Jahangir Park Visit, A Walk Through Bahria Town And Salute To A Pakistani Tourist Guide In UAE!

Hello Sweet People!

Hope sharing your sweetness with everyone around and making your surroundings a beautiful place for this world!

Our weather is getting hotter quickly which is expected with the start of the May . I don’t know I should be grateful or not for the recent snowfall, hail storms and heavy rains in most parts of the country which bring some relief to our southern region for few days. Such weather here is unlikely in this period of time except light rains in northern part until monsoon season arrives. Climate change is causing damage to people and places not prepared for such intensity of the weather. When roof or house collapse and people get injured or die it takes away the sense of joy delivered by better and less hot days

Hubby and me are following news regularly since the war started, we are hoping for both countries will continue to prefer to be on table for peace talks instead of fighting in the battlefield which brings only destruction to humanity and leaves scars that stay for decades.

I feel encouraged how common people want to live in peace with each other. Even their brains are being washed through media and social media still most of the people stay aware of the fact that war is not the way to bring peace. It’s against law of attraction and anything that opposes nature’s laws causes suffering and chaos only.

I wish there was a way for common people to choose between war and peace instead few people in power, because they can think only for themselves . I hope in  far future things will change for the better 🤞

Thank you dear friends for your support and love and heartfelt comments on my previous post! I was missing my lush hilly village and our hilltop home which would provide a brief overview of valley! And this poem was created through nostalgia to relive the past 🥰

In the news sometimes there is a tiny news like a bloom among thorns that lightens up the spirit. Today it was about a Pakistani man who rescued a lady suffering from heart attack during climbing the high stare case  Ras Ul Khaimah stairLink here in UAE . He walked three hours on narrow exposed terrain to reach nearest emergency center while carrying that Filipino woman on  his back !  This melts my heart with utter delight and gratitude, not only because the man belongs to our country Pakistan but to realise that no matter how much darkness is there, light still finds its way to brighten our souls with faith in goodness 🥹🙏 . I  think not just Pakistani people but whole humanity feels proud of what Faisal Shamani did 👍🥹♥️

Today sharing few photos of our trip to Karachi in January dear friends. One day when eldest son was busy with office work, hubby and me along with both of our younger sons visited a huge park  situated in the centre of the city . Though it was disappointing to see that zoo of the park had lost most of its wildlife sadly due to lack of funding and careless management. Yet it was beautiful because of having old tree in abundance and long tranquil trails that add natural element when we enter the park .hope you will find them enjoyable because I loved strolling around.

A fresh environment welcomed us which was a pleasant surprise because outside the park life is crazy. Karachi is densely populated city eighteen million people, and it is called mini Pakistan because people from all corners come here for the sake of job opportunities.  It creates many challenges among which noise pollution is one thing. This gorgeous and lush park stands within the heart of the city and offers people lost in tough routine of life a relaxing environment to find a peace of mind and breathe in the nature for a while.

I saw this lovely sight before entering the park life, in Karachi flocks of pigeons can be seen on some places where people are too generous and drop these beautiful birds some foods, grains or seeds , the child on the left in the picture is with his father and I saw him spread handful of grains before pigeons, there were other signs that people left something to eat for the birds , I found it sweet and touching ♥️
We had come to the park after breakfast and it was quite early . Park had some people, families and children enjoying the calming breeze and soothing views. Like most of the big cities people start day late in Karachi so when we left we noticed that visitors have started to come in groups. I assume park might remain packed in evening time but small amount of people come and go during the day except weekends when it overflows.

Despite the zoo was closed wandering through serene pathways was lovely experience

For me biggest attraction was the old trees with wide thick trunks 🥹 I just loved looking at them and taking pictures,i wish there were signboards mentioning their age. Most of the trees seemed old and had special appeal throughout the widespread park. I wanted to explore more but park was huge and kids started to whine about being late to their other activities. It’s sad new generation is missing their regular contact and relationship with Nature ! Nature is main source for our mental and physical wellbeing and it scares me how quickly people are getting away from nature!

Walking through such places brings back memories of my hometown, hills ,stream, fields and gardens of  fruits, and I feel grateful that in my memories my village is still alive 🙏🥹

I loved the display of colourful umbrellas above, we see such stunning views in Murree hill station where rain is unpredictable and umbrellas can be needed anytime by the tourists, but here in Karachi where rain is not frequent event such exhibition is totally for the  aesthetic pleasure of visitors

This lone fountain not so far from the entrance was adding glory to the park’s beauty

Children playing on the play area sounded lovely like the chirping birds on the trees

This photo and all below are taken in the Bahria Town where we moved to have Gabi , one evening when we were returning to our residence after grocery,I spotted this pretty bird picking food from the grass , it was such happy surprise as I took many shots excitingly 🥰

Can you guess the name of this bird

One day hubby and me got golden chance to get along with our elder son (one studying in university) . Bahria town is huge model town , for some unknown reason larger part of this beautifully planned city is empty, we decided to take a walk through the streets, when we asked to elder son to join he agreed surprisingly, on the way I took many pictures to seize the moments spent in this beautiful calm frozen town.

We saw This gorgeous tree with stunning red leaves on the way through the town in many gardens. Hubby picked up one of its fruit fallen on ground and broke to find out , he then told its almond tree, it was my first time I saw almond tree. We use almonds but never knew how it looked like,it’s very beautiful ♥️

Few gardens were grown by colonies and only people belong to them were allowed to enjoy them

All city buildings had lines of various trees around them,it gives heart a joy to see nature peaking through jungle of cement ,I wish all towns were privileged with such luxury 🥹

Sometimes our son’s phone would chim with text and he would step away to respond, new generation needs to learn that it’s okay to stay still for a while ☺️

                                                                           Ah. gorgeous

Charming houses lined up in the both sides of the town when pass through private narrow roads

I asked son to walk ahead so I can take photo , my family get annoyed sometimes when I take lots of photos but only when place is so nice and worth it 🥰

Same request I made to hubby and his support is unconditional always which is greatly appreciated ♥️

Dear friends big thanks for being with me till the end 🙏♥️
Your support means lot to me!
I will take leave now . Please stay healthy and safe ,God Bless You all 🙏♥️

  1. This is a beautiful post. I agree why dose everyone have to be involved in war when it's the idiots in power that want to fight? On to your visit to the park. How lovely each photo is. The bird in the first photo is some sort of wood pecker. I love seeing your pretty face in the photos. The umbrellas are amazing. Very nice each one. Thank you for sharing and have a very nice day.

    1. Dear Nichole I so appreciate your first line about idiots being in power, this makes me wonder if wise people run after power ever in the human history?

Yes the beak of the bird tells that he is woodpecker though it’s body is larger than traditional ones I guess
I am happy you liked umbrellas ,I too liked them a lot ,they look so delightful 🥰
Blessings to you and Mr M🙏♥️

  5. Hi Baila, you have so many beautiful, scenic photos today. I love all of them because I'm a real nature lover. How wonderful that you found such a beautiful place in such a large city. Like you, I continue to pray for and hope for a peaceful resolution to the global tensions in the world. Thank you for sharing the story about the Pakistani man who went above and beyond to save the Filipina lady. He's a true hero.

    1. Dear friend Joyful , I feel with age love of nature in my heart is deepening 🥹
When I was sorting pictures for the post I went through nostalgic moments we had spent in those places and I decided to share them with my friends!
It makes me happy that this post brought some joy to your heart dear friend 🥰
Peace is basic requirement for human survival and thriving in every aspect of life. We all are hoping that politicians can realise this too and decide which is best for all 🤞

Like you dear friend I too believe that true heroes are those who can feel being in other’s shoes at the time of need and help others by going out of the way! This fulfills the purpose of their existence I believe!

I agree with you that the man who carried a stranger woman on back and walked through painful stairs for three hours was special, brave and honest person!

  7. A man carrying a stranger for hours to save her life says more about the human spirit than endless speeches ever could. Compassion still survives quietly in the world, often through ordinary people who simply choose courage and kindness in difficult moments.

I also enjoyed your reflections about Karachi. Many outsiders only imagine the crowds, traffic, and intensity of such a huge city, but your photos and words reveal another side — green spaces, old trees, families enjoying mornings together, birds being fed, and peaceful corners where people can breathe for a while. Large parks in crowded cities become almost like lungs for the community, especially in places where daily life can feel overwhelming.

Your love for nature shines throughout the post too. I could feel how much the old trees meant to you. Ancient trees have a calming presence that younger generations sometimes overlook because modern life moves so quickly. I agree with you that losing connection with nature affects both mental and emotional well-being. Even a simple walk among trees can quiet the mind in ways screens and busy schedules cannot.

The photos from Bahria Town were fascinating as well. There’s something almost surreal about beautifully planned places that remain unusually quiet. The wide streets, gardens, and lined trees create a peaceful atmosphere that contrasts sharply with the crowded energy of Karachi itself. And yes, the almond tree is beautiful. Many people eat almonds all their lives without ever seeing the actual tree or fruit.

I smiled too at your comments about your family getting slightly impatient while you take photos. Photographers and bloggers often become unofficial family historians whether relatives realize it or not. Years later, those ordinary walks and candid moments become priceless memories.

  8. Sweet friend Melody 🥰
Thank you for your such heartfelt and beautiful words 🙏
It really means lot to me that you read this whole post carefully and responded with detailed answers , it’s very generous of you 🥹

Your way of saying things is so lovely and touching!
Yes it’s true that whoever is running the show is highly talented to continue to keep balance between goodness and badness in this world.
Though media highlights negativity most of the times yet that divine power manages to show his people that there still are good people who are doing their part in making this world a better place! That exceptional man brings glory to his people and homeland by the grace of God🙏
And will stay in the memories of that Filipino lady forever and it’s really feels a great earning 🥹

Honestly Melody I didn’t notice that I was bringing forth a positive side of Karachi city which is mostly criticised by the people for its loud and exhausting lifestyle.
I want to thank you for noticing that and then sharing it with me ♥️
This is true that I am born with this positive mindset that my eyes always chase and discover brighter side hidden from many others and it has made my life light and peaceful throughout by the grace of God🙏
I believe that there are numerous sources talking about bad things happening in the world so I can stay on good side so souls of friends who visit can find peace and joy instead stress and anxiety including myself.

Dear Melody I believe that I am gifted with deep love for nature since childhood and for me it seems impossible to part away from nature, looking at sky and other natural phenomena brings me peace of mind and serenity of the soul. Trees are like mothers and friends, true loved ones who sacrifice in order to provide us so much. Old trees connect me to old times and I wonder how much they have witnessed and even sitting close to them quietly can make us hear the echo of those stories 🥹

I tried to find out why Bahria Town was left incomplete and empty, but no clue online why
That looks unique city like frozen in time with very small population spread thinly here and there and remain unnoticed until you visit some public place like shopping mall etc
I loved it’s silence and solitude because as an introvert and If it was in my hands I would have moved there in no time lol
Dear Melody,I will definitely show this comment of yours to my sons and hope they won’t mind me taking lots of pictures next time 😂
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your valuable thoughts dear friend 🙏♥️

    1. Dear friend Debbie, it’s nice to know that you enjoyed this walk, I can walk for hours in places like this, the only concern remains is time ,seems like we are getting poor when it is to have time for doing things we like
Actually because of the lack of funds and care there was a little portion of the park where few animals were kept but it was annoying to see for the visitors that the people managed this were asking for extra fees which no one was willing to pay as on the entrance visitors had to buy quite expensive tickets already.

Heartfelt prayers for you too 🙏♥️

  10. Faisal Shamani is certainly a hero. As far as wars I wish the leaders of countries could find another way to settle disagreements. If ordinary citizens tried to settle differences that wat we would be imprisoned. The umbrellas are colorful and made me feel calmer. Are you getting younger? Your picture is beautiful.

  11. Dear Emma, thanks for encouraging words ,good deeds must be appreciated so world can have more good people
What man did was exceptional job and only heroes are destined to do such things!
Your comment about common people settling differences is funny and worrisome at the same time, I can’t say about people settling differences but I imagine some system applicable in future in countries in which public vote matters in such decision making.maybe it can help to maintain peace in the world
Glad umbrellas made you feel good, I felt their presence was delightful and cozy
O seems like your heart is soo warm with love dear friend to say such a lovely words . The background is magical actually which makes it appear nice ☺️

  15. Such a thoughtful and grounded reflection 🌿✨ You’ve captured both the beauty and the concern in changing weather patterns in a very meaningful way. It’s so true how even brief moments of relief from extreme weather can feel comforting, yet also remind us of the bigger challenges behind it. A gentle reminder to stay kind, aware, and connected 💛

  18. The story about Faisal Shamani was inspiring and heartwarming, Baili. Thanks for sharing it. There are many ordinary people doing kind and compassionate things, sometimes extraordinary things. Usually we don't hear about them. When I get overwhelmed by the tragic things happening in the world, I try to remind myself of all the good people in the world.

Love the photo of you, Baili! The park in Karachi is lovely. I enjoyed all the peaceful scenes, especially the flowers and the big banyan trees. Well, maybe all those pigeons weren't peaceful! 😂 My family members grouse at me for taking so many photos. 😂 But I snap away. I did a google image search of your bird, and AI identified it as a Hoopoe. Is that right? It's especially striking when its head feathers are spread out.

I wish all the wars and suffering would end. I keep worrying that the world is going to get sucked into a world-wide conflagration. I appreciate how Pakistan continues to try to broker peace. So much is out of my control, but I can do pray for peace and for wisdom in our leaders around the globe every day.

I hope you, Ali, and sons have a great weekend! I wish you all the Creator's grace and blessings. ❤️🌺❤️
