Hello Sweet Hearts!
hope beating positively on the rhythm of life despite haphazard circumstances of life .
Dear friends even though i tried to keep visiting you all meanwhile i still missed sharing my heart with you via my post. Actually things went little upsetting in first three weeks for me ,first the health issue and regular visits to hospital ,then ...okay this part is not just painful but quite embarrassing for me :( As some of you know probably that taking medication makes brain slow . This was the reason for what happened and believe me it's not an excuse because i know how my mind would have acted otherwise . One day after the breakfast around 12 pm when news on tv ended and hubby put some talk show that we used to watch together since long time .Basically an interview show in which celebrities belong to different fields interviewed by well known and published poet and writer Wasi Shaah. As we had planned outing later in evening i went to another room instead and start ironing my dress . Before that i put my ipad on charging in switchboard in the wall close to the floor . I have just started when hubby asked me to bring the iron table in tv lounge so we can watch show together . I brough the iron table and placed right beside the sofa and plugged the iron in the switch board exactly where my ipad was below ,and it completely slipped from my hazy mind . Anyway my hands were ironing but mind was consumed by the story the guest was telling . At some point lost in emotions iron fell down right on my ipad :(((
yes it really happened and i was responsible ! The hard safety cover protected ipad from breaking into pieces but it's panel broke inside and showed vertical lines . I was shocked ,heartbroken and i hated myself for sometime not because i have lost my ipad but i felt failed to keep gift from my precious son safe !
Right next day to this accident hubby bought me Lenovo thinkpad ,maybe he thought that accident can make me sad for long time!
i was happy to have laptop (longtime dream to have personal) but it could not erase the grief for gift from my son honestly! We showed ipad and they shopman said it can be fixed but eldest son said that it won't be original and that he will take it back and replace it with original panel.
Meanwhile we visited local parks and malls .
i am sharing some photos from those cheerful moment we spent together .hope you will enjoy them dear friends .
weather is hot but far less than one we left behind ,it rained few times. Monsoon seems late as rains are less than expected until now .
F 9 park in islamabad , elder son took this shot when we completed our walk 8,000 step total ,this stunning baradari (name of this structure) looked more majestic and mystic after sunset ,hills passing behind quietly look so serene and beautiful ,we enjoyed this view for while as breeze was so nice and cozy Damn e koh (lap of hills) is hill top station 2400 feet high from the gorgeous city of Islamabad provide panoramic and rewarding view of the city ,sons standing close to the entrance and when i asked them to pose the said okay now we will reach to the viewing point after dark as mom has started to take photos
taken in Rwal Lake View park ,while walking along with huge crowed towards the lake i found this wooden railing fascinating and we took some images there
weather was cloudy and we were little early like around 4:30 pm still place was packed ,it the terrace area where people find there place and take pics with water and family and friends ,we just scrolled around ,my favorite is spending time beside water and i did it for sometime :)
younger son had some commitment regarding some project so we spent less time there than we usually do
after the walking track ( 300 to 500 meters ) we enter in another main gate where we see many visitors riding this train which drops them close to the terrace area , i saw it becomes very handy for people with little children and senior people who find walking bit hard .
damn e koh (lap of hill) has three widespread terrace areas where people enjoy the city view below and take photos , it was perfect day because rain has stopped and air was slightly chilly Faisal Mosque captured by elder son with his apple phone looks magnificent ! he took many shots actually but i could scroll as it's time consuming job
seeing people taking break from the life 's never ending business and enjoying nature and togetherness makes me feel happy . it feels nice that people are being aware of the importance of such healthy activities . it wasn't the case some years back .but change is slow but positive thankfully!
that is it for now precious friends!
i will be visiting you all time to time hopefully!
stay positive and strong ,health ,peace and happiness to you all and to all you love!
It is always strange how accidents happen at home. I'm so glad your husband could find something for you. I hope you are all doing well. Very hot and muggy here in the states. We have been lucky to have some rain...although, we are a little short of where our rainfall should be and out in the west part has been horrible dry with grass fires. Hopefully, July will bring more relief to Nebraska, but not this week. 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗So lovely, to see your awesome photos. They do make me smile. You have such a beautiful family. Thank you so much. All the best to your health and creativity! 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛
ReplyDeletedear friend Ellie it's lovely to hear from you
Deleteyes accident happens and we just wonder how and what went wrong and how we could be as absent minded :(
yes it was very uplifting to see hubby buying me laptop immediately because hubby is very calm in taking decisions and takes time , sort things out and figures out if he is doing the right thing . it was first time he bought something without long time planning . and i knew because he wanted me to feel good and less sad ! God bless him!
sorry for your area having less rain than expected , same here sadly , we are getting clouds but it rains hardly .let's see if it changes in future .
yes July and August are super muggy and hot months here too but as i said the heat we encounter here is ten to twelve points less we left behind .
wishing you some cool weather and lots of rains!
Thank you for the tour. How beautiful your family is, too. Don't feel bad about it iPad -- we've all done things like that at some point, and no people were hurt.
ReplyDeletedear Boud thank you so much for your generous words !
Deletefamily is always precious indeed ! and i am really grateful to have elder son for more than two months honestly ,it is such a relief for a mother's starving heart !
i agree that we all go through such rough and sudden situations and i am thankful to dear God that it was not worst than that !
What a shame that your ipad got damaged, but it's nice that your thoughtful son will have it repaired for you.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your computer!
ReplyDeletethanks dear Christine
DeleteMy dear friend. Please don't be so hard on yourself. First, I know how precious gifts from our sons are. They mean so much to us. But also know that accidents happen. It is not your fault that this has happened. It is something that "just" happened. I know that your dear husband and son do not feel that it is something for you to torture yourself with blame. The prof is that your dear husband brought home a new laptop the very next day. He knew how hurt you were. So please do what you tell others to do and go on with your life with no regrets. You are such a beautiful soul and it should not be burdened with an accident. Your photos are so beautiful. You have such a loving and lovely family.
ReplyDeletedear friend Nichole !
ReplyDeletethank you for your heartwarming comment ! it means lot to me believe me !
as i said it wasn't the ipad i was grieving for but as this happened i felt so embarrassed ,this embarrassment was so overwhelming and traumatic that i lack words to describe it . my mind went towards my eldest son and i thought o my God what he think of his mother that she can be such dumb and careless to let such thing happen .i remember first words came out of my mouth were "please everyone don't tell this to Ahsan"(eldest son's name) but as time passed and my senses were calm i felt normal but it took two to three days when i was mentally prepared to tell this to my eldest son finally. he reacted so normally as he was relaxed to see that his father has bought me new laptop (just one year used officially) 11th generation Lenovo think pad . and rest was easy .
hubby has been amazing whenever i felt low or did something stupid like this . His wisdom and kindness is beyond words honestly!
you are such a sweet and loving lady dear Nichole as your words brought my heart healing and peace !!! God bless you and loved ones!
The accident with your iPad sounds like something I would do. I have killed two computers, maimed several others, and had two hard drives fail. And that is only computers. If left to my own devices I can damage almost anything.
ReplyDeleteo dear Emma i hope you are not saying this to make me feel better :)
Deletethe wisdom and smartness i see in your posts make me believe you are such a wonderful and very responsible person! and i think you are being too humble :)
actually it has been very rare in my life that i broke something ,as you have assumed that i am very emotional person and breaking anything even because of my carelessness is not my thing at all ,honestly i can't remember breaking something except few cups or glasses in my whole life , my emotional attachment to everything is so strong that sometimes i be mocked by people around lol
i received two laptops used by my sons and both died naturally and i felt grave sadness because holding them close had another meaning as well that they belonged to my sons
I wish I was only trying to make you feel better. I am not a graceful person. I am also careless and do not pay attention. I am happy if my clumsiness gave you ease though.
Deletedear Emma you are such an honest and generous :)
DeleteWe get mad at ourselves when we let something slip and it's broken.
ReplyDeleteso true dear Red ,at that moment first thought comes in my mind if i can reverse the moment
Deleteso good to see your name!! It has been awhile. Your boys are now men! such lovely photos of your family are wonderful. We all have done such things like the tablet meeting its end.
ReplyDeletedear Susan thanks for dropping by ,it lovely to hear from you !
Deleteo yes it's impossible to we all have not done something like this in entire life specially by mistake :) love!
Dear Baili, you have a beautiful family. I am sorry about your computer issues.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a lovely person. Please 🙏 don't be hard on yourself. You are loved by many, including myself. ❤️
dear Linda ! your words are touching and warm my heart !
ReplyDeletei believe you have such a loving heart my friend !
accident happens and we learn from them indeed
thankfully i am feel much better now dear Linda :) God bless you my friend!
Oh my dear Baili, your ipad oh dear me, but you know we all have accidents but I also understand and remember how happy you were when your son gave you that ipad. Your husband is kind buying you a Lenova to continue on with.
ReplyDeleteAll the photos are indeed lovely to see and you and your husband and sons - so lovely.
Take care.
sweet friend Margaret !
Deleteyour generosity is uplifting!
yes i was more than happy because of not only the laptop but because my eldest son thought of me that i don't have anything to do my writings and that i need something to do so !
he lives abroad and it's so easy to drift away from people you left behind even if they are your parents as world is running swiftly and everything seems to be blurred ,but he thought of me and i will never forget this as mom !
to be honest Hubby is my true friend and never leaves me alone when i feel low or alone whether mentally physically ,i feel so blessed to have family who cares !
thanks for liking photos and you too take care dear friend!
Oh no, please do not be so hard on yourself about the iPad! Medication fog is completely real, and accidents happen to the best of us, especially when we get absorbed in a compelling interview. Your son gifted it to you out of pure love, and knowing how much you cared about it is the real gift, plus, it is wonderful that the panel can be replaced with an original one soon. That new Lenovo ThinkPad sounds like a fantastic silver lining from your sweet husband to help lift your spirits. Your photos of Islamabad are absolutely breathtaking; the Faisal Mosque looks so majestic, and that sunset view of the baradari at F-9 park after your 8,000 steps looks incredibly peaceful. Seeing everyone out enjoying the fresh air and chilly mountain breeze at Daman-e-Koh is such a beautiful reminder of how important it is to pause and connect with the people we love.
ReplyDeletedear friend Melody !
Deletethanks for heartfelt comment . yes so true that medication affect is big reality and being a almost regular user of medication i understand it well , i claim that meditation makes this affect more grave and since your senses become more self aware they magnify this affect to you . i have been meditating since fourteen years and i can say that medicine make mind hazy specially those for histamine ,as two tablets i was given were for histamine .
yes being ipad a gift meant more to me and i did not want my eldest son to know i broke his gift :( not because he will be upset or angry he not that kind of person ! but i did not want him to think his mom could keep his gift with love and care ! he just smiled politely and said ,it will be replaced don't worry :)
hubby is an angle honestly ,standing by me and understanding me more than i do ,Gpd bless him!
his gift is priceless because of the timing is everything :)
Islamabad is has such serene and beautiful place to visit and enjoy with loved ones and that makes it more special indeed and unlike other big cities .
i feel happy dear Melody you liked the highlights of our trips :)
I am clumsy too Baili, I frequently 'switch off' and forget where I am and what I am doing, I also drop things a lot. You aren't unusual! So lovely that your hubby has sorted this out with a solution. Im sure your son will not be disappointed in you.
ReplyDeletedear Betty glad to hear from you
Deleteactually medicines has made my mind fogy these days as i am taking since three weeks almost and few of them are for histamine .
i feel so lucky and grateful for having loving family ,hubby has been one of the greatest miracle in my life :)
Oh dear! But accidents do happen!
ReplyDeleteI did enjoy seeing the photographs you've shared lovely views and happy family pictures, so nice to see your smiling faces.
Take care, sending good wishes across the miles.
All the best Jan
thanks for comforting words dear Jan !
Deletehow nice my simple shots could bring you some joy to you :)
time when we get together are most beautiful time of my life !!!!
sending love and heartfelt best wishes
Dear Baili, I have been wondering about your health since your last post so I hope that everything is going fine. I'm very sorry you had an accident with your iPad. I know I would react like you did because it's a shock and it's also a precious gift. But it all worked out in the end. Your loving husband was so thoughtful in buying you a Lenovo pad to replace. Now that is a caring husband. All of your family members are so thoughtful and I'm happy to see you are all together in Islamabad and enjoying your time there.
ReplyDeletedear friend Joyful your concern about my health melts my heart with gratitude and joy ! how fortunate of me that you keep me in your beautiful mind and think about my health !
Deleteindeed you are precious soul and have heart of gold my dear friend!
i was given date for the endoscopy which is 13th of July and hope results will help my doctor to understand what is the root cause of my issue i faced that night three week ago and if it has link to my chronical stomach problem (ulcer)
glad that you understood the feeling i went through right after that mishap. yes it worked thankfully and things settled in positive manner eventually . honestly hubby is such an incredible person ,father and life partner that i want to admire him always and i do actually because it's hard for me to keep things in my heart . he is true blessing for his family indeed!
thanks for your uplifting and kind words ! they mean lot to me believe me !
sending love and prayers!
Dear Baili, your other blogger friends have said it so well, accidents happen. Most certainly, there is no one who has not had something get damaged or worse yet been in an accident. I know you were more heartbroken because the iPad was a gift from your son more than it being damaged. And, your sadness was recognized and acknowledged by your husband replacing it with a new laptop, which was so wonderful and truly loving of him. And then when you shared the incident with you son, he too understood your distress as well. You are so fortunate to have such a caring and understanding family. All the photos of your adventures were lovely to see and thanks for sharing them, my friend.
ReplyDeletedear Dorothy ,so true that we all face such mishaps time to time and it's part of life .
ReplyDeleteyes ipad was gift and it made me nervous first ,secondly embarrassed ,and thirdly sad and shocked . but as time passed and reaction from my family was so warm and affectionate my heart got back to feel normal .
undoubtedly no other treasure on earth can replace a caring family to me dear Dorothy and thankfully i knew this from the very beginning of my life :) i am deeply grateful for this understanding of life life God has blessed me since little age !!!
how nice you enjoyed glimpse of our visits dear friend :)
love and hugs
Too bad about your ipad. But how nice that you have your family with you to help.

ReplyDeleteabsolutely correct dear Pedro
Deletelife which we take granted mostly is priceless gift that allow us to experience various highs and lows ,bright and dark aspects . experiences that shape us to evolve and grow into better
Yes, Baili, accidents happen all the time. I'm sorry that your iPad was damaged. All your sons are the best, and I'm sure Ahsan will understand. Meanwhile life goes on. I tell myself this everyday. 😂 I enjoy seeing all your photos, especially the ones of you and Ali! Please look after yourself, my friend. It would have been much worse if you burned yourself with the iron!!! Much love to you and your family! ❤️❤️
ReplyDeletedear Louise ! warmth of your kindness is overwhelming ! thank you so much for uplifting words .
Deleteyes life goes on no matter what , life is beautiful gift but undoubtedly loaded with challenges that keep testing us throughout the journey . when i feel overwhelmed by crushing emotions ,i too try to compose myself with such words .it's so intense !

DeleteSpeaking of accidents, I just wrote a longish comment about accidents happening to those that DO things... and then I lost it. 😄 Now I must dash, it's time for my mom's dinner.
ReplyDeleteStay well, dear Baili! Big hugs!
oh sorry dear Sara your comment just vanished ,it happens to me eighter and often actually so i learned my lesson and i now copy my comment before hitting publish button .
ReplyDeleteyou are such a sweet daughter :) big hugs
Dear Friend Baili,
ReplyDeletePlease be gentle with yourself. An accident is only a moment, and it cannot diminish the love behind your son’s precious gift. Your husband’s thoughtful kindness and your son’s promise to restore the iPad show how lovingly you are surrounded. 💕
After the difficult days, it was heartwarming to see you walking beneath cloudy skies, resting beside the water, and admiring the beautiful baradari glowing mysteriously after sunset. May those peaceful hills, cool breezes and cheerful family moments continue to heal your heart.
Wishing you renewed health, happiness and many brighter days ahead. 🙏😊
John

yes living in Islamabad is like living a beautiful dream and we are enjoying our time here . last month has started and we have to go back to our home in hot area at the end of this August and it's making me sad already even if i love my home there but weather is so unbearable now at this part of the age :(
