Happy Christmas Preparations ! and A Visit To River Indus Park

Hello  dear  friends !


Hope   and  pray    that   all   of  you   are   feeling   the   excitement   of   season   and   are   busy   in   preparation   for  Christma   the  most   enthusiastic  event   of  the   year  which   pour   life   in   dull   routines   of   usual   days :)


According  to  news   weather   is  being   disturbing   in   some   part  of  lands  specially  in  united states of america .   

Still  there  is   much   liveliness  and  excitement  seems   to  roam  about   due  to  coming  holiday   and  Christmas . Everybody    seems   to   enjoy   all  the  enthusiasm  and  fun  related  to  festival .

Through   the  blogging   world  has   squeezed  for  me  ,i  can   feel  the  almost   same   sense  of  happiness  inside  me :)
as  i  am  truly  enjoying  the  knowing   about   fellow   dear   people   who   just   like   us   celebrate   their   festival  with   all   the   traditional    style   by   buying   gifts  for   loved  ones  ,making   festive  meals   and  being   together !


All  what  we  do  here  on  our  festival   like  Eid ! We   all     create   reasons   for   our  joys   and   pleasures   and   we   all    celebrate   them   with   same  positive   and   optimistic  perspective  that   "life   is   beautiful   against  all  odds" 

What   i   LOVE   most   about   Christmas   is

 " giving  gifts  to   loved   ones "

this   is  very   beautiful   part  of  the  event   when   everybody   seems  to  

"think  about   others  rather  than  just  himself"

This  makes   this  wonderful   Christmas  more  special .

Each   hearts  feel   for  other  heart  ,thinks  for  his  likes  and  dislikes  try   to  buy   or  prepare  gift  according  to  the  likening  of  his  loved  ones . Whole  process  takes  long   period   of  time   and  this  is  what  matters  most  that   we   take  time  to  think  about   others .

Either   we   here  on  our  yearly  festival  Eid  give  each   other  gifts  but  they   are  mostly   sweets  and  chocolates  packets  or  cash  which  called  Eidi.

But   buying  goodies  or  making  gifts  with  hands  is  not  in  here  and  i  want  to  start  this  lovely   tradition  here  in  my  family  too hope  you  won't  mind :) i  think  learning  is  good?

Now  sharing   some  pics  from  our  recent  visit  to   the  park  situated  beside  the  river  Indus ,  and  than  next  day  to  city  hospital    for  the  checkup (story  next  time).

   Last  sunday  when  i  came  out  in  front  yard  the  whole  tree  was  beaded  with  crows  ,they  flew  when  i  tried  to  capture  the  interesting  view

we  decided  to  visit  the  park  45  minutes  drive  away  from  our small city  khairpur

  Hubby  did  not  wore  his  fav  black  jacket  as  he  thought  if  it  rained ,it  will  spoil his jacket (annoying!)  we  saw   a  large  family  was  getting  in  boat  for  riding 

     due  to  freezing  northern  weather  river  had  less   water  ,barrage door  were  closed ,view  was  serene 

  medicines  effect  can be seen  in slight swelling  on  face  and  little  dizziness  as  hubby  was  asking  me  to  stay  away  from  water  as  he  doesn't  know  swimming  lol  

  we  were  early  as  park  get  crowded  from  evening ,instead  of  busy  sides  where  rides  were  we  sat  for  while  near   water 

               wind  was  cold  so  i  wore  sweater  and  shaal , quick  shot  by  younger  son

      found  this  spot  appealing !  stood  for  quite  a  while       

The  man  in  boat  asked  us  to  take  ride  but  we  did  not  though  i  wanted  to  send  him  some  money  but  hubby  said  he  could  mind  as  he  is  peasant not  bagger 

our  northern  areas  having  heavy  snow  and  quetta  which  is  in  southern  part  of  country  though  and  not  much  far  from  our  city  is  bearing  minus  10 c.

Temperature  in  our  city  drops  to  3  or  4  and  rise till 21 or  less  so  WE  ARE  HAVING  STRONG  WINTERS  .

Aggressive's Hunger strike final part

I  admit  that   i   beat  many  boys  of  my  village   when  i  was  about  to  enter   in  my  early   teens.   

My   anger   for  them  was   due  to  not  only  they   misbehaved   on   certain  times  but   as   whole   i  felt  bothered  from  them  .They   seemed   huge   threat   and   pressure   to   my   freedom   as  equal   human   being .

It   was   totally  unbearable   that   being  girl   i  was   feeling  helpless   and  confined .That   time   i  could  not  judge  my  reactions   but  when   i  think   now  i   find   my  whole   behaviour  dominated  by   this   particular   stress   which   i   released   time   to  time  whenever  someone  gave  me   opportunity .

My  all   mad   hobbies  (running, hiting  in  sack filled  with  grain and  developing  my  focusing  skills  )  are  proof  that   i  was  unconsciously   preparing  myself  for   any   kind  of  oppression ( remember i  was  just  a girl less than 12)

I   mentioned   already   that   i  was  close  to  my  parents  specially  to  mom  more  than  a normal   kid.  If  you  remember   i posted  once  about  removing  a huge  rock here with  constant  effort and  fell ill  later  due  to  much  hard work  just  to  make  my  mom  happy.

My   childhood  is   filled  with   such   events  when   i  tried   to  give  mom  pleasant  surprises   and   made her  happy with  my  little  steps .

In  our   village   the  honour   of  family   is  greatly   related  to   the   female   of   house ,and  then   25  years  before  it  was  even  serious  and  important    thing   to  have  girls   which   have  STRONG   and  CLEAN  character  .

There  was  one  slight  mistake   and  honour  of  the  family   was  ruined . Mom  was   proud   that   i   was   following  her   directions  and   for  this  she  loved   me  more  as  she  mentioned  this  more  often  when   return   from  any  ceremony  or  even   or  someone  came  to  visit  and  praised   her  daughter  who  is  going   school  and  still  has  no   flaw   to  rise   finger  upon .

 Once   when  i  was   in  grade  six  (almost  14  years)  on  the  way   to  school  i  found   an  envelope   with   written  my  name   on    "for  dear   Shabana"   I  immediately   picked  it  up  and  put  in  my  school  bag . In   school  i  did  not  show  it   to  my   friends   unlike  other  girls  who  get  excited  with  such   attempts   of  flirting   boys.

I  gave  this  envelope   to  my  parents   when  came  back  .My  father   read  it  front   of  me  and  mom .It   was  from  some  boy   who   wrote  that  he  sees  me  everyday  and  wanted  to  be  friend . Father  got  angry   and  asked  "do  you   know  him  ?"  who  is  he "?

I  told  i  knew   nothing  about  him .My   mother  supported  me  and  said  if  she  knew  she  would  have  not  given  this  to  us .  But   question   of  my  father  made  me  angry  .I  could   not   bear  that   i  was  being  questioned   because  the  mistake  of  that   cheap  boy . I  was  crying   and  did  not  eat   anything   in  lunch  .Mom  thought   i  will  be  fine   but  she  could  not  get   the  glimpse  of   springing   fire  within  me  which  was  trying  to   burst   out   like   a  volcano  .  It   took    many  hours    to  my  mom  to  make  me  eat  something  . I  ate    dinner   with  mom  late  night .This   was  my  first   hunger  strike  !

After   that   in  coming  years   many   times   when   i  got  angry   on  anything   i  stopped  taking   meals  .Secretly  somehow    i  was  obsessed  with  extra  attention  of  mom  that  i  get  when  i  left   eating .  Yes   this   is  selfish   but   i  than  did  not  realize  that   what   i  was   doing . 

Time   passed   and  i  got   married( i  was  almost 20)  but   this   habit   stayed   with   me.  Departing  from  mom  was  first hardest   part   of  my  life  .Marriage  was  almost   arranged  or  one  sided  love  of  my  husband  (than)  i  was  not  ready  to  leave   mom  alone  ,wanted  to  do  job  ,live  with  her  for  whole  life  and  support   her  as  her  son  was  not  faithful  and  obedient  and  her  longing  for  the  peace  that  a  mother   seeks  in  the   caring    of  his  son   was   huge  pain   of  my  life . I  wanted  to  prove  that  i  am  her  son .But  could  not . 

It  made   me  more  angry  . Early  years  of  our  marriage   are   blended   with  my aggression  which  took  place   when  my  in  laws   specially  mother  in  law  became  cruel  to  me .

Fighting  with    hubby  and  leaving   eating  was  my  way   to  deal   with  situations .  Now   if  i   love   my  life   partner ,this  is  not  because   he  loved  me  at   first   sight  (never  got  impressed  with such  things in real life  though i  am  romantic  in my deep  corner of heart)   but  i  respect   him  and    love  him  because   he    tolerated  my   aggression   and  stayed   patient  .may  be  this  was  his  love  for  me.

 (  though  i  was  told  by  my  very  own  loved  one (blood relation)  that  no  one  can  love  me ever  because  i  have  so  much  anger in  me)  Her  words  still   echo  in  my  inner  world . 

 Though   hubby  tried   to  pamper   me  to  an  extent  but  he seemed    fedup    with  my  "hunger  strikes  . Once   when   i  was  fasting  in  Ramadan   (no food or water  for  almost 17 hours)  at   the  time  when  i  was  about  to   open  my  fast     got  upset   on    his  leaving  with   friends  at  same  time  .

Instead   of  opening  the   fast (eating something)   i  remained   hungry  when  he   got  back  he  asked  did  i  took  my  meal  proper  ?  i  said  yes  . I   stayed   hungry   for  the  whole  night  and  then  until  next  whole  day .i  did  not  let  him  know  that   i  did  not   eat  something  somehow .

when  he  got  back  from  office (afternoon) he  found  me  almost  insane  .my  BP  dropped  to  dangerous  level  .He  took  me  to  the  doctor  who   admitted  and   glucose  drip was  injected .

 The  side  effects  of  that   two  days  hunger   last   for   months  as   i  was  already   anemic  and  patient  of  low  blood  pressure .  

He   tried   to   convince  me constantly   that   i  should    leave   this  bad  habit  of   punishing  my self  for  others  mistakes .

 long   story  short   THAT   WAS MY  LAST  HUNGER  STRIKE :)

Some  day   i  will   share   that   when   did  i  realize    that   either   i  love  my   husband !

Now   when  i  am   about  to   enter  my  48th  year   i  feel   so  bad  about  my  previou  aggressive  behaviours  but   still  i  think  that   could  i  have    to  be   little  more  patient  and  calm   if  i  was   not  as  angry   with   male  domination  around  me ?

 Now   i   know   that   anger   is  expression  of  helplessness ,  it  is  act   of   weak,  who   get   angry   when   he   feel   stuck   and  find  the  screaming  and   fighting   only  option  he  can  choose  .

A   wise   and  confident    person   knows   the   reasons  behind    acts   of  others  ,  he   knows   his   capacity   ,and   he  enjoys  his   command   over   the  situations .

He   be   wise   artist   who   turn   his  anger   into   his  STRENGTH  and   POWER.  

Which   he   use   with delicacy    and    brilliance , when   it   is   needed .

Aggressive's Hunger Strike

  We   all   are   students  ,attending   class  of   LIFE !

 Time   is    teacher    and   Nature   is  book   though   we   take   this   book   as   granted   as  we   found    it  without  any  cost   or   effort .

Mostly   we   learn   from   self   invented   books   and   these   are   our   experiences   and   observations . Each   of  us  learn   different   from   same   experience   for   instance   ,if    squirrels    eat   or   spoil   all     fruits  in     garden   ,

Some  will   try   to   teach   lesson   the  creature   

Some   will   take   extra   cautions  to  prevent   their   fruits  as  putting  fence   around  the  plants  etc

Some   fool   like   me   will   think   "let   them  eat   ,they   have   right  to  eat    as  they   can't   buy    them  from  market (i know  this  sounds   beyond  stupid ,but that's me )

You  are  right  i  am  poor  student  ,i   love   to   live   happily   ever  after  in  "fool's  heaven"   

My   self  invented   book   reveals  "Life   is   TOOOOOOO   SHORT   to   act   smart   or   be  clever    as   i  never   found   any   clever  WITH   PEACE   OF   MIND!

Why   we   do   work   ,earn ,  snatch  JUST   SO   WE   CAN  BE   HAPPY  END   OF   THE   DAY  ,right?

So   what   is   the  use  of   all   we   gather,   if   we   don't   have  peace   of   mind  which   comes  from    within  not   from   outside.

I   was   favourite   child  of  my   parents .They   had   little   but  little   was  material  .Love   was  in  abundance .Our   home  was   filled  ,you   can   say   dominated   by  this  LOVE   which   specially   my  Mother   had  for   her  children .

My   younger   sister   was  six   year   younger   than  me   very   pretty , smart    and    naughty  .She   was   loved   by  parents   though   but  she  was  often  punished   for  her   mischievousness .

I   was   very   simple  (you  guess  well, i  was  FOOL) .May  be  my  simplicity   compelled     my  parents    to   love   me  more .

They   always  adored  me  and  pampered  me . This   made   me  more  dependent    and  lazy. (not  physically but   mentally)   

I  was  shy  ,reserved   but  aggressive  against  opposite   gender  specially . (mom's  teachings  you know)

I  still   remember   when  i  was  in  grade  3 i  was  walking  on  barren  hill   toward   school   along  my   sister ,  when  few   boys   who  were  also  going  to  their  school  as  they  were  in  uniforms   passed  remark    " hey  beautiful  where  you  going ?

Within   seconds  without   thinking  much   i  bowed   down  picked  up  a  stone  huge  as  cricket  ball   and   throw  at  him  , while   saying  " going  to  call  your  sister  who  is  with  my   brother  "  he  leaned  at  side   quickly   and  missed   it .

He  looked   at  me  with  mixed   feeling   anger   and   slight  fear   as  may   be   he  was   not   expecting   such   extreme   reaction. When   they   ,when  i  moved   further   i  heard  the  giggles  of   other  who  were    making  fun  of  the  one  whom  i  tried  to  hit .

In  my   village  when  i  was  allowed  to  play  outside  before  my  early teens  i  beat  boys  many   time. who   tried  to   tease  me . I  was  the  only   girl   in   village   who  was  as  aggressive   with  boys .

Once   a  boy  who  made   my  younger  sister   cry ,i  beat   him  hard  , His   mother   later  came  to  our  house  and   showed  my  mother   that   "see  how  badly  your  daughter  beat   my   son  ,she   injured   him  with  her  nails " 

My   mother  knew   that   i   won't   beat  without  reason  because   i  was  not  the  one  who  starts   fight  so   she  warned  me  front  of  woman  little  only..

Will  you  believe   that   when   last   time  in  2015  i  visited  my  native   village  the  same   boy   asked  his   wife   to   invite   me  on  evening  tea.  i  was  not  aware  that   she  is  wife  of  that   certain  boy .  when   i  went   there  and  had  tea  with  her  and  her  daughter  before  leaving  her  home   she  asked  me  " Baji (means big  sister) do  you  remember  Abid?"  

It  took  time  to  remember  as  Abid (real name)  was  not  from  close  family  and  when  he  came  to  my  thoughts  i  am  sure  my  face  displayed  annoying  .The  wife   of  Abid  smiled  politely  and  asked  "if  you  allow  then  Abid  wants  to  come  to  see  you "

After   some  hesitation   i  said  okay  and  then  Abid  with   humble  smile  entered   the  lounge  ,he  did  not  sit  (men  out  of  family  don't interact  with  women,remember)  He  even  did  not  see  straight  in  my  eyes  until  i  replayed  his  greetings  .

He  was  not  same   spoiled   boy  who   used  to  draw  our  mud  homes  or  harass  us  with   silly  tricks . He   was  looking  like  a  modest  gentle  man  with  decent  smile  and  respect  in  eyes.

He  said " Baji  ,i  just  wanted   to  see  you  as  you  changed  my  life  and  attitude "  This  was  weird  moment  still  i  felt  my  eyes  teary . he  said  to  his  wife "Baji  was  very  brave  and  different ,she  never  tolerated  accusation  from  boys  and  taught   us  good  lesson" though  his  words  were  kind  yet  i  was  feeling  embarrassed 

I  hardly  spoke  few  words  about  his  occupation   and  family  and  left.   Until  today  when  his  words  echoed  in  my  head  i  feel  little  awkward.

Here It  is  11:27 am with  20 C.  Cold   and  windy  . Little  cloudy  but  absolutely  Gorgeous  day!


I  am   fine  as  with  reduced  dose   of  medicine  i  am  feeling  quite  better.

Felling  much  better   since  my  eldest   son;s  money  transfer  problem   is  solved  and  finally  his  blocked   money  is  transferred  into  his  new  account   in  Munich  Germany .

This  transferring  process took  more  than  two  months  which  seemed  long  as  century  as  after  month  the  amount  of  money  that  my  son  took  along  as  cash  was  finished   and  we  were   so  worried  about  his   daily  expenses   .

Thank  God  that   his an  old  friend  who  already  lives there  for the same  studies  since  one  year,   helped  him  whole  month  from  his  own  pocket   money  that  bank  gives him as  student  . 

Yes  it  is  self  finance  though   education  is  free .My  son  also  collected  huge  amount  of money  from  his  previous  job   for  his  masters  in  Germany .

 Hopefully  his  account  will  activate  in  Munich  from  Tuesday  and  he  will  be  getting  his  own   money  in  monthly  instalments  for  next  two  years .


Last   Day  when  my  son  called  he  told  that  it  is  snowing   in   the  Munich ,He  sent  some  pics  for  me  from  the  area  where  he  lives ,hope  you  will  enjoy  the  peek .

 He  got  down  from  4th  floor  to  give  me  glimpse  of  his  snowy  eve!

    After  spending  whole day  in  university ,he  said  it  was  pleasant  experience  to  look  at   the  showering   smooth  snowflakes !
