Curious About Your Vitamins Consumption and blooms

Remember i mentioned i was taking homeopathic medicine for more than a month.i preferred it over allopathic medicine this time because i thought it will give my stomach a less tough time that has already survived from chroic ulcer. But when homeopathic course ended pain restarted without any delay shockingly.
And seemed worst this time. That was really surprising as during medication it seemed totally vanished. Anyway for unknown reason i got sore throat same week and it was that bad as drinking water felt hard task. We visited hroat doctor who said issue is more related to your stomach than throat. He added that i should eat healthy diet to get rid of anemia which is weakening immune system.I informed him that since i take much interest in improvement of my health i eat all the basics necessary things from yogurt to milk vegetables to little  mutton in a once a week fruits etc. He said then he is sure i am having deficiency of some vitamins then that help our food digest well and make blood in the body.
I asked him why any doctor never mention about vitamins deficiency to the patients .He replied because tests required for detection of vitamins deficiency are very expressive.
That was sad to learn that most of the patients suffer with deficiency of vitamins without knowing about it. He prescribed few vitamins among which was Omega 3 cord liver fish oil. We have started to take it regularly since a week almost.

Coincidentally we had  bought one bottle for our younger son last year.he finished it in three to four months i guess and mentioned that it made things lot better for him.
I was curious if some of you also taking any or many kinds of vitamins?
It will be helpful if you will share your experience such as what and how long  you been taking them and what was the before and after realization?

Few blooms smiling in the garden currently

Health peace and joy to you and family dear friends!

  1. Is your throat sore because you have acid reflux from your stomach? If that's what's causing it, you need medication to reduce your stomach acid. I imagine that might help an ulcer too?

I take fish oil pills because it is good for a healthy brain and I don't each much fish so pills are recommended. I also take Vitamin D because Canada has among the highest rates of multiple sclerosis in the world and Vitamin D helps prevent that.

    1. Thanks dear Debra for sharing your experience.
Hubby has reflux issue since he has survived from hepatitis. I don't have such problem. But my stomach ulcer seems like sleeping volcano waiting for slightest carelessness which i try hard to avoid.
I feel sad that i have been not recommended vitamins even i like so many others needed to add in my regular routine. Doctors fear telling patients because they think people will skip them for someone cheaper who prescribe afoardable medication. This is running so many precious lives unfortunately.
My throat is not sore .but occasionally it getd because of the seasoal change ot exposure to too much dust or mosquito spray close by .

    1. What is sad about taking healthy diet Emma that most of it's nutrition waste away due to lack of certain anzymes that our bodies don't produce but vitamins make them if we take them regularly.
That is what upset me lot .seems i am late to vitamins though I hope it can still do little good to me

  3. I do not take vitamins but I have excess stomach acid which is treated with a prescription medicine and by avoiding certain foods (tomatoes, oranges, grapefruits or any other acidic fruits; hot spices; peppermint; caffeine - tea and coffee; fatty or greasy foods; alcohol). So as you can tell, my diet is quite bland. White rice is comforting on an acidic stomach. My doctor said that milk can make the problem worse for some people but I always felt it was soothing for me. I hope you can find a way to be more comfortable; the sore stomach and throat is a horrible feeling.

  4. My throat healed within three days completely dear Jenny.
    Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
I am sorry that you can't eat many foods just like me. But it hurts more that tea and coffee are included in this skip list.
Hubby has lactose intolerance yet he doesn't skip because of thing you mentioned that it seems soothing. Same about me.unlike you my stomach lacks acid actually. Medicine could help so little so far in this case

    1. It seems strange that you have low stomach acid but you have an ulcer. Have you been tested for H Pylori (Helicobacter Pylori)? It is a bacteria that causes stomach ulcers. It is treated with antibiotics. I feel badly for you dealing with this. About tea and coffee - when I stopped drinking those, I started drinking plain hot water instead. I found it to be just as good as any previous hot drink and it seems to help with my digestion :)

    2. Thanks again for adding in my knowledge further my friend!
No i haven't been tested for the bacteria you mentioned here according to my knowledge nor any of doctor specially who treat my ulcer for three years had mentioned it. He only told that i my stomach has been bleeding for more than one and a half decade how you could not realise it.ultrasound revealed my stomach was on the edge of worst and irreparable mode.it was 17 years ago. Since then i am trying to learn more about how can i help it to stay calm and not make more mess at least. Living through great cautious diet and meditation yoga all that.
Through the doctor zee's video i guessed that my stomach lacks some important acid which help to digest food properly.
Now when you pointed out i will ask my doctor about this Hpylori bacteria thing and test as well.
This is amazing that one can feel good after skipping tea ir coffee completely. My consumption of tea has reduced from six or seven cups to two cups now but skipping it totally is task .i bet it must be more healthy without hot drinks Jenny

  6. You’ve been through quite a journey with your health and vitamins. It’s surprising how vitamin deficiencies can go unnoticed until they impact us significantly. Omega-3s and other vitamins can indeed make a difference in overall well-being. Wishing you a speedy recovery and a healthier week ahead! 🌿

  9. I take vitamin D since Canada doesn’t have the sunshine to provide the vitamin in abundance. I have taken Omega 3, such as cod liver oil for twenty years or more. I find it helps my mental acuity. I see a noticeable difference if I stop taking it.

  11. I have heard our soil is depleted in some ways due to modern farming practices and we do not get as much nutrition from food as we used to. I take a multivitamin and extra D3.

    My multivitamin contains:

A, C, D3, E, K, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Nacin, B6, folate, B12, Biotin, Pantothenic acid, calcium, iron, phosphorous, iodine, magnesium, zinc, selenium, copper, manganese, chromium, molybdenum, chloride, potassium, lutein

Wow. As I was typing that long list I had to pause and really wonder how they get all of that into a vitamin. Seems like a lot!

I feel fine. I think it is important to eat well even if our modern food is lacking in some ways.

I hope you figure it all out. 🌷

  12. Hi, Baili! I've been sitting here sipping coffee and enjoying catching up with your posts. I'm going to comment on them all here. How lovely that your brother-in-law and his wife were able to adopt a baby girl. I'm sure that she will be cherished and loved. The photos that your hubby took of flowers are exquisite. They're truly exceptional, and look like the work of a professional photographer. It's not hard to see how much Ali loves flowers. I've been keeping my fingers crossed for Ahsan and Gabbi. How sweet of her to greet you in Urdu! That shows that she really cares for your son. Love the photo of him with Gabbi and her parents ~ Thank you for sharing it. I had to laugh at you trying to fatten up your middle son. Moms are the same all over the world.

One thing I really admire about you, Baili, is that you are always looking for answers to challenges you are facing, like handling feeling dull and depressed and dealing with stomach issues. Like Jenny_O, I had a stomach ulcer. I was tested for H Pylori (Helicobacter Pylori) and had the bacteria. I was treated with antibiotics which quickly cleared up my ulcer. I was anemic a lot, because I was bleeding internally for more than one reason. It took ten years to track down all the causes for my bleeding, but we eventually took care of them all. Now I take one 65 mg tablet of ferrous sulfate iron a week as a precaution, and my anemia has not reoccurred. My primary care doctor has me taking Vitamin D and Calcium daily too. I think it's important to get nutrients from the food we eat, but sometimes we have to supplement our diet with doctor-recommended vitamins and minerals. As for you're feeling dull and depressed from being inactive, I so get it. If I don't stretch and workout, my mood plummets and I physically hurt. One of my mottos is "Life is Motion," so I believe in moving! I always do better when I take the time to care for myself physically. Don't forget balance. As we get older, our risk of falling increases because our balance is not as good. It never stops, Baili ~ lol! I'm resigned to having to workout the rest of my life and to eating green veggies that long as well. I'd rather sit on the couch and eat sweets, but that's a shortcut to the grave. Sorry this answer is so long. Love and hugs to you!

  13. Dear Louise imagining you sipping your coffee while resting on couch makes me feel more close to you :)
Thanks for taking time and reading posts and comment !
Hubby his brother who has adopted baby girl. He says new parents are pretty much happy with this gift and busy with all the joyful activities belong to little angel 😊
Really very sorry that you suffered same stomach issues that i had. I too was internally bleeding and despite visiting various doctors nobody could figure out until one did and by holding pulse only surprisingly. He told you are bleeding internally since more than 15 years. Ultrasound proved him right later. I am happy your ulcer has been cleared completely my friend!
Mine according to the doctor is too old and can spring up again if not be cautious.

  14. Good that you are taking tablet for stomach and vitamins as well.
I am taking balanced diet since five to seven years almost but according to the doctor my body is wasting more of what i eat unfortunately. I have decided to take certain vitamins regularly now .
Even though i keep try to keep check on my health issues yet things get out of hand most of the time actually.
Long term exercise and meditation has helped me lot in developing my focus and balance dear Louise. I am looking forward to future if i can walk again or do my light yoga steps .
I have had few fall in far past but not after i did my yoga and meditation regularly thankfully!
I agree that game of life is set so cleverly by Divine.
All tasteful things cause disease and all good healthy things are boring to eat or have in life :)
Thanks for sending good wishes for Ahsan and Gabbi!
Ot is very hard to explain that after previous bad experience how much prayful we are for our baba and his relationship
May God be kind and helpful to us amen!

  15. I'm so sorry Baili to hear that you are having such terrible issues with your knee. My question is what is causing your knee to constantly be inflamed? I would look at the possibility of what could be causing inflammatory responses in your body. If the underlying problem isn't addressed, supporting the symptoms won't change much. I would definitely take good quality vitamin D, and probiotics for your tummy. Praying that you can figure out what is causing your knee issues! Many blessings to you dear friend!

  16. Baili, to answer your question about vitamins, I take a multi-vitamin and cinnamon as well as magnesium. I was taking calcium but after a recent medical office visit was told this causes constipation and that calcium could better be obtained in foods. It was recommended to take a D vitamin, which I started recently. I will admit that some days I forget to take them but I do not "double up" the next day.

  17. So far I have not needed to take any vitamin suppliments. By I know friends that have been prescribed vitamins to solve a health issue, for example Vitamin D which is mostly gained from sunlight and not food. Sunlight can be a bit scarce in the UK.
