I am reading a book since more than a month and i am intentionally reading it slow because i found it very nice and i don't want it to end quickly .To support my intention i have started to read another book "God" by Reza Aslan and i am enjoying it too .
Do you feel something like this whether it's a book ,movie or show or anything else that you wanted to enjoy it's beauty more and for this you take slower pace with it ?
i would love to hear your such experience dear friends
health peace joy to all of you!
Baili - yes I know what you mean. Enjoying a good book and savoring the precious time to really lose yourself within the pages is such a blessing. I hope you are having a wonderful day. Thank you so much for your lovely visit to my post. Your stopping by means so much. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteah such reading i had in past dear Debbie when i would be totally consumed by the beauty and depth of a book but now it is different and i have to read it in pieces and quick but i hope in future i will have same old luxury :)
DeleteGlad to know all is well with you, Baili.
ReplyDeletethank you dear Marie you are in my thoughts and prayers as well always
DeleteIt is good to savor some books.
ReplyDeleteHow is Reza Aslan's book?
His book is seems nice at the beginning dear Sandi ,i am enjoying learning how Reza explains the human understanding of God
DeleteI need to read a book quickly the first time. Then I can read it again to capture points I may have missed the first time. If it is really good I will read it many times over.
ReplyDeletesounds like my favorite pattern of reading dear Emma but honestly it was my pattern once ,many years back when i was single ,now i have to finish my read for the first and pick next but i know i will reread many of them in future hopefully
DeleteIt isn't easy for some of us to read slow. It's great that you can. Yes, there are dramas and books that I wish wouldn't end. Therefore, I don't finish them, sometimes.
ReplyDeletei try to finish every book fast with limit which does not effect my comprehension negatively dear Ellie but for the first time in my entire life i want the book Forty Rules of Love does not end quickly ,i will reread it in future definitely but the feel it has given me by sharing the beautiful rules of love by Shams of Tabrez (Turkish saint ,sufi) .
DeleteAll the rules of love seems to match with divine laws we know already though they speak into much detail .
i felt my soul can relate so strongly to what has been said here because somehow i have followed them unknowingly throughout my life .
oh yes i leave some dramas so they do not end soon because i love the concept
I don't slow down but I have reread a couple of books.
ReplyDeletei do the same when some book or movie feels more substantial dear Red
DeleteTasting a book is a marvelous experience, bili.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed weekend
liked the word tasting dear Pedro ,a book indeed has flavor which can influence our appetite for more meaningful learning
DeleteDepends on what I'm reading or watching Baili. Always like to find out what's at the end :)
ReplyDeleteexactly what i said that some reads can be special and can make us long for longer period of time to enjoy them :)
ReplyDeleteYes is so good to read a good book with calm.
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to sit down and enjoy a good book.
ReplyDeleteHappy September Wishes.
All the best Jan
I have to confess I would read it quickly... But after I had finished I would re-read the book again but more slowly.
ReplyDeleteHi, Baili! I often find myself reading a book that I'm enjoying more slowly. And sometimes before I get to the end, I go back to the beginning and reread it to really appreciate it. I looked up Reza Aslan because I hadn't heard of him before. What an interesting human being! His book sounds fascinating. Meanwhile I have to get busy making supper. Hugs and love to you, my friend!
