Hello kind people!
Hope all is well with you and yours by the grace of God!
We have entered in the last ten days of Ramadan month. I am really grateful for I could fast after many years ( five to six years almost)
I am more happy about reduction of carbs in our daily life which made it possible. Because the more carbs you eat the more hungry you feel for carbs. Does it sound like laws of attraction π
Thanks to blogger friend Jan who keep inspiring me first of all then to Doctor Doctor Zee whom we subscribed on YouTube (Urdu channel) He with his short and brief videos convinced us (me and hubby) to cut short our breads and decrease the sugar intake. We are planning to
shift to the two meals a day rather than three meals. It’s amazing to feel less stuffed and lightπ€
Sharing hubby’s image because I feel it worth it, I often take hubby’ photo before he leaves for the office. He has two more months of such routine. He is retiring in the first week of June 2025 .I wonder how it feels to suddenly disengage long time routine (30 years) He is gift for his family ♥️
This lovely photo and one below it are from the day when eldest son Ahsan and Gabi has invited Gabi’s parents to celebrate Sue’s birthday π₯° this image fills my eyes with tears of joy and gratitude π₯Ή♥️

A family photo after their visit to restaurant I guess. Sorry that I couldn’t find Sue’s birth date though I scrolled my cell screen lotπ me and hubby are quite impressed with this beautiful family who schedule trips to different countries and cruise on yearly basis properly. Right a week or two after this Sue and John visited Austria by road.they travelled through the underwater tunnel to France and then to Germany and Austria. This was astonishing that John drove whole way π―π . They are visiting this route to Austria since thirty two years almost. It’s a wonderful thing for me to learn even ππ₯°π and after returning from this tour Gabi ,her family and other close family members went to cruise for five days . How exciting π€π₯°♥️ I love to see families so closely engaged and travel together. My son was invited for each trip but sadly he didn’t have time to join that because excursion.next time hopefully π€

Sue is very nice photographer, she has shared one of her capture with from London ,she is very active person, she reads ,travels ,write for some magazine and teaches badminton to youngsters! She is sixty four♥️
This short video was shared by Sue when they were on trip to Austria and they were entering in the underwater tube train to reach France . I found this whole thing very interesting and exiting. Travel under the water and in the train wow everything is full of wonder ππ₯°♥️
Thanks dear friends for being with me!
Health peace and happiness to you and to all you love ❤️
That tunnel is amazing in the video, I've never seen anything like that.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, all of them Baili.
Such beautiful photos of everyone, even the cat! How wonderful that your husband is retiring soon -- retirement is a reward for a good life spend working hard. I hope he has hobbies and fun activities that he will now be able to pursue more fully. That's the key to a happy retirement, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteDear friend Debra thank you so much for sweet words ♥️
DeleteI have received these beautiful pictures from Sue in February but while I was deciding to post Ramadan month began and I felt I should post something about our Creator as memory of fasting in this month after long time.
I agree that both pictures are so lovely,a family photo of all with sweet smile on their faces and the other of Gabi and Ahsanπ₯°♥️
Yes thirty years of work and being active on both sides at office and at home as well. Hubby loves to do something all the time and this habit of him makes hard work a pleasant hobby. It’s been great journey by the grace of God thankfully and God made this job a source to make our separate home which was really important for the better upbringing of our children!
Eldest son often asks his father whether he wants to do something in future in order to keep busy. But hubby wants to take time to think or decide about it . I am hopeful we will be able to move to the Islamabad in next one or two years. I think it will help us to lead a better and active life hopefully.
I believe your husband will thoroughly enjoy retirement. He will be ablr to spend more time growing his flowers. The two of you will spend time doing the things you both enjoy.
ReplyDeleteThanks dear Emma ♥️
DeleteYes we are looking forward to his retirement and then the completion of all the necessary paperwork he will be needing to do afterwards for the claim of his due payment. Then we will be able to move and do things of our liking such as walks and taking trips within country. Wish us best of luck my friend π₯°
Lovely news!
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine
DeleteHow great for your husband to be retiring soon. He will be able to keep his own schedule and do the things he enjoys. How exciting for you both!
ReplyDeleteThank you dear Marie
DeleteIt’s exciting indeed and full of hope and dreams for life I have been waiting to live someday π₯Ήπ₯°♥️
That's a very happy looking group with your son.
ReplyDeleteLuckily Sue ,John and Gabi are very bright and positive people full of good energy and love for life . Thankfully our family shares their way of thinking as well π
DeleteOh, so sweet to see the photos. Adorable cat..and I love the photo of your hubby. What will you do with him home when he retires? Wishing you much happiness this spring. Thanks for the lovely post!
ReplyDeleteThanks dear Ellie ♥️
ReplyDeleteFamily pics are precious indeed and cat is photographed so beautifully π
That day hubby had wore this wasket and I couldn’t resist taking picture π♥️
We have simple dreams to live life while enjoying small things in the life as everything is gift from our Maker and providerπ₯Ήπ₯°
Hello Baili,
ReplyDeleteYou are blessed with a beautiful family. What a cute kitty.
I know you husband will be very happy when he retires.
Lovely collection of photos.
Take care, have a happy weekend.
Big thanks for sweet words dear Eileen ♥️
DeleteThe kitty seems to pose for the picture π it’s like a painting actually π
Best wishes to you and yours
Two months to go for your hubby, Baili! That's great! It is a transition to retire. I felt guilty at first, but I got over it. π I've found that having a sense of purpose when you get up in the morning is important, so hopefully your hubby will have things to engage him. Terry and I are looking for ways to reduce sugar and carbs in our diet too. When I'm at home in Colorado, I have more control. Thanks for sharing the lovely family photos. Gabi comes from a close and loving family, and I think that's very important. I am happy for Ahsan and Gabi and wish them well. I hope that you are having some relaxing time this weekend. We are soon starting our renovation. I'll be relieved when it's done. Hugs and love to you!
ReplyDeleteThank you dear Louise for sharing your lovely thoughts ♥️
DeleteI always wanted a career but it never happened.but it made me happy and proud that my life got chance to work hard and support his family. Hubby did two jobs at a time when I lived in Islamabad for some years around year 2000.(don’t remember exactly) he loves to stay busy.and it reminds me of my mother. I too am not the exception honestly. I can’t just lay down or day dreaming. We both keep on day full of different business. π
I felt concerned time to time how will he feel after sudden separation from busy schedule. But when I see him looking for something else do after returning home from work,I realise that he will find to do something surly π€ because he loves it. Mom living in small village was never free . It’s never opportunity to do something but always a desire to do something that makes it possible. I think this desire makes people creative and time productive ππ₯°
I feel so happy that you and Terry are trying to reduce carbs from your diet as well. I have learned with time that it is really important when we are above fifty. I am thankful that we have started to take it seriously finally. I am feeling the positive response of my body already π
I really hope both of you will practice your desire asapππ
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for expressing your good wishes for both Ahsan and Gabi ! When I think how really kind God is and how he brought miracles to our lives always.it keeps me absorbed in sense of gratitude every single moment my friend. As you mentioned Gabi comes from loving family who values mutual love in closeness. For me nothing is greater than that honestly. I really don’t know what will happen in future but I will be having faith in God’s grace and praying for what is good for both kids !π₯Ήππ₯°π
Yes my dear friend Louise Ramadan gives me break from the daytime business in kitchen specially. Because me hubby and Ahmed are fasting. So I have more time to read friends blog do something productive for household.
Last week of the Ramadan so I will possibly take break from fasting and get busy in some detailed cleaning of the house. As we have custom here.
Heartfelt best wishes for your renovation my friend ππ♥️
Hope it’s done asap and you will have a fresh looking home soon π€π₯°♥️
We have been through so I will be keeping you in thoughts and prayers as always π♥️
Much love and hugs π«
Lovely post Baili, many thanks for mentioning me and the low carb diabetic blog.
ReplyDeleteYou've shared some wonderful photographs.
Great one of your husband, I wish him a happy retirement in June ... not long now!
Lovely photographs of Gabi and Ahsan and then the group picture too.
Sending lots of good wishes to you.
Enjoy the weekend.
All the best Jan
Dear friend Jan ♥️
DeleteAs you can I am a keen learner of new things that can upgrade my life in positive and better ways. But on the other hand I lack time to dig for helpful ideas which can make it possible for me. Your blog has been inspiring me silently for adopting good habits that are essential for healthy living. It took some time but I am finally able to motivate myself and hubby (who is faster than me in taking actions according to the useful knowledge ) to reduce carbs from our daily diet. Our traditional way to consuming food is dangerous as carbs are main item of our three meals unfortunately. So it was really hard to get rid off such life long food habits. But we made it eventually we are quite happy about it ππ
Big and heartfelt thanks for liking these beautiful, precious pictures dear friend π₯Ήπ₯°♥️
Love and prayers
Those are wonderful photos of your husband, and of your son and Gabi and her family. It must be exciting for both you and your husband that he is retiring soon! And of course, I love the cat photo :)
ReplyDeleteMy precious friend Jenny π₯°♥️
ReplyDeleteIt’s lovely to hear from you π€
Thank you for sharing your feelings of liking these delightful photos π
I cherish them with all my heart whenever I listen at them. My faith in Love and hope inspires me to live in acknowledgement of all such blessings and appreciate and embrace them joyously π₯°π€♥️π
Yes we have been looking forward for hubby’s retirement since few years because it will be a way to change our life in a positive way hopefully. Our decision to move to Islamabad is making it happy and with little excitement as well π€
We have loved to spend the with each always than any other thing so having each other for full time must be more amazing because we both have common interests such as taking walks, visiting families and other places so on …
I am also looking for to bring in hubby and some regular exercise schedule as well.he likes walking but exercise is still something he has to be habitual of.
By the willing of God everything will be possible hopefully ☺️
I can understand your love and cat photo my friend as you have been a cat lover since very long time π₯Ήπ♥️
Such nice pictures ! I already took the under the sea tunnel ounce but not with our car, it was very quick! My son was in London last week for his job and we visited places such as beautiful garden on Skype together and it is always quite nice. Good end of Ramadan dear friend.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your experience and thoughts dear Catherine π₯°
DeleteI know you live in beautiful France and as you said you took under sea tunnel for London. I am thankful that your son has recovered by the grace of God and he is working in London now instead Dubai .yes London is one of the most beautiful cities in the world π♥️
Thank you Catherine for Ramadan greetings.it’s very sweet of you ♥️
DeleteI think its delightful that you take hubby's photo when he goes off to work! Lovely also to see pics of your son and his friend/family, he has good friends. It must be so reassuring for you, when he is so far away, to know that he is with good people. Betty
ReplyDeleteDear Betty as you know I am deeply in love with life ,nature and everything. This love makes me realise the importance of every single moment and every single person we have in life. I love you, respect and appreciate hubby for all his incredible support and care for his family . It may sound normal or insignificant to some but for me every little thing counts. I never hesitate to admire hubby for whatever he has done for us. I never put condition to get or seek admiration for myself.Although he expresses his feelings but rarely unlike me.
DeleteWhenever he dresses up for the office and I feel he is looking quite handsome I take photo immediately ππ₯°
Yes Gabi and her family is very special as they are very close and stay in touch always. I love how they manage to take trips together with all other family members. Such occasions refresh and deepen bonding.
This makes us happy, peaceful and really grateful that Ahsan has such sensitive and sensible people in his life π₯Ήπ₯°♥️π
Retirement doesn't mean stopping.
ReplyDeleteYour husband must continue active.
Have a great week
I fully agree dear Pedro
DeleteI see it rarely but yes here as well people after retirement try different jobs to stay active or make living.
I think hubby as he is a big thinker will take time and think what will suit him in future.
Blessings
What a beautiful family you have. I love those smiles. I think taking a pic of the hubby is a good tradition. Maybe I'll start that with my husband too. Lol!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much dear Lux G.
ReplyDeleteI encourage you to take photo of your hubby when you feel like and don’t hesitate to. Expressing genuine simple feelings to each other makes relationships stronger π₯°♥️

DeleteThere is no such day in our thirty three years marriage that I didn’t find him attractive π₯Ήπ₯°♥️
Yea hope and pray that God will be our Guardian and helpful in finding our way in future after his retirement π€

ReplyDeleteThank you dear Ashok☺️
ReplyDeleteWow, great post and so nice to meet the family. I agree with you - love when families are close and enjoy their trips. Good job on reducing the carbs. Hope you all continue to be happy and healthy. So good to see this today. It made me smile.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you, Baili, as you near the end of Ramadan. Thank you for your lovely reply to my comment. We arrived home from Hawai'i late on Wednesday, and I am ploughing through a huge pile of mail, and Terry is doing our taxes. Back to the real world! π So it's great to take a small break and catch up with you. I'll be thinking of you and your detailed cleaning as I pack up our home for the renovation. Hugs and love to you!❤️πΊ
ReplyDeleteIt's so wonderful to hear about your reflections during the last days of Ramadan and the positive changes you're making in your life! It’s amazing how reducing carbs and sugar has brought such clarity and lightness to your routine. It’s also inspiring how you and your husband are embracing these healthy changes together, especially the shift to two meals a day.
ReplyDeleteYour gratitude for family and the joyful photo of your husband is heartwarming. The upcoming retirement must be a bittersweet moment after 30 years of routine, but it sounds like he's already been such a gift to his family. And what a special moment to celebrate Sue’s birthday with loved ones—it's truly beautiful to see the love and joy in these memories!

Limiting certain foods is a good plan, Baili. I have not eaten any candy sweets for the past 3 weeks and have not missed it and also have abstained from any alcohol during Lent. We try to limit carb intake even though there is nothing as good as home made bread. Congrats to your husband on his upcoming retirement. It seems that Gabi's parents are very adventurous and it was great to read about all of their adventures as we are also planning a couple more trips in the fall.
ReplyDeleteIt is always lovely to see photos of your family.
ReplyDeleteRetiring from employment gives the opportunity to pursue other interests. Currently I volunteer in two quite different roles; greeting people at a local attraction and helping a local school to improve children's reading levels.
