Flowers and Needle work with Few Words

Hey kind people ! hope i am not much late to read your blog or responding any sweet comment of yours.

My younger son left last night . He informed in the morning today that he arrived safely in his hostel by the grace of God!

We had two weeks to spend together and i tried to take good care of him meanwhile . We had sunlight in abundance in front yard so i took advantage of it and massaged his head regularly with mustard oil just like my late mom would do to us all during weekends or holidays . By doing so i feel to live dual life ,one the present as mom and one as daughter who revisit moment of warmth and love .

Thanks again for bearing with me and leaving most kind words always ! Your words give me power to share more ,

Our sun went behind fog week ago and no sign until now .if you find him please ask him to visit us soon as missing him terribly :(

Sharing one new (up most) and some old flower pics that i have not shared before most probably .Few images of hand work by the daughters of my sister in law (hubby's sister) i really loved it and it reminded me how girls of my village were brilliant at this as well except me lol. Was hardly interested in any girl kind of thing and that would annoy mom lot .Hope she forgave me for not being perfect in things that were Must for all other girls back then . But still she loved me thankfully.

three photos taken in Jinnah Park Islamabad (this and 7th and 8th)

despite i eat them i still love them to have around ,it's comforting to look at and to peal them ,weird ?

aging of this plant looks more appealing because of the density of leaf probably

sorry blurred ,captured by my younger son when he visited village two years back with us ,here he was with his cousin and it was very windy

few years ago in home town ,passing through the fields with cousins i found this tree where many nest of birds were hanging ,not good shot i know sorry

waiting for the spring ,it is from last year

longing for time when sun is out .from last year

smiles of nature encourage us to be kind and generous because life is short

                                                                   needle work of nieces

everything eventually display the pattern of universe with center in it's core ,in our core consciousness lives desperate to evolve all the time

do they look like love birds ?,impressive i believe

again a pattern with intense family system just like universe and family theme existing everywhere ,i am amazed how Creator has installed wisdom in humans that they create his words even when they draw without considering Him

summer blooms give feel of summer warmth ,our temps have dropped from 20 to 6 and such cold weather happened after few years so it feels cold specially during eve and morn times

Gorgeous bloom hm ! i am getting late for dinner so i have to say good bye friends!
Take great care , will be visiting soon inshallah

may God keep showering his grace upon you all always!!!

  6. That embroidery is beautiful, such detail - especially the last picture of the red on white - it is indeed a wonder that pattern is in everything we see in Nature and that we have this inbuilt ability to know and create pattern ourselves. Sorry your son has had to go home, I know you will be keeping busy so you don't have moments feeling sad. I am sure you can embroider, Baili, you are such a modest lady - I would love to see you paint some flowers as well, I think you would be a creative person if you had a paintbrush in your hand. 1. I loved your descrdescription of patterns in nature dear Betty. Nature has installed all kinds of abilities , arts and skills within us no doubt .This is spiritual side of us and the more it is ALIVE the better we display our choice of expression.
Oh this is utterly generous of you to say this that I can draw some day and well. Will you believe I hated my writing as much in school that I was afraid of painting. I would draw without much involvement. My drawing marks were average.
But in deep corner of my heart I wished i could draw well.
May be I will soon .waiting for days with more free time.

Just like I had no interest in needle work though climbing on trees and picking fruits or cutting down branches for house use was more appealing

  14. Dear Baili,

It's always heartwarming to read about the special moments you share with your family, like the time spent with your son. Your practice of massaging his head with mustard oil, drawing from your own childhood memories with your mother, beautifully illustrates the continuity of love and care across generations. It's a lovely way to honor your late mother's traditions while creating new memories with your son.

I'm glad to hear your son arrived safely at his hostel. It's always a mix of emotions when loved ones leave, but the bond and memories you've created during those two weeks will surely stay with both of you.

Your mention of the sun hiding behind the fog adds a poetic touch to your post, reflecting the temporary absence of warmth and light in your life. But just as the sun eventually breaks through the fog, these moments of separation and longing are part of the natural ebb and flow of life.

The photographs of flowers you've shared must be a beautiful reminder of the vibrant life and growth around us, and the handiwork by your sister-in-law's daughters is a testament to the creativity and skills passed down through generations. It's wonderful that you appreciate their talents even though you had different interests growing up. Your mother's love for you, irrespective of your differing interests, is a heartening reminder that parental love transcends expectations and conventions.

Thank you for sharing these snippets of your life with us. Your stories are a reminder to cherish family bonds, embrace our unique paths, and find beauty in both the simple and grand moments of life. Keep sharing your experiences; they bring warmth and relatability to our community.

Take care, my friend. And THANK YOU for your kind comments on my blog.
    John

I always have felt strong connection with sun and it's light and the warmth he showers upon world. Don't it seems so nice and most generous thing how sun provides reason to live everything existing on planet earth :)
I love looking at sun with thankful smile for his kindness.
I loved you narrative how Sun's hide and appear game is manifestation of the flow of life!
Flow of life sounds most authentic definition for what we are passing through.
So true that old traditions travel from generation to generation and show the consistency of ancient wisdom and beauty of certain values that define us as society with rich culture.
Heartfelt Thanks for makingme feel that my words have some goodness that can touch others heart.
Best wishes for you and loved ones !

  20. Baili, it is never too late to catch up on blog reading and commenting as we all have so many other thing going on in our lives. For example, you were able to spend time with your son before he left and it was good to read that he arrived safely at the hostel. I too was wondering about the tradition of massaging mustard oil on his head, so thank you for explaining about how this brought back memories of your mother doing the same for her children and how it connected you to her as a daughter and mother yourself.

Your flowers were lovely to see and it won't be until many months that any are in bloom here. It is winter here in New England. This week we had the first significant snowfall in nearly 2 years and the ground is covered in white, which is still beautiful.

    1. thanks dear Dorothy for sharing your lovely thoughts . i agree that life is super busy now a days than before when activities were less before internet ,social media and yes the traveling as well :) it is amazing how you find chance often to explore different sates and share interesting knowledge and images :)
there are some days when i find myself more indulged in memories of my parents and time when we were together .to be honest i want to revisit them in case the more of them i can bring back ,i don't know if it sounds weird or so but this is how i feel .there are times when i am just doing mu house chore and memories related to that particular chore open up in my mind and i feel so happy . i wonder what life can be without memories because they are which make life to us right ?
just like you my eldest son feels dull in dim weather of London sometimes . he finds winters hard because no sunshine there meanwhile . he could not come home because he has to do few important job and this makes him feel bit sad and us as well .
i hope you sun shows up soon my friend :)
we have found sun after many days today and it was divine to look at sunset glow on sky

  23. its always a little hard when a kid leaves to go back to wherever they live or go to school at. What a nice tradition - the head massage. Never heard of that so very sweet to read about it. love the garden photos and wow, beautiful handicraft work - gorgeous. Hope you find the sun. We had just a bit of snow but only left with icy roads and some sun tomorrow before another bit of snow arrives in awhile. I'm with you bring on the sun.

  24. precious friend Sandy thanks for visiting and leaving kind comment ! always great to hear from you my friend!
oh this is strange that you are not familiar with head massage tradition at all ,i believe honestly that it must have been existed in your part of land though long ago .saying this because i have observed that so many smart traditions came to our land from your part of land though can't be sure about this one particularly .here even in good dramas mothers are shown to massage their child's head even if he is older or sisters lining up doing same to each other :) one thing i am sure it happens where much money has not polluted the basic human emotions yet
oh sun is my love ! when he is out of sight ,feels some important thing is missing from life :(
it was great to have sun back after more than a week today ,walk in yard under glorious shiny sky was full of joy today i am grateful to God for this opportunity!

  27. I'll bet that your son loved the attention and care you gave him, Baili. There is nothing like the hands of your mother for comfort. Hands linking generations! I remember my mother's hands and how they soothed and comforted me. How I wish I could feel them now! I love the photo of the bird nests in the tree and the gorgeous scenery beyond. I would love to walk in that field, especially with you, my friend! The needlework of your nieces is beautiful, especially the love birds. Happy weekend to you!
