Hello beautiful souls 🥰
Sorry for being bit absent from blogging.
I was totally taken by yearly deep cleaning of the house in the last week of the Ramadan month. It had been two years I haven’t emptied the all kitchen cabinets and clean thoroughly due to lack of energy and health deprivation. But this year I couldn’t stop myself from doing it again as it has been included in my routine regularly. Doing something mom had been doing front of us for years is therapeutic for me honestly 🥹🥰♥️ Such activities deepen my connection to her 🫂🥹♥️
I must say special thanks to my youngest son who helped me to make this possible 🥹🤗🥰
Our younger son has joined us as well for a week by the grace of God🥹🙏🥰
He has been a huge help during all this cleaning process which made it done in the meantime thankfully.pictures below I shared are only few tiny glimpse of kitchen cleaning. I remembered to take photos this time because youngest son was a great support. Otherwise I would be worrying about that how to end it before evening time. I didn’t took pictures of rest of the cleaning nor were they as good looking as these ones 😂
The tea set of the house. On the right four pretty and delicate cups with yellow flowers are bought from flee market. Karachi ,the try at front with flying birds is also from flee market many years ago
Happy Eid to you and your family! I love that photo, it is so fun and joyful!
ReplyDeleteheartfelt thanks dear Debra !!
DeleteBaili may your celebration of Eid be blessed with joy. You certainly must have felt such a sense of accomplishment cleaning out your cupboards and washing up all your pretty dishes. I smile at the fact I have pans my dear grandma bought me when I got married and almost 48 years later am still using. I don't think there is anything out there now that could compare to the longevity and quality of what was made then. Well have a great day. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteDearest friend Debbie ♥️
DeleteHeartfelt thanks for sharing your experience with old crockery gifted by your grandmother 🥹😍🥰
I can only imagine the attachment you have with these pans 🥹
I agree that with time everything has lost its quality unfortunately and sadly.
My mother had quite a collection of her magnificent old utensils and everything including bed sheets sets .she had thirty years old dress and I could never forget how rich everything was in quality as compared to today. When we go for shopping we run to many places to find things like I have seen but never found anything like that .thank you again a, hugs♥️
I still believe you have a beautiful family. You steel utensils look brand new. Mine don't. Happy Eid.
ReplyDeletethank you so much dear Emma
Deleteyes steel utensils are new and haven't used them until now
Happy Eid!
ReplyDeletethanks Christine
Deletewow, you have a beautiful kitchen and so clean. You've inspired me to get busy. Had my third son here over the weekend. He is from Oregon but working in SoCal and comes here on the weekends for awhile. He never offered to help me clean but we did play a lot of Rummicube games, lol. Love your family photo!!
ReplyDeletethank you dear Sandy!
Deletehow lovely your son visits you on weekend ,such a luxury for a mom :)))
i bet even you don't want him to help cleaning because playing with him is more comforting :)
Happy Eid to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteThe contents of your cupboards are so lovely. Elegant. My mother had things like that, she lived about 2,800 miles away from me, and I did not get any of those things when she died. How lucky you are to have those pieces with you.
ReplyDeletesorry that your mother lived quite a far away dear Susan !
Deletemine lived 1000 miles away .When she died i wasn't close as well so all things got my younger sister but most sad part she could not save them from withering around . old things have value because they have fragrance of love we used to be attached once
Happy Eid to you and your family. Here , I'm the house cleaner and my kids are not close enough to help.
ReplyDeletehow nice dear Red that you take all the responsibility of house cleaning Micro manager must be lucky :)

DeleteBaili, adding my best wishes to you and your family for the Eid celebration. Housecleaning is my least favorite job, but nice when all is done and nice that your son helped as well. your dishes were lovely to see too. That last photo of you and your family is so joyful 😀
ReplyDeletedear Dorothy thanks for sweet words!
Deletei am not in love with this job either but i do it when i feel like it :) yes when it's done the sense of achievement is rewarding :)
This year my mums birthday and the UK mothers day coincided with the Eid celebrations.
ReplyDeleteI love the family photo :-)
what a delightful conscience dear Cheri :)
DeleteI hope you had a Happy Eid, baili! We have had many families from other countries immigrate to Nova Scotia and now we are starting to see signs for Eid products such as special foods that our grocery stores have on display. I thought of you when I first started seeing the signs!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely dishes with the delicate flowers on them. And I agree, it is hard nowadays to find items of quality that were so plentiful many years ago. I visit our local thrift store often, because when older folks clean out their homes to move into smaller places they often donate such quality items that have been in their cupboards for decades :)
dear friend Jenny ,many thanks for a lovely comment !
Deletehow amazing that your area live abundance of people who celebrate Eid :)
i love when people from different different culture and faith live in harmony .I believe this is something our Maker loves most .Just like you will be happier when you will see your children playing cheerfully instead opposing each other. The Creator of us and our universe is far Greater than you and me so we can hardly imagine how tremendous will be his Joy to see co existing his creatures harmoniously. i could not respond sooner as our youngest son was home and for one week and he also had a minor accident one day before Eid .He was riding motor bike and had to pull break suddenly in order to save a little girl who came front of the bike from a side at once. He got scratched knees and soring feet . so guests were coming to see him .
it took quite a time to me to realize that i should stop running on different shops to look for things of similar quality mom had . i thought i was missing something or our Sindh province lacks things of good quality .But when started to ponder on the matter i realized not just me but all people of our era facing same issue. everyone complains that nothing is like before . This made me feel confuse "why" then digging it deeper i found out that as they say
"only one thing in the universe is constant and that is Change"
this is heart broken but we have no option than accept to reality .Throughout the life we time to time encounter with this shaking fact .first of all when we loose something very favorite ,or loose our parents ,or children leave home and so on .even we are not the same because series of such incidents keep us changing and growing for better or worse (up to our perspective)
i have final acknowledged that i can't stop the change but only can adjust with it .
sorry if my comment seems to distracted :)
hugs!!!
Hello Baili ... I know I commented on this post a few days ago!
ReplyDeleteHas it gone into spam folder?
Love that family photograph.
All the best Jan
dear Jan your comment is visible above :)
ReplyDeletethanks
Hello, Dear Baili, I hope that you had a lovely Eid. Such a sweet and happy photo of you and your family. xx It is always so satisfying to do some spring cleaning. I always like to tidy things when I have something on my mind. As I sort out my drawers, closets and cupboards, I sort through things in my mind! You have a nice collection of pretty dishes and teacups. I agree with you that the quality of things now doesn't compare to the way things were made in the past. I love flea markets for finding quality things you can't find any longer. It's so sweet that your son helped you, too. My son came today and helped with some heavy planters I needed moved. After all those years of raising our sons, it is a good feeling to know they are kind and helpful young men. Hope you are feeling well and enjoying a lovely spring. Sending blessings x Karen
ReplyDeleteFazer limpeza grande não é uma coisa muito agradável, mas com a família a ajudar custou menos com certeza.
ReplyDeleteUma boa semana.
Um beijo.
so true dear Grace :)
