Back To Our Home

Hello precious Friends πŸ₯°

Hope everyone is having blessed, beautiful days by the grace of GodπŸ₯°πŸ™

We are back home after spending almost two awesome months in our bnb rental ( thanks to our eldest son and God who gave him capacity and wisdom to do so)  Time flew by so quickly as they say good times seem shorter. Best thing was existing without feeling constant heat pressure and sweating πŸ₯΅ And for it we felt thankful everyday πŸ˜πŸ™ When it started to rain in first week of our arrival we were overjoyed πŸ₯ΉBut it was heartbreaking to keep receiving sad news from different parts of the country then . Heavy rains seemed unusual though but land-sliding and flooding caused serious damage to the property and many people, specially tourists who were visiting the upper northern part.  Such incidents made it hard to focus on bright side. Hubby would tune in the news channel after finishing exercise and I would prepare breakfast. The horrible news would make my heart heavy. Everyday The last line of the news would be that hundreds of people died in Palestine because of attacks and hunger. It would make it painful to eat afterwards honestly!  Then one day I suggested hubby if he can switch new time ,and he agreed. News about floods and earthquakes in various parts of the world keeps me sad and I know I can’t do anything to correct them. But I can help those around me who suffer from any such tragedy or pray to the God for whole humanity! And I never stop itπŸ₯ΉπŸ™

We arrived here yesterday morning (11 am almost) . I was terrified already with assumptions of possible heat we could face but continuous rain in different areas has deduced the heat here as well thankfully!
Loads of cleaning were waiting for us which we did until the evening. We were utterly exhausted and fainting during dinner so went to bed early. Today is cloudy but still hot . But I. Know I will be used to it within week because I am spent 33 years here. Hubby said once paper work of retirement is over we can stay in Islamabad for all six extremely hot months. To be honest,we have skipped the idea of buying house in Islamabad because of very high inflation rise we have seen in last four years. It was highest jump ever I believe.
Sharing below some shots taken during trip to two different
places . Hope you will enjoy the glimpse.

One of the best things was I could meet my sister, I asked her if she can accompany me to the graveyard as I wanted to visit my father ‘s grave like every second year we come. She agreed and we could spend some nice sisters time together by the grace of God πŸ™  it was a lovely meeting which gave us opportunity to exchange our thoughts on matters of common interest like family, relationships and children particularly.

This one was captured by youngest son in Fatima Jinnah Park,a largest family walking (750 acres ) lush ,serene and very beautifully maintained.  It was 15 minutes drive away from us yet we visited there few times because of its lovely environment. We finished our walk and sat down to enjoy the beauty of surroundings ,then I asked my son to take a photo so I can share it in post and revisit the moment sometime ☺️ park hardly remains empty but morning and evening are pretty crowded.

I took this picture during our visit to Rawalpindi Lake View Point Park , it was very cloudy day actually but we decided to take the risk of being drenched in the case of rain.  When we arrived the  rain started but it was very thin and periodic and stayed that way during whole day. Visitors seemed happier with lovely weather.  An unknown small local band was singing songs on microphone with original background music which was played on record ( I didn’t know it could be done that way actually) many people were surrounding the band ,few were coming ,staying and cheering then leaving. Some were appreciated with money including us.

Music has filled the place with spiritual elegance and emotional depth which turned every scene in something more profound and meaningful!

Dams are full  after the one week rain

I noticed an English woman  passed by with her Pakistani husband but we were returning hurriedly so couldn’t take the photo.

Combination of breeze in slight rain was so great to feel good πŸ€—♥️

Thanks for being with me dear friends!

I wanted a write more but time is up . I have to say prayer and then make green tea . I bet you too pray for yourself and for all we all love dear friends! God is always around and within. Everything we have is his gift . So thanking Him is must ! And praying for us and for all is needed. He can guide us to do better in life and spread love instead hate!
Thinking of you all dear friends πŸ€—πŸ₯°πŸ™♥️
Sending much love and best wishes to all Amen πŸ₯°πŸ™

  1. I agree with helping those around us when we can’t do anything about the greater issues of the world. If everyone did that, the world would be so much better. I hope you can stay cool there, Baili. Take care.

I fully agree that when we can’t control issues of the world what remains in our hands except not adding our own mess to the world and trying to help others who are directly affected by the situation.
I just hope, wish and pray that everyone think same way to bring peace to this disturbing world πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

  4. I enjoyed seeing all your wonderful photos, especially the ones of you and your sister, and you and your husband. He is looking very relaxed and smiling, so he must be enjoying retirement! I'm glad you escaped the worst of the summer's heat. And yes, the news is very distressing these days. You were wise to change the time of viewing!

And thank you for liking the photos πŸ₯°
You have such a sweet heartπŸ₯°♥️

I believe hubby is a very special person with wonderful personality which is blend of wisdom and smartness. I hardly saw him act or react haphazardly in thirty four years of marriage. So you can imagine how can he go with that phase of his life. I don’t know what he has in mind but I can sense whatever it is,it will be nice for him and everyone around him!
Skipping two hottest months was definitely huge relief my friend πŸ™
It’s August almost but heat is unbearable and it will stay that way until last days of September as usual ☹️

  6. As always you have written a lovely post of heartfelt feelings. I really love this photo of you and your sister. You do resemble each other. It is the nicest thing for your son to give you 2 months vacation time. Rawalpindi Lake area looks amazing. A nice place to visit. I always like seeing you and your DH in photos. Blessings to you my friend.

      Thanks my friend ♥️
I remained puzzled actually because I haven’t got any positive sense of touch from my sister. She contacted me for personal reasons and then no sign of her. It was painful to coming back without seeing her as she is my sister after all. I am thankful for her positive response to my offer of meeting and my heart felt peace as things seem to fall on their natural way πŸ₯ΉπŸ₯°πŸ™

Lake view park is packed with visitors throughout the day because of it’s beautiful location and as you know being around water brings tranquility to senses πŸ₯Ή☺️
Hugs and best wishes to you and loved ones dear friend πŸ₯°

  10. The photos are lovely and you and your sister look alike, Baili.
Good to visit your dad's grave not always an easy thing to do.
Try to keep cool at home. I didn't hear about the heavy rains up your north until you mentioned it, dreadful.
My youngest son hasn't watched the TV news for years, said there are only tragic things on it, but he does of course see it on the Internet.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us πŸ™
I truly agree that visiting graves of parents is a heavy thing to do. My sister told she couldn’t for long . But I can’t resist paying visits to them whenever it’s possible! It’s painful to realise that people who loved, provided and protected you once are laying under the weight of soil now. God has created nature and its rules hardly care for what we feel. Still we are given a heart to feel and grieve until our last breath!
I think your son is wise to check news on internet only and not watch them on big screen tv with loud voice. It certainly makes our senses feel burdened and pressured, specially if we have sensitive hearts. Hubby used to do that too for some years . But now when he is retired and at home,he can feel an urge to watch news on tv . I have asked him to watch news on tv once a day and avoid when we are about to have meals at least. I hope he will remember this because he knows how I feel.

  11. It's lovely that you have that picture with your sister and can look back on that time together. I think you are a very content person both in the material world and spiritually but I hope you had a few little treats and indulgences. There's so much happening in the World that needs putting right and sometimes I find its best to close down social media, it's not good for us to have the news coming into our homes so much. My grandmother used to say 'what the head doesnt know, the heart cannot grieve for' - not sure if this will work in translation for you but I think it's an old proverb of the English. Glad you are safely home. Betty

I really appreciate your words and how you have put your thoughts so wisely. Yes I believe that I could get the essence of this proverb shared by your dear grandmother my friend. I think it says that a heart depends on our mind for information it receives from outside world. Our heart has emotions which convert that information into emotions that make us feel good or sad or anything else.
I have suffered severely while growing up because of my highly sensitive heart . When doctor who treated my stomach ulcer advised to stay away from much deep thinking about stressful matters because it affects your stomach directly. He said imagine your stomach has your instead head. I couldn’t focus this reality described by doctor until I myself realised that it’s true. Later my parents death led me towards meditation slowly and I felt how necessary it is to separate your mind from heart . Because you can’t control anything in this world at all whether people or circumstances everything comes and all you have control of is how you respond to such situations.
When bad things happen, they still make me feel bad and sad but my mind helps me now to pull me back and stop me from falling into a dark pit . I am thankful for that ability I could achieve by the utter grace of God!

Dear Betty you have such a generous heart to say such kind words for me! I feel honoured and blessed to have such lovely friends in blog world who strengthen my faith in goodness and my love for humanity πŸ₯ΉπŸ₯°πŸ™♥️

  14. Time did go by so fast, Baili, and it hardly seems like you were away from your home for 2 months as I enjoyed reading your posts from the rental apartment, which looked very nice. I agree with you that the news reports of tragedies, unrest and more can be distressing, so I limit my reading online news to a short time each morning and nothing more. It’s good that your husband agreed to listen a different time so that you would not be upset during breakfast. Meeting up with your sister must have made your heart very happy and especially visiting your father’s brave together. Glad that the heat was not intolerable on your return home and there is always cleaning to be done after being away, but slow and steady is the best way.

  15. Dear Baili, it sounds like you had a thoroughly wonderful time in Islamabad. It's so good that you had a place to run away from the heat of where you live. Your husband's idea to spend 6 months of the year in Islamabad after all his paperwork is finished is a great idea. You can avoid losing money on the high cost of buying a house there. I think that is wise. I'm glad you had a chance to visit with your sister and also to visit your father's grave. I too must make a visit but it is hard to get to the place. Take care Baili until next time.

  16. Beautiful photos, baili! I am sorry you could not stay longer in Islamabad but it was very thoughtful of your son to provide two months' respite from the most extreme heat. I'm glad to hear you will be able to spend six months of the year there once your husband's paperwork is complete. I agree about the news and I find those feelings extend to even the small things I see locally that upset me. Your approach to living with the feelings is the sensible one. Hugs, my friend. Don't try to do all your cleaning at once - the work will still be there tomorrow, so pace yourself!

  17. I was so pleased you were able to be away from the extreme summer heat.
Many countries seem to have experienced hot temperatures this summer.
Of course after the sun rain and floods often follow which is not good.

I did enjoy seeing all of your photographs.
Lovely to see you with your sister and I like the one with you and your husband too.

    Sending my good wishes.

    All the best Jan

It must feel good to be home and hope the heat stays away. Love the photos. looks like such a beautiful area. and 740 acre park - wow...I would love to see that

It’s lovely and hear from you always !
How nice you enjoyed glimpses of my simple world πŸ€—

I fully agree that whatever is happening in the world is not in our hands. The only thing we can control is our thoughts and actions adding more damage to it. No glass has been made completely full, we all lack some thing. We can’t tolerate bad assume from experiences and observations that such lack lead us to move and grow to get what we lack . World isn’t exception . It bears good and bad equally and both sides are at work since the world has been created. I feel there is a force that is keeping balance between both energies so world don’t just get vanish but stay in existing position. One can wonder hard how and why but we don’t have answers to any such question until now. The only thing we can guess that whatever the Force it is ,it hardly cares for our emotions and feelings.

  21. Baili - your trip and vacation pictures were so lovely. It was good to see you with your sister and your hubby as well. It is always hard to catch up when one gets back home...so can imagine you were very tired. I am with you regarding bad news...there is only so much a heart can handle and seeing it everywhere is not easy. Like you I tend to focus on what I can do in my little corner of the world and leave God to take care of everything. Hugs!

I think everyone does what suits them, we can’t tolerate bad news because we are so sensitive at heart which makes us vulnerable to depression easily.backing off from news helps to stay calm mentally.

  22. Your retirement plans to spend the six hottest months in Islamabad sound like they suit you well. Your visit with your sister and to parks was fun, I can tell. My family finds some news very disturbing so we limit ourselves and back off from the news when we listen too much. There is a lot of good news too, thank goodness.

  26. Hi, Baili! I'm back home from a short trip, and things are finally slowing down after a hectic summer. I'm starting here, and then moving forward to catch up on your posts. Your time in Islamabad flew by so fast! I'm glad that you and Ali can anticipate spending the hot months of the year there. I worry about Pakistan a lot because I know it is a country really impacted by global warming. And I worry about you and your family! I know I've been very irregular at blogging, but I think of you all every day. I enjoyed your soft, rainy, cool looking photos. And I'm glad that you spent time with your sister. I'm not going to make it to Nova Scotia this year, and I am sad about that. I still hope to fly to Calgary and see my brother Roy and sister Donnie. Please stay cool!
