Hello dear friends!
Hope and pray all is well at your corner . We are experiencing one of the wort summers with really hot and humid days . Temperature displayed on screen can't explain why heat feel far more then it is mentioning ?
Anyway life goes on no matter how extreme or mild weather or things be . So we are back and settled to our routine of life . Perfect routine will take place when college and office will start from first August. This is how time lives us out so fast .
I still feel happy about the two weeks we spent in my native town specially in my native home .I had lots f time to recall old memories belong to my parents during our stay . And this joy i feel right now is about that luxury i had for few days at least. Actually we had no kids along to concern about and my brother and his wife felt bit relaxed this time which made the environment bearable and pleasant. Some glimpse of moment i enjoyed there .
summer of northern hilly town is diverse with occasional rains and cool breeze and it goes until mid July to mid August or so when humidity takes over ,yet northern summers are far pleasant then our in southern Pakistan sindh .So we tried to spend most of our time in yard ,my most favorite place on earth . having tea while looking at old friends below (hills, fields and remaints of stream ) is beyond beautiful experience .we are having morning tea here after breakfast.photo is taken next day to eid ul adha before leaving town.I asked my niece to preserve this moment for me .we would get out in yard at 5pm ,two and half hour before sunset just to witness the charming glory of view my house had . How wise was my mom who bought this place when easier land were available. She bought this hilly piece with some huge rocks stuck in ground for which she paid lots of money .after removing rocks filling the place and plain it to built house was another task . all she beard because of this commanding view .i wish residents can realize this as well
that rainy morning made me relive many other beautiful rainy days i spent there as little or young girl .my younger version seemed to exist there still playing around ,swinging ,laughing and hugging parents and climbing trees ,swimming in steam .what one can possibly be without the treasures of memories ?
i feel like part of me went "frozen " there locked within those magical moments
I am thankful everything went fine and we could visit my hometown .
A wonderful time! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletethanks dear Christine
DeleteI hope you find some cool relief from the terrible, terrible heat this summer!
ReplyDeletei did and we had not come back until August dear Debra if we had kids along but we had to get back as we missed them specially the youngest one who was staying with elder brother in Karachi ,he often mentioned he wish he was with us .all my children love northern Part of our country including hubby because of cooler weather and beautiful surroundings
DeleteYou had the wonderful experience of seeing views from your childhood home. I envy you and am happy for you.
ReplyDeleteoh precious Emma hugs to you my lovely and sweet friend ,i can imagine how important it is for older people like me and you to visit place where our childhood belong :)
Deletei wish you too have same experience my fiend and relive your childhood through strong gusts of memories :)
you have some gorgeous photos and what a beautiful area to spend so much time. Enoyed the whole post. About the heat - it always feels so much hotter in the sun than it use to even at a cooler temperature. What i've noticed lately is the UV index is extreme when you look at the weather report so that is one reason possibly it felt so hot for you. at home. That area of your childhood looks amazing.
ReplyDeletedear Sandy it is always lovely to hear from you!
Deleteglad you enjoyed having look of these photos of my native home front yard . it is always very emotional and beautiful experience to visit home where i spent my teenage and early youth with my very first love of my life my parent ,mom specially .memories are always soul refreshing and empowering !
i was particularly happy to have rain which i have been missing during few days stay in village since many years ,i will always be feeling happy for that renewal as i missed it greatly lately .
i agree that actual heat does not seem to match with numbers shown on screen because with same temperatures displayed on screen we have often experienced far lesser hot days
You did have a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing your photographs.
I hope the weather will cool down soon for you.
All the best Jan
dear Jan just had chat with eldest son from London and he agrees that weather throughout the world is getting unusual with rising heat waves ,though having hope is positive thing to do that weather will turn to it's norm in future hopefully
DeleteInteresting that you spend part of the summer away from home in a cooler place.
ReplyDeleteSounds as if you had a wonderful break from normal life on your holiday Baili, The photos are beautiful, love the flowers and you and your husband look wonderful. Thanks for sharing these precious photos.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
yes and it was indeed a great chance to get away from heat of southern part which experiences highest temperatures from June to September
ReplyDeleteDespite the hot temperatures, Baili, you and your husband looked like you had the best way to cool off, to sit in the shade and have aa drink, hopefully not a hot one. Thank you for sharing the photos and information on your childhood home. it is nice that you were able to go back and visit and recall special memories. It's too bad you were not able to connect with your sons; technology can be wonderful when it works and awful when it does not.
ReplyDeleteDear Dorothy temperature in northern part of our country are mild during summer unlike here in southern area where because we live close to Nara desert we get extremely hot weather with highest temps such as 45 c to 50.utterly uncomfortable season for inhabitants. So for us it was pleasant weather while living in village for two weeks. Rains were bonus in second week.
DeleteYes internet service has been weakening since few years there which kept us disturbed. Surprisingly internet on my sister in law 's phone was working fine and she was able to connect with her son living in Saudi Arabia.
I hope it cools down. Extreme heat is exhausting and even dangerous. This is such a lovely post. I enjoyed all the photos you shared of you and your family. I especially like the images of you and your husband. You seem like such a wonderful, happy couple. Sending you blessings, my dear friend.
ReplyDeleteSeems like weather specially summer season is getting awful quickly dear Martha. Extremely hot weather can cause sickness and even death as many people has been effected negatively throughout the world including our southern part of the Pakistan. No doubt this is time to take step to stop it before it's too late.
DeleteThanks for sweet words for our image my friend. I don't know about love but we both find peace in each other's company we are sure about this only.
Hugs and blessings
Going back to our origins is always good, baili.
ReplyDeleteI need to do it as soon as possible.
Have a great week
Yes ,one of the most beautiful things 9ne can do in life dear Pedro: )
DeleteI hope and pray May you be able to do it soon!
Por certo lhe fez bem voltar à casa onde nasceu. Recuperam-se tantas memórias. Gostei das fotografias da sua família bonita. Deus queira que o excesso de calor não lhe faça mal.
ReplyDeleteUma boa semana.
Um beijo.
heartfelt thanks for the lovely words dear Grace !
ReplyDeletewe go to visit native town after one or two years but our stay in village is very short(three days hardly) due to some reasons so this time was special when we went to my native home to stay there for a while and it happened after many many years that i was able to spent two weeks there .i am really glad and grateful that i got this opportunity and relived memories of my parents and childhood . i don't know if such chance will come again in future
hugs
God is kind indeed ,he put us in test on the one hand and gives strength to go through it on the other hand as well so i am sure he who is within and around me will give us strength to fight this extreme heat
though recent down pour has made quite difference for a while
You have a beautiful way of writing poetic descriptions of visiting your home town and your cherished family home. Reading your posts is almost like sitting down and visiting with you. The flowers in your photos are flowers I grow from seeds every year, Zinnias. I love them. You look very refreshed during your visit. Stay cool, I send you hugs from California.
ReplyDeletethank you dear Terra for kind and sweet words! they strengthen me always
Deletei believe it is your inner beauty that find my simple description worthy of reading !

ReplyDeleteThank you dear Nichole
DeleteHearing from you is joy indeed
It looks like you enjoyed your time.
ReplyDeleteThe weather is strange, in my home town we have had mostly rain in what should be our summer months.
On my recent holiday (in a different part of the UK) the weather was sunny and amazing but back home it was continually raining.
Dear Cheri weather is being a common issue throughout the world i agree and nothing seems familiar about any season anymore
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the extra special time you spent in your native village, Baili. Your mother was a remarkable woman with lots of foresight. I really enjoyed the pictures of you and your hubby. You looked so relaxed! And the flowers in Rawal Lake Park are lovely. I enjoyed seeing all the flowers in Nova Scotia, especially the Queen Anne's Lace and buttercups running wild. Your middle son has such a great smile. It lights up his whole face. Take care of yourself, especially in the heat. Love and hugs to you!
