Hello dear friends !
Hope and pray that all of you are feeling the excitement of season and are busy in preparation for Christma the most enthusiastic event of the year which pour life in dull routines of usual days :)
According to news weather is being disturbing in some part of lands specially in united states of america .
Still there is much liveliness and excitement seems to roam about due to coming holiday and Christmas . Everybody seems to enjoy all the enthusiasm and fun related to festival .
Through the blogging world has squeezed for me ,i can feel the almost same sense of happiness inside me :)
as i am truly enjoying the knowing about fellow dear people who just like us celebrate their festival with all the traditional style by buying gifts for loved ones ,making festive meals and being together !
All what we do here on our festival like Eid ! We all create reasons for our joys and pleasures and we all celebrate them with same positive and optimistic perspective that "life is beautiful against all odds"
What i LOVE most about Christmas is
" giving gifts to loved ones "
this is very beautiful part of the event when everybody seems to
"think about others rather than just himself"
This makes this wonderful Christmas more special .
Each hearts feel for other heart ,thinks for his likes and dislikes try to buy or prepare gift according to the likening of his loved ones . Whole process takes long period of time and this is what matters most that we take time to think about others .
Either we here on our yearly festival Eid give each other gifts but they are mostly sweets and chocolates packets or cash which called Eidi.
But buying goodies or making gifts with hands is not in here and i want to start this lovely tradition here in my family too hope you won't mind :) i think learning is good?
anyway sweet people ,
HAPPY CHRISTMAS PREPARATIONS!!!
Enjoy the sensational season!
Now sharing some pics from our recent visit to the park situated beside the river Indus , and than next day to city hospital for the checkup (story next time).
Last sunday when i came out in front yard the whole tree was beaded with crows ,they flew when i tried to capture the interesting view
we decided to visit the park 45 minutes drive away from our small city khairpur
Hubby did not wore his fav black jacket as he thought if it rained ,it will spoil his jacket (annoying!) we saw a large family was getting in boat for riding
due to freezing northern weather river had less water ,barrage door were closed ,view was serene
medicines effect can be seen in slight swelling on face and little dizziness as hubby was asking me to stay away from water as he doesn't know swimming lol
we were early as park get crowded from evening ,instead of busy sides where rides were we sat for while near water
wind was cold so i wore sweater and shaal , quick shot by younger son
My naughty one!,taking selfie
found this spot appealing ! stood for quite a while
The man in boat asked us to take ride but we did not though i wanted to send him some money but hubby said he could mind as he is peasant not bagger
our northern areas having heavy snow and quetta which is in southern part of country though and not much far from our city is bearing minus 10 c.
Temperature in our city drops to 3 or 4 and rise till 21 or less so WE ARE HAVING STRONG WINTERS .
Take great care lovely people ,stay blessed with beauty of soul and peace of heart!
God Bless You All!!!
I love to see your photos!! Its beautiful where you are,, and yes making gifts is a wonderful tradition to share and thats the wonderful part of blogging we all can share our ideas,, we have always given homemade gifts at Christmas, its a tradition in our family, either food gifts or crafted gifts, enjoy your celebrations and take care of your health, I smiled when you said you husband wanted you stay clear of the water because he doesn't swim lol,, he does love you lol,,

DeleteEither i am enjoying learning about your glorious culture and traditions!
I think this is your own wonderful vision that you find in me my friend !
The best part of festive celebrations is being with those you love. Your walk in the park with your beloved family is a blessing. I hope the medicine you're taking is helpful to you and you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteAgreed my dear friend!
DeleteBeing together as family is most important thing regarding festivals.
To be honest either introverts like me enjoy such family gatherings:)
Thank you for your precious best wishes dear
Festive occasions are special especially if we can be with family and friends and we show love for one another in small ways. Thank you for sharing your walk by the river. It was good to see other families there and that you also found a quiet place before you went for your checkup. I hope that it went well and you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right dear friend !
DeleteSuch occasions give us chance to get together and feel that without family our existence cannot achieve meaning as drop of water has no value when out of it's pond.
Family and friends are important during the holidays. The food and presents are a bonus!
ReplyDeleteVery true dear Marie!
DeleteBeing with family and friends make us important and complete
I always feel at peace near the water. It is beautiful there where you are. The thing I like most about Christmas is that it makes us stop to say we love our people. It is something we should do all year long but sometimes let ourselves become too busy. I am looking forward to seeing your baked goodies. Can I give you a simple recipe?
ReplyDeleteIn a large (13x9 inch)cake pan melt one stick of butter
Add 1 and 1/2 cups of graham cracker crumbs and press into butter to make a firm crust
Pour one can of sweetened condensed milk over the crust.
Pour 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips onto crust (I sometimes mix in other small candies for a total of 2 cups)
Cover with 1 and 1/3 cups of coconut
Top that with 1 cup of chopped nuts
Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes.
Let cool and cut into squares.
I can sit near water for hours dear Emma! This is therapeutic!
DeleteAgreed that expressing our love for each other should not be bound with festivals only it must be revealed throughout the year!
THANK YOU SO MUCH DEAR EMMA FOR SUCH SWEETNESS!!!
Perfect gift for Christmas :)
I would love to try this delicious sounding recipe my friend! And each bite will take as your Gift ! Thank you
Happy celebrating, Baili! Not much snow here yet, just a few flurries. It is a wonderful time of year. Happy Eid to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteThank you dear Sandi!
DeleteIn Pakistan there is lots of snow near my native northern areas and some southern part near our this city so cold is at almost it's peak .
Yes in spite of all the harsh weather people are enjoying this beautiful part of the year and proving that heat of love is powerful that cold of snow haha
What lovely pictures of your family, Baili. You have a handsome young son. I think it's special that you want to start making homemade goodies for loved ones - I think that is the best kind of gift. Deletecrows are so fun to look at ,lots of them here too ,trying to threat the other birds which is annoying though
Dear Baili, One of the things I love about your blog is the way you share your kind heart and encourage us to learn the truth: giving is better than receiving. The lesson is an old one, but one that often is hard to learn to appreciate. I think the older I get, the more I realize the truth in this. Many thanks for this wonderful, encouraging post! Thank you, as always, for sharing and for your kind comments on my blog. Best wishes for the Season to you and yours. Take care and be well! John
ReplyDeleteThank you John for kind supportive response as always!

Dear Baili, thank you for sharing these wonderful photos of your trip. This park looks very lovely, and you are beautiful in your blue shawl. I hope everything went well in the hospital.
ReplyDeleteBuying or making gifts is a lovely thing, and it's even fun to do. :-) I think you will find lots of pleasure in this tradition. :-)
Take care of yourself! Hugs!
It is always interesting to read about the traditions of other people in the world, near or far. And maybe pick up some other traditions and make them our own.
ReplyDeleteYour boys are getting tall quickly! What a lovely place to go for a walk. I wish you good health and an easing of your joint pain, my friend.
Lovely selection of photo's here Baili, thank you so much for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
You are so expressive, Baili! Your description of crows beading the tree in your yard was vibrant and original, and it delighted me. I even shared it with my husband. Sometimes you take my breath away with the beautiful images you create with words. You have the heart of a poet, my friend! I loved seeing your photos of the Indus River!!!
