.

    1. your positivism is admirable dear Marie

things that we cannot not change are never not to lament upon but to face and find way out
i truly believe that all challenges that life brings front of us to make us struggle to explore strength which is already installed with all of us and just need to be look for and this is what difficulties make us to do :)

  5. Great question Baili. You bring up so many mentally stimulating issues.

I was never big on regrets. With that, I understand that had I been more focused when I was younger that I would probably had achieved things that were more fulfilling later in life.

    1. i think it is normal feeling that we all deal with as we grow older dear Brain

our attitude is totally different when we are young so our focus is on different things and our energies are spent on directions which we later find were not to worth walk for mostly

physical changes slowly put influence on our way of thinking and we start to be more practical and long for things that are more meaningful
i can share your feelings about doing better in past when i think about my studies ,i never did hard work and for this i used to blame that unrest present in my parents relationship which i realize was just an excuse

  6. There are times when I wonder what it would have been like if I'd made different decisions. But that doesn't change anything. The past cannot be re-written. I am who I am and where I am. I try to focus on the present and seek the joy from the journey I'm on. I'm not one to spend too much time in the past, aside from reminiscing about the wonderful memories I have.

  7. Dearest Baili...all my life I have felt I am not good enough. Whatever I achieved, I still felt inferior to everyone else. I think my childhood years maybe have a bearing on this attitude...as my mother treated me quite harshly and always told me she never wanted me. But, now, in later adulthood...I have come to understand that everything that has happened in my life has been for a reason...lessons to be learned. I now believe I am exactly where I was meant to be...and that knowledge brings a kind of quiet contentment!:))
Oh thank you so much for this brilliant and thought-provoking post, my dear friend. It has reminded me to always look for the bigger picture...

    Have a wonderful weekend!

    Much Love & Hugs xxxxxxx

  9. I felt that way as an adolescent. I knew the life I was "supposed" to prepare myself for as a traditional wife and mother was not the life for me. I have not felt that way since because I have been walking my true path since then and have lived the life I wanted.

    1. dear Red believe i have strong doubts about your "should be"

i think we all get what we ACTUALLY WANT and ACTUALLY STRUGGLE FOR

if there are obstacles we try to find way to cross them with full strength ,and if there is failure ahead it means two things
one that deep inside we did not want it so attempt we made was not supported by FULL STRENGTH
or destiny (will of God) has better plan for you and believe me or not being millionaire is not best for all :)
your bit tough yet magnificently done past and beautiful life and family is proof :)

  11. I am very content in my life most of the time - being a wife and mother was the most important thing to me and I was lucky to have that. I'm also lucky to have work I enjoy and hobbies too. I feel very fortunate. Many people are never content no matter what they have, because (I feel) they are running after the wrong things. Other people, due to circumstances beyond their control, never achieve their dreams no matter how hard they work. I know how lucky I am and still it is good to be reminded of it now and then :)

    1. the contentment you have is rare and biggest blessing dear Jenny!

i think such satisfaction comes when you are quite clear what you need to do in life and what you truly want to have as human ,specially a woman
mostly we women are confused between family and career and this makes life complicated
you were lucky to have both my friend ,so i think there is no place for any regret remains behind :)
i agree about people who never feel at peace and always worry about something ,most of them you will find within upper class
abundance of life supplies and so much freedom of choices makes their life miserable
they think they are missing some more fun which can be done with resources they have ,it causes mental illness which they never be aware off i think
no matter where we belong key to peace of mind is BALANCE IN OUR ATTITUDE but we hardly do so

  12. Sometimes the most "successful" people are miserable because no matter how hard they try they are never "successful" enough. For the most part I am satisfied with not being particularly special, or "successful." Perhaps that makes me successful.

where a treasure hunters learns at the end that gold that he discovered could not give him what was most important "true peace of mind"

i wonder how many of us are fortunate to learn this secret of happiness

i belonged to lower middle class family with hand to mouth situation but what kept me with certain feeling of (being rich) was that i knew even then that money cannot guarantee "TRUE HAPPINESS" and i wanted true happiness in life only whether it comes by staying low profile life style and unknown or helping worst enemies :)
i can see how you knew from beginning that what does TRUE SUCCESS MEANS ?:)

i agree that many people realize later that it was not their thing to do ,to be honest we should be keep stick to our decisions to keep them right otherwise there is no definition for "right thing" i believe ,with lack of honesty and devotion we can loose even what we find is good for us

  21. Hello, Dear Baili, what a great question. Sometimes I feel like I missed out on some things in life - opportunities were missed for my own personal goals, but I sacrificed my own yearnings to raise my family and then take care of my elderly parents in their final years. Now I am taking care of grandchildren and my husband is retiring, so I will be taking care of him full-time, too :) I had my dreams....but I realize that I would have missed out on so many wonderful moments if life had led me down a different path. I am at peace with the results - a long marriage, a loving family, little ones to hug. But sometimes I wonder what could have been......Sending hugs xo Karen

if we ponder upon life ,whatever we do to achieve something and to prove ourselves successful so we can feel pride and peace for what we have gained after all the struggle
success in all other worldly things ends one eventual demand "true happiness and peace of mind"
if you have this ,you have all i think :)
your life is filled with all joys that are essential for happy serene living my friend and therefore you are victorious :)

When I was young I was firmly grounded and connected to our maker. As life goes on circumstances try to disconnect me (us) from that strong bond.

  28. What I wanted most out of life was someone who would love me and accept me for who I am, and for him to be someone I could love and accept for who he was. My life had a lot of unexpected twists and turns, and I ended up living in the United States which I never anticipated in my wildest dreams. Terry and I found each other, and he made my biggest desire come true. All the rest is icing on the cake. I am happy and grateful for the things that I have, but I don't need a lot to make me content. I consider myself among the luckiest women to have ever lived.

    Beijinhos!
