Morning’s Innocence Poem by Me

When I woke up in the morning

World was at peace

Like a baby in cradle in sleep so deep

Birds singing songs soothing and sweet

Twigs  lovingly enjoying their tweets

Breeze whispered quietly

Blooms rustled and chuckle

To the dreaming sky ,sun softly tickle

He turned back with closing eyes

But couldn’t resist Sun’s deepening smiles

Stream flowing calmly as she knew her path

When turned to the corner gazed the giggling grass

It wasn’t though ,it  seemed  so

Trees stood intellectually reading paper ( fields) below

Fields lying leisurely so drowsy and quiet

In charm of stars they befriended last night

But Sun’s alarm was very loud and bold

Her peaceful state ,world further could not hold

As  sharp sun rays, spread quickly everywhere

Shaking everything with astounding dare

Undesirably I  had to leave my place

Part of me remained still there in the phase

I stepped forward to join the crazy race

All my  readymade wishes were calling me to chase

Chaos of  the day robbed me of my metaphor

But a hope of the evening twinkled in heart’s corner

  2. You must be a morning person. Some people like to get up early. I like mornings but I still don't get up early.

    1. Dear Red , honestly all my memories of early rising belong to life years I spent in my native village 🥹 whenever I am able to relive those moments with perfect beauty of nature around me back then I feel I can write endless poems about it 🥹
It’s been 35 years in the small city and early rising is just a dream ,though I catch up with early sunrise sometimes luckily

  9. Such an incredibly beautiful poem, I love the words you chose to share the beauty of the day, and the sadness you felt at leaving such a beautiful place, to go back to the busyness of the day. You have a way with words, my dear friend! Appreciate you so much, and the beauty you share with us!

  10. Baili, this is a lovely poem and what wonderful thoughts you have expressed. To me, early morning is the most beautiful part of the day because the world around me is not yet awake and everything, including myself, is at peace at least for a while.

  11. Dear Dorothy, isn’t it sad how modern life is taking our peace of mind away with never ending invention and needs , news ideas of necessity are being ploughed into our minds and we are chasing everything blindly like running after mirage in the desert.
Few moments in early morning are reminder of days when people enjoyed natural ways of life, had least stress and more healthy mind and body

  15. Dear Baili,
Your morning world felt soft and true,
A cradle calm in silver dew.
I walked those quiet paths with you
Where breeze and bloom their peace renew.

Though day breaks loud with hurried pace,
And pulls us all into its race,
That tender dawn still leaves a trace,
A twilight hope we can retrace.
    John 🙏
PS Happy days ahead for you.
Thank you for kind words on my blog!

  16. If we go outside and take a walk, all the Earth is at peace. If we look online, it is at war.

  17. Dear friend Sandi
This poem is pure product of my nostalgia of my mornings I have spent in my native hilltop home 🥹
Yes unexpectedly and unfortunately there is war , time is long gone when I thought humans are tired of warring each other after great world wars in 1940s
With broken heart I can hope and pray only that such day may come. Though it seems far fetched idea when looking at the history and pattern of life on our planet 😞☹️

  18. I love your poems, Baili! Your images are fresh and original and you capture the emotions we all feel. Nature can fill me with hope, when things feel hopeless. This poem was filled with lovely images, and I could feel the sharpness of the sun's rays throwing me into a chaotic busy day and worries of war. The evening is always hopeful, because I can tumble into bed and dreams, forgetting about it all and in the hope of a new and brighter day. Better days will come! Much love to you, my friend!
