Hello Dear Friends!
Hope and pray that you are enjoying your days with grace and beauty :)
Winter seems in still mode her now a days .Temps are dropping till 8 C and high to 25 .Days are getting longer slowly . I get up 6;30 am as kids leave for school almost 7;45 am .
My whole day goes busy with various house chores though after lunch (from 3pm to 4 pm) i find sometime hardly an hour for myself and it is up to me then how to use this time .
But at this certain time i feel my energy levels drop so
quickly when sun moves towards west for setting .
Sunset time is almost 5:45 pm now days and after it darkness falls upon views so soon.
And then it starts the next round of business which is preparing dinner and supervising youngest son for studies . Dinner get eaten at around 9 or sometimes 9:30 .After that we watch t.v and go to sleep at almost 10 45 or 11 pm.
Last day when while watching t.v i complained that i am not finding time for blogging now days as when i am in my alert and energetic mode light goes off for 2 hours from 10am to 12am and after that when light comes back i get busy with other house chores .
Hubby said "you can do this in the afternoon " i replied
" in afternoon i feel my wings are getting heavier "
Yes this is true when i getup in morning my energy feels low .after 11 am i feel as sun is going high and bright in the sky my body is gaining WINGS!
I feel energetic and ready to do any thing specially my mind and imagination get boost!
A month ago i was happy with the schedule of load shedding (electricity disappearance) .After morning meditation (recitation) i was free for blogging ,reading or any other hobby.
But now i am little upset due to new schedule as light goes off and i cannot access my internet device and when light is back my wings feel heavy to take flight and do anything which takes mantle effort rather than physical .
So what i do ? i just fall on sofa and watch one of my fav drama shows which i have in my external device but during this my head keeps me make feel guilty that i should work instead of staring at screen but i feel helpless and lazy .
DO YOU ALSO FEEL THAT YOUR ENERGIES ARE HIGH AT CERTAIN TIMES OF A DAY???
DO YOU FEEL YOUR ENERGY RISE AND FALL ALONG WITH SUN???
Once again we are having construction in the upper side of the house . Hubby wants to use the roof of the house as upper story where two rooms are being build and the whole roof will be closed with walls of 5 feet high so we can use it as yard if we want specially in summer evenings .
Leaving you with two quick pics of this construction taken by younger son
From our front yard the room under construction looks like this this is half done work
yhis one taken by me day before yesterday
hubby is watering the brick walls so they can absorb the cement easily (it was friday yesterday and labour took off )
This one took while ago in kitchen when prepared carrot juice ,we take it daily in season one hour before lunch , i wash carrot with slightly warm water and slightly peel if needed
do you like carrot juice too ? me and hubby love it !
Take great care sweeties ,you know you have power to knock off the all negativity brought by the cold winters as in summers my wings never feel tired throughout the day :)
God bless you all!!!
Oh I do find myself slowing down at certain times of day, our days are much darker than yours and I understand what you mean completely! The construction is really coming along on your home it looks great,, such a beautiful court yard you have, that carrot juice looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteYes dear Laurie as i am getting old I can realize that at certain times of day my energy level drops and I think i need to work on this with some nap thing.
DeleteThank you for kind likening I am happy either for this alteration
I'm always more energetic in the mornings. Sometimes I need a nap by suppertime.
ReplyDeleteAgreed deR Debra
DeleteYes I listen from lucky people who take naps that they have rechareching power
I lead busy life. Sometimes I am too busy. Sometimes I do not get enough sleep. It is difficult to summon up energy as a result. Blogging does indeed take energy!
ReplyDeleteWe are also in the grip of winter here in New York. I wish that spring would come soon.
Your carrots are a brighter color then what is available here. I wonder if they taste differently.
I think your day goes busier than mine Brain
DeleteYes blogging is time and mental energy consuming hobby
My energy is in the morning. Like you things can get busy when I want blogging time! Can you imagine people who go out to work, even less time!
ReplyDeleteIn summer I have almost whole day energetic usually dear Christine but in winter it seems to follow sun.
DeleteYes I did job for sometime and found it hard to get time for blogging
Dear Baili, yes, I feel weary by around 5:45 when sunset is coming on. And it does get dark very quickly these days as the clouds cover and block the reflecting waning sunlight in the west. I have seasonal mountain views and get to watch the sun go down behind the mountains. I painted this scene the second year we moved to this house as it was a brilliant sunset that day in winter. I pray you feel more energized as the days get longer and Spring comes around to show us her beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteJust like you either from afternoon to early evening times are slow for me dear Carol
DeleteThis is lovely that you moved to place from where you can see beautiful sunsets I bet they give boost to your artistic skills
I am usually tired from 9am till 2 am, then I go to sleep.
ReplyDeleteHaha what a short time when you feel low and how exciting that after this you fell sleep Joe !
DeleteYou are so funny!
I am much older than you are so I understand about energy levels rising and falling. You are doing the exact right thing in the morning by relaxing. It helps renew your energy. A short nap in the morning and one in the afternoon will make a world of difference in how you feel.
ReplyDeleteI agree dear Emma that as we get older our energy levels drop more often.
DeleteI think you are absolutely right I should think seriously about takings nap in afternoon it probably bring back my energy but for this first I have to put sign of "don't disturb "Please
About 2:30 pm I get very tired and usually fall asleep in my recliner for about an hour, Cindy tells me this is when I am recharging my batteries.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why even in the age of 48 I am not able to take good nap during my day Jimmy
DeleteCindy is right as after nap she can see how energetic you are
I love the morning hours. I get up as early as 5 AM some days. I enjoy the quiet in the home and I really like that it's still dark. I find that time peaceful, meditative. My worse period is between 1 to 3 PM. I feel very sluggish around that time. I have never had carrot juice! I imagine it is delicious.
ReplyDeleteYes dear Martha carrot juice is really nice and healthy drink with lots of benefits for eyesight either
DeleteThough winter is soup time but because our winter is not as extreme so we take juice of seasonal fruits to stay refresh
From 10 to 12 in the morning is quite an inconvenient time for the electricity to be shut off - and that is most people's most productive and energetic time of day. I do find certain times of the day I have more or less energy, for sure.
ReplyDeleteCarrot juice sounds like a very healthy drink! And it's exciting to build a new space on your home where you can relax. Will it be cooler there in the summer, too? (being at a higher elevation)
Thank you dear Jenny
DeleteTotally agree with your words that from 10 to 12 am is most productive time whether physically or mentally.
Yes our aim to build upper portion is to get cooler environment specially in summer nights when electr8goes off after midni8and airconditioning doesn't work .due to wide and higher it will be cooler hopefully
Hello baili. I too am a morning person. I like to get everything done in the morning and keep my afternoons for peace and quiet.
ReplyDeletethis is quite nice dear ausiroo that you arrange your day so wisely , my summer mornings start also with boost of energy which runs throughout the day at same level but in winters my morning starts little slow head
DeleteI don't seems to get tired during the day and I expect that is why when my head hits the pillow at night I falls asleep immediately - usually :)
ReplyDeleteCarrot juice, never have had but my late mother did sometimes.
many years ago i used to have problem with my sleeping time as i put head on pillow and my mind got lost somewhere else but thank God this is just past now
Deletenow i almost rule over my head (hope so :)) specially in sleeping time i slip with immediate intention of sleeping
Australia has hot summers i think and your grandma was wise to have carrot juice
hope someday you will like to try it too my friend!
yes, I have same feelings.
ReplyDeleteNice looking juice!
Everyone feels that energy has its peaks during the day, baili.
ReplyDeleteThat's why we should get a lot of sleep and rest at night.
The body is more relaxed, the mind is more open to rest and recovering energy.
Carrot juice?
I prefer lemon.
Carrot soup is one of my favourites.
Juice, not so much.
Have a great week!
My energy is always higher in the mornings! I love carrot juice! Lots of construction going on!! Hope it all goes well! Big Hugs!
ReplyDeleteyes I also feel energetic in the morning hours...
ReplyDeleteEu também gosto muito das manhãs. Tenho mais energia. Também gosto muito de sumo de cenoura.. Há muito tempo que não bebo. Fez bem lembrar.
ReplyDeleteUma boa semana.
Um beijo.
This was an interesting post in so many different ways, Baili. First, I was surprised when you said that dinner time was around 9 p.m. as this seems very late and then younposted that bedtime was not intil perhaps 12a.m. We have been trying to complete our dinner hour by 7 pm or sometimes earlier as we have read so many articles that eating late is not good for digestion. Also, we have been trying to adjust bed times to 10pm or 11pm since many studies have suggested that 7 or more hours of sleep nightly is best. That said, I sometimes feel more tired in late afternoon, but morning hours are most productive if I have gotten enough sleep hours the night before. My husband does believe in afternoon naps and often will take one and can wake up after just 1 hour or so. I rarely take a nap as then it will keep me from sleeping at night. As for carrot juice, I have eaten carrots cooked and raw but never made juice and our carrots have been orange, so I liked the fed color of the ones you showed.
ReplyDeleteThank you dear friend for your kind response to my post !
DeleteI completely agree with points you raised here ,actually our summer dinners are at 8pm to 8 :30 but in winters we are late for dinner which is unhealthy habit though but I confess it is my fault as kids take snacks at almost 7pm so they don't feel hungry until at least 9pm .
My both son's tuition times in winter are from 5 pm to 8 and sometimes 8:30 so this is also a reason for late dinner
Dear Baili, there's a new book out called "When." It has a subtitle and I think the author's last name is Pink. Anyway, it's a study of when we can count on the best time to sleep, nap, work, study, etc.
ReplyDeleteI do find that certain hours are best for me is I want to get something creative done.
I know your home will be just what you want when all the building is completed, but I would find myself discombobulated by the clutter! Peace.
Thank you dear Dee for useful sharing
DeleteI wish I could take nap in afternoon as if I take one it upsets my sleeping in night time.
My energy drops in winters more than summers which effects my routine little bit.
Dear Baili, I didn't use to nap but now that the years have piled up and I'm much older, I find that a nap actually helps me sleep at night. A nap + a walk! Peace.
DeleteWow, Baili, your carrots have a beautiful colour! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you will manage to find free moments and energy at the same time. I guess for many of us 10 am to 12 am would indeed be the most productive hours of the day.
Hugs and blessings!
Thank you dear Sara!
DeleteYour eyes have beauty as your soul does ,glad you found the juice colour appealing my friend!
I agree that these time you mentioned are usually most useful times when it comes to use mental energy specially
Oi querida belo blog bjs
ReplyDeleteI love your enclosed garden! Looks very serene and peaceful.
ReplyDeleteIt may just be my screen, but the carrots and the juice look red, like watermelon or even raspberries. Are they red? I have only ever seen orange. Could be a different type?
Thank you dear Sandi!
DeleteThis time of the year my garden looks different than it looks now days because of work going on and stuff pouring over the tiny plants has ruined it right now. Still hopping for blooms as work is about to finish now may be one week more
Yes our carrot juice is red like carrot itself
My goodness, I've never seen carrots that lovely and bright color. They are beautiful! Sometimes the body finds ways to tell us to rest when we may not want to, and I think that's how we can stay healthy and get enough rest. I'm a morning person, so from 5:30am to 3:30pm, I'm full of energy and get a lot done. Then I usually take a nap, so I'm ready to go until about 11pm or so. I've adjusted my dinner times too to help me out. You're always so positive and friendly, and wishing you plenty of time to rest and relax when you can. Hugs...RO
ReplyDeleteHi Baili :) Firstly, yes I LOVE carrot juice, thank you for reminding me I need to be juicing daily again. In the winter, I forget about it because it's so hard to get good fresh veggies and fruits here. But carrots with some spinach and celery and apple will do the job! :) Your juice looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteI find that my schedule goes along with the time of year and the weather. On bright sunny days, I seem to naturally wake up when the sun is rising. In the winter, it's later and in the spring and summer I'm up around 5:30am or 6am. I have my most energy before about 3pm and I get so much done when I get up early. I think that's part of my winter problem. When the sun only rises around 7am, I have a silly mindset that I've already wasted my day because I'm getting up too late lol...after dinner, I'm like a lump...I just want to relax and watch a movie then drift to sleep!
Dear Rain you are so sweet and generous my friend!
DeleteLoved the word you used here "winter problem"
Yes that is what i was trying to say here that lack of energy seems like huge winter problem and mind feel so dull and sleepy all the time specially when sun is not around
I enjoyed your post and looking at those carrots wow such color. Sounds great what your husband is doing to the house and I enjoyed the pics - should be a great area! As for energy levels - I have never been able to nap during the day because I always feel I'm missing something. My energy peaks usually after noon and when my kids were little I would stay up until midnight or 1:00 catching up on chores while they slept but now since they are grown - i don't have a lot I have to do so my energy is at its' peak during the afternoon and then i take it easy the rest of the day with things I love to do and I always have energy for that.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you totally here dear Sandy that since always when during day time i lay down specially in long summery afternoon I feel as i am missing something beautiful part of my life.
DeleteAnd now when i try nap it lessens my night sleep which us disturbing
I am not very good first thing in the morning, I need some time to gather my thoughts to be able to think properly.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first winter at home (not a work) and I have found the short days and the darkness of the days in general have made me feel lethargic. As the nights are drawing out and getting lighter I seem to be gaining more energy.
We are feeling alike dear Cherie!
DeleteThough days sunny here still my morning starts slow until sun rise high in the sky .
Due to chores and boredom of construction work my energy get low in afternoon but can't take nap as they spoil my night sleep.
After 7 pm I feel better but have to go to bed early to get up early as kids need my help
Aww Shabana, it was such fun to see all your photos. I'm sorry that your electricity goes off during the time when you have free time.
ReplyDeleteDear Nasreen being from here we are still suffering with lacks of some basic facilities
DeleteI'm sorry to hear that your energy level is low, Baili. It seems that I have more energy in the mornings, and then around two or three o'clock, I start to need a nap. Maybe that will help you too. Your carrots look very different than ours here. Ours are orange, and these look red, how interesting. Yes, I like carrots, and they always seem to give me more energy when I eat them.
ReplyDeleteIt is our Valentine's Day here, Baili, so I'm sending you love from my little corner of the world. : )
~Sheri
As I am getting old (46th year starts) I realise that in winters my mornings start with quite low energy. Around 11 I start feeling active. Then late afternoon are lazy and dull again .unfortunately can't take nap as they spoil my night sleep.
DeleteGlad that you liked my juice. Yes our carrots are red
Just call me the Energizer Bunny, Baili! I wake up full of energy and go, go go. I would love to be able to nap, but I can only do so if I am really sick. My energy lags some in the late afternoon, but I nearly always have something that captures my interest and perks me up, like doing a jigsaw puzzle while listening to a favorite soap opera on tv. Right now I am trying to go to bed earlier, because I can go to the wee hours of the morning and that is not healthy. Your carrot juice looks delicious!
