What Makes This Possible ?

It's 1pm . Weather is little breezy and cold ,14centigrade .Sun has managed to peak through fog finally which was covering him completely in the morning. I find such occurrence magical sometimes, when sun appears behind the thick layers of fog or clouds it seems wisdom has enlightened the the heart of hearth suddenly. As line spoken in movies " you just opened my eyes" Sun and wisdom do the same to our outer and inner world .

I was reading Red's post in which he mentioned current temperature in his area that was minus 42 . I felt cold shiver in my bones because i am sure i won't survive such extreme cold because o grew up between aired(desert on one side) and tropical Sea on other side )types of climate .

I know after Antarctica some Russian parts are coldest places on earth ,specially Russian towns with minus 60 c almost . But finding that some blogger friends also live in such tough weather conditions reminds me how curious i had been (some years back) about how and why people choose to stay on places where weather is utterly unbearable ???

That question was raised in my mind first when i watched a drama on national tv channel in which story was about people who live in desert where weather is extremely hot and life resources are non almost .

Before that i had a story in mind that i had heard from my all time favorite Ahsan uncle who himself was from desert village . I won't go in details but story was from famous Urdu literature and told that how a girl living in desert town prefers to marry a guy who managed water storage in his house instead to her lover who had no resources to provide her this luxury . I was 17 hardy but that story never vanished from my memory slate.

I wanted to share my curiosity with you all that if some of you at least like to share what makes it happen to live in extreme weather conditions .Is this just love of nativity or something else ???

Health peace and happiness to you and to all you love  kind friends ❤

  1. I think some people stay where they are, or where their ancestors were, because it is difficult to move. An old friend told me how his parents moved and learned a new language and customs in a faraway land (America) because they wanted their sons to grow up there. Imagine, as adults, a new language in a place where everything is different.

    1. i agree dear Sandi ,this thing you mentioned here is what made me ask this question .because i saw how difficult is the life for those who choose to stay on places with extreme weather but they don't move anywhere else .sounds strange but may it's there better health ,or their preferences that make them decide so , probably they feel happier if stay closer to place where their ancestors lived and that connection is stronger enough to keep them there .
i see people feel safer when in their native parts ,safer in means of that they think living their can save their traditions and beliefs and which they want to transfer to their next generations .many of us less care about this and want to join the flow of world so can grow wiser with broader mindset and better living conditions .it's not wealth that all are after it's growth many seek for knowingly or unknowingly .
i respect all with various decisions because they have reasons that matter for them most and this is great i believe

  2. It has been extreme this January in the heartland with snow and windchills, but living in upstate NY for a time, December was quite nice with snow and sledding and such, but come January we would have weeks of way below zero temps that could take a toll on you. My eyes would get bloodshot from the heat we had that would dryout the apartment. Honestly, I didn't know what it was. But I just stayed inside. Now with this latest storm we've had and more to come this week, I have had to clear the driveway and steps and that isn't easy..it can certainly make you old fast.

    1. Sorry dear Ellie that you are feeling disturbed because of constant cold weather in Heartland . i can relate as our summers are of seven to nine months here and extremely hot too so getting along with such long tough weather makes us feel sick and low sometimes .what i miss most is getting out because due to scorching heat and terrible sweats all the time all we want is to stay still under fan and don't want to do anything at all because of heat . so many things remain pending because of hot weather that makes life miserable .
i want you to think about moving where weather is tolerable so you can feel better my friend :)

  3. Interesting story from your uncle. Life takes us on our own paths, it determines where we end up living.

i agree that it is not just weather though it can be a bigger factor ,but also many other things that make people think about moving or staying

  4. It would take me a while to get used to your climate and find the best way to live there. We have many Asian and African people here and they get used to things very quickly. They learn the best ways to live here.

    1. so true dear Red that many people adjust quick and well when move to unfamiliar and extreme weather and so many who cannot . I also think that our tolerance relies on our health conditions and mine remained bad most of my life . as far as i know my recent health condition is little improved and has better ability to face challenging weather than before but i hope it is not just my assumption but reality ,let me check how my health respond to the coming summer this year .
i know that so many Asians including Pakistanis lives in colder parts of lands like Canada and Norway, Germany and many other countries. this feels surprising yet very good because culture exchange where adds great deal to our knowledge about everything but also bring close to others and this can surly lead to day when the glob will be considered home for all as equal and one nation .Nature loves harmony most

  5. Western Canada is extremely cold this year. People deal with the few months of cold for the weather the remainder of the year. It is not as cold in the east of the country.

    1. dear Marie an year back i watched a Turkish drama in which a very wealthy man threatens his silly and irresponsible daughter with line
" watch out or i will send you Canada" each time i would listen i wonder whether it is for bad or good ,bad because of extreme weather and good because if it was for the sake of study or so .
unlike that i saw a Pakistani drama in which the family of central roll (girl) applies for the migration to Canada and moves out leaving her behind ,no specific purpose was mentioned though as couple was middle aged.
I often hear or read people move to Canada ,even my son mentioned many times that moving Canada is easier because the Government wants people to inhabit there .
what i feel on the bases of all i observe or read that weather is quite challenging there

    1. this is a good luck dear Joe .but it also can make one trouble when one has to visit and stay in place with extreme weather because our body does not know how to survive .but on positive note which matter more that living in place where climate is friendly one does not have to sweat like hell (like here ) or freeze like very cold states

  7. I enjoy the changing seasons here. We get extremely hot, extremely cold. and all temperatures between. I will admit that the extremes are not favorite but I like snow and rain. I like to see flowers bloom. I like the ripening of fruit. I like the colors of leaves before they fall from the trees. I even like to look at the bare trees. Each time of year has its own wonder to give me. That is why I choose to live where I do.

  8. As you know, Baili, from my earlier blog posts, we lived in VA for nearly 12 years and one of the reasons we decided to relocate was because the summers were too hot and humid. We are natives of NJ where summers would also have hot weather, but not as consistently. We have found New England weather to be more to our liking.

    1. thanks dear Dorothy .i tried to find out which states stand for VA and NJ and hope i found correct .
seems like you wanted to live in area where weather is suitable for your well being , as Margaret mentioned and i agree (observations) that many people can survive extreme weathers but some can not so decide to change the place . i belong to quite cooler place ,Northern Pakistan and our village is situated in foothills of Himalaya so temps in summers would hardly drop till 30 plus to 35 or 38 sometimes . But here in southern Pakistan 's province Sindh where we have Thal desert close by temps are extremely hot and reach above 50 sometimes. I found it terrible at early years but adjusted later . but since i am getting old i feel that summers are becoming unbearable here so we want to move somewhere in my native town ,i can't say it will be possible or not but if so it will be because of climate mostly

  10. Down here the weather seems to always the same, one or two years it's hotter then the next few years are cooler, same for the other seasons. I wouldn't live anywhere else, I was born on this Island and walked the land, it's home and always will be.
Some people do not like the cold at all, others don't like the heat or get tired of it and more to a cooler climate, some go for work to earn more money, others do it for adventure and find they like the climate, some people adjust quickly, other don't so return from whence they came.

  11. heartfelt thanks for kind and such nice answer to y question dear Margaret ,your reply is quite helpful as you mentioned almost all types of people who decide to move or stay with various reasons they have .
i fully agree and understand well that there are any facts that play basic roll on people's perceptions and make them whether they want to live in same area or move somewhere else . your word adventure reminded me people i see so fondly online who live in their RVs and like to spend life in exploring world through travle enjoy living a nomadic life style :)thanks for sharing thoughts ,they always enhance my poor knowledge about world !

  14. Há pessoas que vivem realmente em condições climáticas extremas. Felizmente por aqui apesar dos dias em que faz frio e chuva o tempo é bastante ameno.
    Gostei de a ler.
    Uma boa semana.

  15. I think people are accustomed to the environment they are born. On my recent trip to Malta the weather for me was very hot, slightly hotter than the best of our summers. Yet one of the locals we spent a day touring with felt that it was cold and he was wearing a sweatshirt whilst we were in thin clothing.

  16. Climates and temperatures, endlessly fascinating topics. I grew up accustomed to very cold temperatures, especially when we lived in the north, and they really didn't bother me. Now that I'm older, I find them harder to handle. I quite happily followed Terry to Hawaii ~ lol!. But really hot weather, especially with humidity, I couldn't handle at all. I don't know how you do it, Baili! But then, you're accustomed to it. That said, given time, I think any of us can adjust to a new climate environment, as long as it isn't too extreme in either direction. Some would say that the young woman in your uncle's story was being practical. That isn't necessarily a bad thing. How many women in history have chosen practicality over romance? If we're lucky, like me, we get both! Wishing you comfortable temperatures, my dear friend!

    1. I think i can agree on that we can adopt climate changes unless they are beyond our tolerance.
I have realised that if can adopt extremely hot weather of southern Pakistan Sindh May be I too can bear low temperatures to 1c but can't be sure what will happen if drops below zero because I have no experience of it.
Being poet from east love for me is subjective experience completely and don't find it following rules of material world. But this is my personal opinion totally and I will still understand and respect women who be cpractical in life because from their view point that is best for them absolutely.
Hope Hawaii experience is full of lovely weather and exciting explorations 😍
