Few sketches By My elder son, Glimpse Of Lush Fields From a Trip To Village

 Hello dear friends!

Hope and pray that all is well with you and yours by the grace of God!

Since I am back,I have been little busy with guests and paying due visits to my sisters in law .Due means that we try to visit them during cooler weather. As our winter is far gone and summer comes closer,we thought it was best time to visit three of my sisters in law. Two of them live in same area but different houses. The eldest sister in law has widowed few months ago and according to custom all family members must visit her when her “ iddat “ time ( three months of staying inside the house for a woman after death of her husband). We have bought gifts for all of my sisters in law including wives of hubby’s brothers. So it was pleasure to spend time with all of them and specially with mother in law as well. Everyone liked their dresses we’ve bought them thankfully.

No matter what occasion is I miss my mom always 🥹

To fill this space chatting with wife of my brother help a bit.

This is astonishing how longing for connection to our origin keep us going.

Today sharing some beautiful photos captured during motor bike ride to the village of eldest sister in law.

And few sketches drawn by my talented younger son. I asked him to share his fresh sketches. But I doubt as if first two I have shared before. My younger son chose computer science willingly but he likes to draw whenever he finds break . His class mates told that many art students like to take help from him .It makes us happy and grateful as parents!

Now,please enjoy the glimpse of both,

The landscape on the way was lush and beautiful,I really loved this mustard field.a rare but delightful sight 😍

Motorbike ride is magical experience specially when sunset is close and everything looks so whimsical and mystical 🥰
Land below, sky above and  a dim moon  waiting quietly for his turn to shine like a twelfth player in cricket , foster a strong feeling of harmony and divinity within soul!

Another rare but very joyful view I noticed was seeing majority of Ibis enjoying their feast in ponds ❤️

I know images are not impressive as taken against sun but believe me it was exceptional joy to see so many of them from close, standing on one leg make them look contemplative to me 😊

Before entering the village hubby got down to visit his late brother in law in graveyard and I looked at this lovely view ,the reflection of the date trees in the water seemed awesome. (Here in Sindh women don’t visit graveyard because of superstition

Now few sketches of my elder son ,I think these are impressive 😍

I more loved his expressions specially the eyes ♥️

I don’t know this character but the phrase is witty, my son had passion for drawing at home and would draw everyday even during studies he would draw on the side of notebook. Many of them we lost during torrential rains sadly

I think he might have imagined himself so draw this one,I found it heart touching honestly 🥹🥰😍♥️

My younger son lives in the hostel and he has lots to do when returning from the university, still he participates in various events and activities as well. Recently he was in leading team for organising the event in the university and given task to prepare decisions for the stage too

He was busy so couldn’t locate the final ready stage pic but early stages of preparation only

This decorative door is created by my son solely

My younger son with his class friends before the event started

These two photos I had captured with my iPad at the Airbnb where we stayed in Islamabad

Time flew by with a blink and eye but so grateful that I could see all of them together for a while ♥️
That is it for now precious friends!
See you soon hopefully!🤞
Lots of love and best wishes to you all♥️♥️♥️

  4. Your younger son is VERY artistically talented! What marvelous drawings! I recognize the two anime characters in colour from the internet, although I don't know their names. And his set deocrations are great too, especially the Greek columns and harp!

He has been actually a very well known throughout his school life.he has passed the drawing exam as well on insistence of his father as he wanted him to value his gift and pursue career which gives him satisfaction but he liked to choose computer science instead of. We are happy that he does his drawing practice whenever get time.
As for as the decoration you appreciated as Greek columns,I have to check for what the term is used honestly because I am no familiar. This saddens me that he couldn’t find the final prepared stage image .
Oh yes he is deeply in love with anime, all of the my children are actually. But Asad (name of younger son) likes to draw the characters from anime mostly.

I think every parent wants to see something special in their child.isn’t it great grace of the Creator who made countless but each has unique and extraordinary talents within.though depends as if we try to explore them too

  8. That is a touching custom to go and visit the woman who is in mourning.

Your son is talented. I noticed the eyes too and wondered if the other sketch was a self portrait before you said it.

Thank you so much for sweet words!
Yes a widow has to stay within house for three months according to religious custom . The rules were created to figure out if she was expecting, although with modern technology ways have been developed to find out if,still the tradition is kept by most till now.
How smart you too guessed it 👍☺️😊🥰
I thought I could guess because I was mom😂 bravo for this my friend ♥️

  15. Thank you, Baili, for sharing the artwork created by your son, who is talented indeed. And, it was nice to see all your sons together as they have grown up in the years I have been reading your blog. It was heartwarming to read about the family visits to your sister-in-law and the one who was recently widowed surely appreciated the visits.

  16. lovely to see your son enjoys sketching and there is humour in his art. Mustard fields are indeed beautiful, they grow around here where I live, but my husband is allergic to the pollen so we have to avoid walking through the fields! Betty

  17. Baili, your post is bursting with interesting things!! Your son's drawings are really good. I'm sorry you lost many of them during torrential rains. The expression in the deer sketch is brilliant. Your motorcycle ride through the countryside was lovely. I can see by the angle of the light that it was during what I call "the magic hour" for photography. As the sun gets close to setting, it makes the colors richer and the shadows grow. The spreading date palms are lush and sheltering. Here in Waikiki there are countless coconut palms, and one of my hula instructors said the coconut palm is the favorite tree of Hawaiians (the gift of food for one thing and an ability to survive for another). I would love to see a pond full of ibises. They remind me of flamingos and spoonbills. Your son created great stage props. I did a lot of that when I was in university. My mom did too. Actually my parents, my sister Bertie, and I did even more during our teaching careers. Your sons are talented in so many ways, Baili! Love that photo of the three of them. All the best to you and Ali! ❤️

  18. Thank you from a bottom of the heart my dear friend Louise for taking time leaving such a beautiful words full and love and kindness 🥰🥰🥰♥️

Younger son Asad has been a good artist from his primary school days,I don’t know if you remember a post in which I have shared drawings of both younger sons when they were in early classes. Asad ‘s art was noticeable since always. I want to share more about his work but he is extremely busy with university studies so no time for searching and sharing his latest sketches:(

Yes sunset is truly a magical time which turns features of land into something exceptional and filled with mystical beauty 🥹🥰

I love travelling in this time most. Yes sight of so many ibises was an utterly pleasant surprise for us ,i felt hard for move away lol the whole journey was breathtaking experience.

How amazing that you parents would help you in creating for university projects 🥰😊😇👌 they loved you sooo much dear Louise 🥰☺️🤗🤗♥️

You indeed are lucky who got such dedicated and loving parents. I feel the depth of love you carry inside and the gift you share with others is something special they gifted you 🤗🥰☺️😍

There is a little difference in date tree to palm tree, look similar almost. Hawaiian are wise to appreciate the gifts of Nature 👌♥️
Heartfelt best wishes and love for you and yours ♥️
