Weather, Repair Of the House And Found Medicine That Worked Finally

It is 5p. It will take sun more than one and a half hour to set off almost. Same or little less time for labor and mason at work above to leave. I think i mentioned in previous post that hubby has appointed working men for the renovation of our rooves and guest room as well. We were willing to renovate the guest room and main bathroom in the yard this year already, but recent dreadful rainfall for more than two months has caused great damage to both upper rooms of the house and all rooves of the house over all. All walls of the house have absorbed the water and have started to shed paint and cement particles which mean we will have to spend on paint either so can get rid of this annoying paint and cement shower within the house. This work can take more than one month i believe.

Thanks to our oldest who has shared this burden by offering more than eighty percent help. God bless him! Otherwise, we would have been dividing this work in few periods in order to adjust the expenditure . My son mentioned that he will be visiting us in December hopefully and i am looking forward to days when whole family be together again. Since my younger son also has left the home for studies, we are missing both of them.

One positive thing about recent longest spell of torrential rain is that our weather remained bearable, and temperature hardly arose from thirty-five or little more from mid-June to till September which is great deal for the people living here who find so hard through fifty plus temperature here during summer season .

All rose plants in my small garden seemed pretty happy with this weather and continued to bloom during the season which is also a treat for eyes and soul indeed. Rose flowers never showed up before in these months but only from November to April . It seems weather is really important for living all things to survive.

If it was not of harsh weather here , we would have not thought about leaving this city which has flavor of peaceful town, But it is becoming so hard to survive through extreme heat with age here which restrict all kind of mobility, and even reaching to the bathroom in the yard by passing under scorching sunlight feels terrible.

We love our our house. This came out of our long time dream. Spending time in yard seems so nice s in winters but in summer we have to wait till sun goes down. If we will move from here in future this home will always be special for us because hubby has put in it not just his hard-earned money but love and devotion along with lots of struggle. He owned a bicycle back then on which he would run here and there to provide things for the construction that took many months and effort built.

Nothing is easy in life. Everything needs passion to succeed and i saw hubby's passion for this house and struggle to turn it into a home sweet home for his family. I know no other home will ever replace it in his heart.

Two and half year to go and hubby will retire. All we want to move to Islamabad in apartment not much big so we can manage it easily with less energy we have in our fifties. I don't know what will happen next, but dreams are good as they make life interesting and meaningful.

Me and hubby weren't feeling well since got back from Islamabad. But from a recent visit to a doctor has brought us some relief finally. We both are taking same medicine and have begun to feel better thankfully.

Hubby says that as he goes out most he is seeing so many people having cold flu and motions commonly. Seems like a plague as everybody is sick almost, why?  Is this a side effect of recent rains or it has something to do with Corona vaccination???

Because seems quite weird.

My oldest son told one of the his colleagues is sick with same symptoms. Many visitors from in laws have from different areas also mentioned sama thing. My sister in law too. Even one of my childhood friends called and told she had been sick with similar disease. My intention by sharing this is not to spread uncomfortable rumors but curious if you have noticed something like this where you live.

I have written this post while half of my mind is absent due to the Medicine I took. It has slowed down my brain.

See you soon dear friends. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Wishing you all health, peace and happiness in days ahead. Please take great care of yourself.

  1. Dear Baili - sorry to read you and hubby have been ill. Pray that you both will be healed soon. It sounds like you are at a crossroads as retirement looms ahead. It is that way for me as well. Aging does make us rethink how we live. Hope you do have time with both your sons in the coming weeks. Hugs!

    1. first of all dear Debbie i am baili ,by clicking on "accept" one of the notices from blogger about European laws i somehow strangely created another blogger account with my youngest son, name Ahmed. this is weirdest thing i ever experienced .now when i got back and tried to change i could not so i remain it as it is for now and reply to comments of you all sweet friends

i will be sharing the details of medicine on my next post that seems to work for us thankfully and why i am little anxious about it.
how nice that you husband is close to his retirement as well :)
a couple unites physically in youth a most vibrant phase of life but their souls join each other slowly with time .i think to celebrate this spiritual meeting retirement provides perfect opportunity :) life is unpredictable still it feels good to have companion when life is not haphazard anymore and there is more time to explore not just hearts of each other but so many things that we overlooked with youth enthusiasm . without "aging" none of it was possible .i feel blessed that i am witnessing time of my life when i can look at life and everything about it with clear sight and better perspective .

  2. Well, since the pandemic isn't over and, while Covid vaccinations DO prevent the worst life-threatening symptoms from developing, the vaccination doesn't prevent transmission of the highly contagious Omicron variant, I suspect that what everyone has is Covid. It's running rampant here in Canada too but many fewer people are dying because of the vaccine. I had Covid myself about a month ago but it was just like a mild and annoying cold. I still isolated for the required time, of course.

  3. Been reading and catching up here. So unfortunate all the work that has to be done because of the rains. I know many areas in the states are having issues whether it's drought or rains, flooding. We even had a torrential downpour that lasted a few hours and because of mountain roads coming up here a lot of mudslides happened. Hoping your health returns. I haven't heard of a lot of colds, etc going around but I live in a small area and see a lot of local stuff posted in facebook forums here and it's not a big topic anyway. Your eldest is so kind with all his help!!

    1. dear Sandyi keep wonder about climate change and why weather in the whole world has become like nature has lost her mind though some say that weather has been like this since always and probably we are under threat of some cyclic events that take place probably in certain time frame like in centuries or Millenia.
sorry that your areas also went through torrential rain though it was short thankfully .i am sure that accept it did not affect daily life as badly as here two provinces in Pakistan which are flat and rainwater stands still for months and routine of life is disturbed for long. people specially those who's earning depends on daily vages suffer most which is sad.
reading the comments gives me understanding that corona and omicron both are active and people getting sick has the reason behind probably .
i witnessed worst possibility of land sliding during our trip to Kashmir .huge rocks lurking on less slopy hills look like waiting to jump on the vehicles running below ,it was scary to even consider that dreadful possibilty .though i believe roads are wider and safe for traffic at your part which is satisfying .many people in Kashmir become victim of land sliding during rainy season specially

  6. I think perhaps your ailments are a virus such as a cold or flu. It spreads a little when it gets a hold. If like us you had periods of lockdowns due to Covid this means when getting close to others again we are more suscptible the more common ailments due to our immune system getting lazy when it didn't have to deal with such things.

I hope you manage to realize your dream and move to that apartment. But I do know what you mean about leaving the family home where so much love and effort made it to be special.

    1. lifestyle is different here dear Chrie ,we avoided outing asap during pandemic but having visitors never stops and greeting each other warmly by hugging is also common and often so chances to get effected are hundred percent so true .
so true about a house that all of us wish to have and when life gives chance to make it come true we put in it not just money but our soul too ,leaving such place is hard as it becomes a companion who breathed and grew old with you like a warm kind companion but still people move for different .with age bearing cruelty of weather and specially lookafter big house like ours is difficult as we don't like to have domestic help so smaller house sounds safe option for last years of our life

    1. yes it is possible dear Pedro because our most of city remained under water for more than three to four weeks which might have caused abundance of flies and mosquitoes a very solid source to spread diseases

  8. Expensive are the torrential rains, oh dear! Good to read your eldest is helping and probably coming home in December for awhile. That's so good you are feeling better, both of you as it's certainly not at all pleasant when not well.
Being springtime here a few people have got colds, nothing else and the Covid-19 people are much fewer.

  9. it is nice to hear from you dear Margaret that corona and new virus is not causing trouble to the people of your homeland ,such a relief .it seems that authorities you have are efficient and kind .wish we can have this privilege too

  10. Covid has been rampant here too but people aren’t getting as sick because of the vaccine. Could that be the problem there too?

  11. I am glad you are both feeling better. It is miserable enough to feel bad but when the whole household is ill everyone feels even worse.
When everything is done on your home it will seem like a new place. What a job it is.

  12. Covid will never go away, but some humans won't even keep a distance much less wear a mask. So it continues to invade us. It is so nice that your son is helping with the repairs on the house. Blessings and healing to you and your family.

    1. To be honest people hardly follow the restrictions in market places particularly that boosts the disease in quickest way I believe.
Yes virus won't leave. It is us the people who need to understand how fast we learn to adjust with new enemy

  14. I hope that you and your husband will be feeling better by the time you read this comment, Baili. Sorry to read about the damages to your home, but so nice that your oldest son can help with the financial costs. Your plans to move to an apartment once your husband retires are similar to what we did. We also loved the home we renovated in VA, but do not miss the work, both inside the house and in the yard.

I must apologize for deleting a couple of your recent comments on my blog. I check every day for spam and when the name was not recognized, I mistakenly deleted before fully reading that you were replying from your son’s computer. I am sorry for my hastiness, my friend.

    1. Oh dear Dorothy no problem if you have figured out eventually that it was me commenting.
I will mention myself at the beginning next time.

So true about not missing work need to be done in bigger house. I have started to feel quite helpless because I can't carry the physical tasks anymore that my big house asks for .It will be relief to move into smaller house where I can have little time for myself either.

  15. I do hope you and your hubby are feeling better. Sending you both healing wishes. How lovely that your son is helping out. What wonderful soul he is. Homes are constantly in need of work and even more so when the weather is harsh. We hope to move to a small apartment at some point in the future. As we get older, we want a smaller space with less responsibilities.

    1. Thank you dear Martha!
I think with agent when energy levels drop down it is practical to live in small place that doesn't demand for intense physical works. Seems like while ago when woul not feel tired while working from dawn to dusk but now my body protests when I resist her slow achy response to house chores

  16. I hope you and your hubby are feeling better, Baili. I really loved what you wrote about Ali's devotion and effort to create a special home for you and your sons. I can understand your desire to downsize, and your sadness at leaving the home you love. Not that it's any of my business, but I think the easier climate in Islamabad will be better for you. Climate change is only going to get worse.

Our home is too big, but I have been fortunate to be able to have a cleaning crew come in and do the heavy cleaning every three weeks. I hired them right after Terry had his heart attack. I just love them ~ We have become good friends ~ Big hugs all around every time they come.

We're planning to stay in our home as long as we can. There is a lot of flu, colds, and Covid going around our area too. I think there may be some illnesses caused by all the flooding and misery so many in your country have suffered through.

What a wonderful, generous, and thoughtful son your oldest son is. I'm sure your younger sons are extra special in their own ways too. You and Ali are blessed. I hope you all are together in December! Hugs to you!
