Hello Dear Friends!
Hope and pray that all of you all breathing smoothly , thinking ,sublimely and acting wisely in all your dealings with life and relationships.
As you know that i have a sister six year younger than me. we have so many beautiful and priceless memories of our life together back in my native village.
In my whole life i never saw child as pretty and intelligent . We walked along over the hills towards school holding hands of each other .
Six month old , hyderabad city where we lived and my father had watch mending shop,WE lived there until my elder brother died with t.b .After which my mother fell ill for so long and doctors asked my father to change the place ,we moved to my maternal village ,i was six
Our depth of relationship was amazing and credit goes to my most loveable mom who always keep repeating that "shabana she is your little sister ,you have to take good care of her when i am not around ".
Mom and her
Many times i made her sit on my shoulders like doll and wandered around to please her . I start thinking of her s my own child because the motherly feeling are injected in my blood for all around though but she was my blood,my little sister.
My cousin (daughter of my father's sister on left, mid my sister ,on right my sister of my husband , my native village
Like home and village she was popular in school as a most CUTE and Intelligent student .
putting little scarf around her neck when she recited in school assembly in morning and read poems and national songs in functions everybody seemed crazy for her including our strict teachers who picked up in their lap and kissed her and give her chocolates ,no other kid has such importance as she did.
Three of them again on my engagement day ,sitting on wall
I felt proud she was my little sister . Unlike me she was vibrant ,talkative and center of the attention where she went . Many times i fought for her in school ( little kids fights) without caring that i will get punishment for this .
Niagara Falls canada ,during honeymoon (first marriage)
Many times i took blame upon me for her naughtiness and how strange that my mother never punished me as she knew i was lying .
Pregnant with first child (second marriage), u.s.a
When i had to leave my govt job and get married because of the bad environment created by my eldest brother and his wife i brought my younger sister with me and admitted her in high school for education .
with Ahsan my( eldest son ) Islamabad Ayoob Park, probably 2008
She lived here with me for almost four years and then left when her studies were completed.
When she visited native village with her one month old baby girl Dua! 2012 hopefully
She got married with one of her boss during her job and moved with him to U.S.A ,there she lived for six years in washington and virginia .For some reasons her first marriage ended with no child.
Dua with her father (second husband)
She is living happily in Islamabad now with her in laws . Her three children are american citizen as they born there coincidentally .
Dua with her grand mother (my mother )
We have not met since three years because each time in summer vacation we go to Islamabad she goes foreign to spend summers . We call each other sometimes but i miss her and kids a lot.
One year old Dua ,studio foto
Today i am sharing quite a bit of her talents as she is really talented ,quick and brilliant in her presence and doings. She does online jobs just to feel better and earns a lot .
With her two children third one was not born yet
She is fantastic photographer . She is stunning painter but i only have her most earlier art when she was in her teens, hope you like it .
her drawing when she was in 8th grade
gradually she got better and better ,i wish i could have more of her work to share
her imagination seems mature
Girl beside the lake ,isn't it a beautiful imagery !
Precious Fellows , that's all for now , it is 4pm and i have to sit with my youngest son to support him in his homework and further studies for coming monthly exams.
Please Take great care of yourself ,appreciate the moment you got to breath with the realization of all blessings you may be taking as granted right now .
God Bless You All!!!
My granddaughter is six years old than her infant brother. It was interesting to hear how protective you are of you sister, who is six years younger. I can see why you'd miss your sister so much when you don't see her for a long time.
ReplyDeleteYou are wonderful and loving sister. I hope you get to spend some time with her soon.

A wonderful post about your lovely sister! I do hope you might get to see her in person soon. Or have you considered skyping with her? (google: skype) where you use a tiny camera hooked up to your computer to see each other and talk to each other. But better still would be a visit in person :)

I enjoyed reading about your family. Your mother was a strong woman. My heart breaks for her losing her son. I'm glad to read how she encouraged you and your sister to be close. A good Mom.
thank you dear Sandi for sweet words ,
DeleteMy mom for her kids was like a wonder woman
She was only primary school passed but her deep insight and amazingly strong will power gave us (both sisters) a strong base of life and specially she prepared us for facing the world with confidence and strength and it was her most precious gift for us.
She faced lots of hardships but never let us effected by them.
she tried to give us better way of life more than the little girls living among ignorant environment can have .
she stood against her elder brothers to send us school ,they broke up all relations with us for more than two years and then my uncle who was annoyed fell from a hill in deep water of lake below and went insane and remained hospitalized for many months ,it was mom who saw him then , pulled him from water and inspite of being a 50 plus ill woman she put him on her back and walked towards the home from where she took her hospital and during all these months she looked after he as my uncle wife was pregnant .
After the death of my elder brother mom fell ill and she too like her late son suffered with t.b but by the grace of God she survived with proper cure within few years.
she cried aloud for him whenever Eid or such special days came as he died just today .
If i write about her characteristics i can write a book ,truly i wish everybody should have a mother like her with such wisdom and strength
You should write a book! And what a message that she cared for your Uncle after all that. She taught by doing and look how it has molded you. Amazing power a Mother has. God bless her.

Such a lovely post on your sister, you were a very good sister to her. I am so sorry that you haven't had a chance to see her in such a long time, I am thankful I can see my siblings at least once a year and sometimes twice a year. I hope that you will be able to connect with her again soon!
ReplyDeleteDear Connie!
Deleteyou are truly lucky to see your brother and sisters once in awhile as it is a huge blessing .
i always asked for life filled with simple small joys of life as love and gatherings of family ,it relives me
Beautiful post and a beautiful family, very heartwarming and hopefully a great reunion will happen in the nearest future. Warm greetings and best wishes.
ReplyDeleteThank you dear Blogoratti!
Deletei hope so ,amen
Your beautiful sister looks like you. I smiled when I read the part about you taking the blame for her naughtiness and your mother not punishing you because she knew. Your sister is very artistic. I'm sorry it's been so long since you've seen her. Hopefully, that will change soon.
ReplyDeleteOh dear i can't believe this!
Deletebecause i truly know she is far beautiful and smarter than me lol
I have 'okay ' kind of looks and i am sooo content and grateful for them as being exceptional brings lots of pressures and responsibilities and i am so lazy haha
What a great sister! And I do not think I have ever seen such a pretty little baby as she was. Her own children are also beautiful. But she was quite an exceptional baby! How lucky she was to have you as her older sister.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Dear Jenny!
Deleteyou are so generous to praise her cuteness as much ,she was special indeed ,for mom and for me ,she was my little doll and when came the special days or events i made her more pretty with light make and ponies and my heart leaped with joy when she moved around like a pretty fairy!
Great post about your sister ! Indeed very talented, her drawings are beautiful! I am happy to hear your family was very close and that was so much love among each one of you. That is beautiful!! Thank you for sharing this lovely post.
ReplyDeleteThank you dear Angela!
Deletebeing a family our closeness was all due to my mother's attitude towards her family .
She was woman with low worldly education but vast insight and wisdom that she earned from her life experiences .
She was our exis and our days orbitery ..after school and being free from homework i loved to listen what mom tell about LIFE,PEOPLE and share her experiences and give us advice to alway be confident and self dependent .
she used to say "do good with others and God will return it to you somehow ,sometime, somewhere.
Her whole family had lots of field and farms ,barns , but she had only a house and a field for growing crops or vegetables but she did not spent anytime on field as if she did so she had to leave us alone at home which she did not found good so she grew veggies in her home yard and when harvested ,she distributed it among friends and family though the harvest was not much but her heart was so big
lovely post about your sister, and love the words on the right bar. Iam happy you went by my blog
ReplyDeleteThank you Dortesjs!
Deletei am glad you noticed the words at side bar my friend.
these are my personal opinions consequently from my personal experiences in 47 years of my life!
sad you don't have your sister close by, but your memories are beautiful of her and she is quite a talented artist
ReplyDeleteBaili, it was nice hearing a little about your sister. She sounds wonderful. Her baby daughter looks very much like her when she was little. Her drawings are lovely, and what a talent she has. She looks very pretty, and these pictures of all of you are treasures, indeed. I am the little sister also and the youngest of the family. : ) I hope you stay close to her always.
ReplyDelete~Sheri
Thank you dear Red Rose Alley!
DeleteI can't say how does it feel to be protected by your elder siblings as I though have one elder brother "(8 years elder) but unfortunately he never behaved like an elder brother who loves us .
I am glad that I made my existence easy and nice by being caring about my little sister .
You are right her daughter reflects her childhood in features.
I grew up listening from all that the elder sister is so simple and has "okay" look but the little one is really smart and extremely beautiful.
She belonged to me so I took all compliments as they were for me too after all she is MY SISTER!
Beautiful post on your sister, I wish you all the best :-)
ReplyDeleteDear Baili, this was a lovely post about your sister and I enjoyed seeing all the wonderful photos you shared and her artwork, which was very nice indeed.
ReplyDeleteHello Baili, wonderful memories for you. Your sister and family are beautiful. Pretty artwork. Lovely photos and post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh Baili, I live 5 mins from my younger brother and 25 from my older brother. We don't see each other or talk every day but we know that we are all there. I know it must have been hard when your sister moved. I can relate though cause I live in Tennessee USA and my son lives in Calif. USA. Take care.
ReplyDeleteDear Pam thank you for nice words.
DeleteActually the way we brought up here in east family comes first and visiting each other is kind of obligatory more than preference .
I am since beginning a person who chose always love and family among other options so it hurts me to though we are alive but unable to see each other for while to share hearts like true sisters
Lovely post!
ReplyDeleteDear baili - this was a lovely tribute to your sister. Even as a child she did have wonderful talent. Thanks for sharing your photos and personal story. Have a beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteThank you Debbie!
DeleteI find our childhood like a fairy tale where i had a real fairy like sister by the grace of God
Yes what a beautiful story of your sister.
ReplyDeleteYou sister are so lucky to have a sister like you.
ReplyDeleteThank you dear!
Deletemay be i am more lucky to have her as my younger sister
What a loving older sister you are. She has beautiful children. I too, know the
ReplyDeleteenjoyment of a younger sibling too, as I have a brother who is 14 years younger than I.
Thank you for letting us read your story.
You were blessed with a remarkable mother, Baili! She had such love and strength and determination. I'm so sorry that she lost her son to TB. That must have been devastating, and I can't imagine how a person recovers from that. Her love for you and your sister must have helped pull her through.
ReplyDeleteI'm working backwards to catch up, so I just read your newer post about your sister. Her artwork is precious, and how lucky you are to have it. That has to be the happiest cow I've seen in a drawing! You can see her artistic style maturing from picture to picture.
I enjoyed all the photographs from your younger days. Family mementos and memories are precious. You were a wonderful big sister to your younger sister throughout her life. It's obvious how proud you are of her and how much you love her.
Not everyone is fortunate to have a straight path in life. Some wander around in circles before they find the right direction. I hope that she has finally found happiness in her current husband and beautiful children.
Love and hugs to you!
