I was taking my morning tea in the yard today and everything looked so calm and beautiful .Although the grass of my small garden has changed it's color fully ,plants are still doing fine and seemed happy and content while playing with slight morning breeze . Our neem tree petted two families of the birds as usual .Despite both families are totally different from one another they co existed harmoniously like good neighbors!
A couple of robins nestled in the neem tree this year instead of pomegranate surprisingly . Crows are permanent residents of Neem tree since few years and i was concerned they won't let robin to nestle close to them as they scare away all other tiny bird species always . But this year was exception and both totally different bird families co existed on the same tree . It filled my heart with peace . I whish we human learn this quality as well and start to accept our differences as part of Nature's plan.
Our third bird dove nestled among the branches of our climber like every year where hubby had made hatch for the climber to laydown and bloom.
I can hardly take any photo as they fly away when i see them around and get up dentally to grab my phone :(.
Sometimes the thought of leaving this house makes me sad. We have lived here for more than seventeen years and have so many lovely and sweet memories belong to it . It was our first shelter that hubby had build up for his family . He is going to retire nest year and we were planning to move to the Islamabad once he is retired. But now when time is moving closer i find mixed feelings of sadness and excitement in my heart. I am concerned if we can have big house like this over there . I love to have trees around one at least .I feel suffocated otherwise. I doubt that it will be possible . I don't know what will happen actually but these are my thoughts now days .
I was going to meditate right after the morning tea but i requested my youngest son to lend me his laptop for a while so i can write post first. The next time when laptop is free is the evening when i feel little exhausted or dull and i find writing in morning times easier because mind is bit fresh and stable then.
Thanks for being with me dear Friends !
Health ,Peace and Happiness to you all and to all you love!!!
A big decision coming up then regarding moving.
ReplyDeleteIt's always wonderful to see the birds coming and going, nests are being made down here and I'm watching the birds in the large tree next door.
Take care..
indeed it is huge thing to decide dear Margaret about our moving .i hope things will go smoothly when time comes by the grace of God !
ReplyDeletei have great fondness for the Nature and how birds present a pretty quick version of life cycle before our eyes every season :)
i hope i will find some tree there as well to feel accompanied
sounds like next year could bring big life changes! I hope everything goes well.
ReplyDeletehopefully my friend!
DeleteI love hearing of the birds in your garden, Baili. It is hard to take photos of them for sure!
ReplyDeleteMaking a big move isn’t easy. It sounds like you are preparing mentally for the move already!
birds fly swiftly when try to get up and grab phone
Deletewe been thinking about moving for many years dear Marie but can't predict anything just sharing our wish actually ,rest on Allah!
I don't envy your move. My family moved a lot when I was a child. Then my husband and I moved a lot too. I am now in what I hope is my final home. Moving is such work. It is soothing to watch your bird families. Squirrells and the dog keep birds from nesting in our trees but they visit and I love to watch them.
ReplyDeleteyou moved a lot no doubt dear Emma
Deletefor us it is long time dream ,lets see what future has
So sorry you will have to move.
ReplyDeleteyeas the weather actually
DeleteChange is hard, but if you invite God into the process the answer will be revealed when the time is right.
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful line dear Kathy and my heart says exactly same thing :)
DeleteMoving is difficult. I've lived on the same house for 55 years. It's the only house I'll ever own.
ReplyDeletewow that too sounds amazing because i know how much we love where we spend our whole life dear Red
DeleteChange is a lot to decipher. I love your story about the tree with the birds that don't get along. Our robins are vicious at times when they make a nest in the tree next to the basement door. It is interesting how those robins have to face the crows where you are. Oh, yes, I feel we need to downsize, but thinking and doing are totally different. I hope you will find a way to keep what you need with this move and hoping for the better. It is always a lot to think on. All the best to your meditations and health. Thanks for the wonderful post.
ReplyDeleteyes downsizing another factor that we want because with age it is becoming hard to look after big house for us
DeleteMaybe you can have a tree in a big pot if you don't have any close to your new house. 🌴🌳🌲
ReplyDeleteI know it is bittersweet. I still think of the house I grew up in. I wish I could go back and visit.
i wish your words prove right for me dear Sandi and i can have a park or bunch of tree there
Deletei can imagine how much you miss your old home my friend!
Yes, it seems you will have to give thought to the decision regarding you moving, but I'm sure things will work out for you.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
we too are hoping the same dear Jan thanks
DeleteRetirement choices are often a challenge but they can also be a new begining.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I would like to live in a city, I love my garden birds. Where I live is what we call urban, it is not a city and it is not countryside but we have a lot of green spaces with nature.
and i hope God give us courage to face these challenges nicely dear Cheri
Deletei never wanted to live in city ,like you i am huge fan of towns or urban area as you said ,nature is biggest source for my happiness actually
Yes, Baili, I can understand what you are going through as it was the same for us when we moved from our last large home into a smaller apartment. Sure, there are many times I miss sitting on the front porch and watching a rainstorm or enjoying a quiet afternoon or evening. We enjoyed renovating our old home knowing there was more work to be done in the future. A wooden frame home requires upkeep and maintenance, unlike a newer house. We also had a large yard which was beautiful in the spring and summer aside from the weeding and lawn cutting in the very hot summer months. We do miss our home many times, but then now we have more freedom to do other things, like travel and other things as well.
ReplyDeleteYou are certainly facing a big decision in the next year or so, but together you and husband will make the decision that is right for both of you. And maybe your future home will have some outdoor spaces or a nearby park as we have here but without any work required.
thank you so much for sharing lovely memories ,seems like you still miss your old big home once in a while ,it is so natural
Deletei loved how you enjoyed your sitting in porch and observing nature :)
i did same and so much :) in my native town
our moving has few basic reasons such as weather and living in smaller house so we can save our energy for better and meaningful things according to this phase of the age .
hope it will be possible in one or two next years as growing inflation has made many things impossible for all here sadly
Dear Baili, What a beautifully reflective post! The imagery of your garden and the harmonious coexistence of robins and crows is so heartwarming. It’s amazing how nature can provide us with simple yet profound lessons, like acceptance and peaceful coexistence, if only we take the time to observe.
ReplyDeleteYour thoughts on leaving a beloved home after so many years resonate deeply; the mix of excitement and nostalgia is something many can relate to. It’s a big change, but your love for trees and open space is bound to guide you to a place that brings you similar peace.
Thank you for sharing this glimpse into your life. May your journey ahead be filled with joy, new memories, and as many trees as you desire! 🌳Blessings to you, my friend. John
PS Thank you, Baili, for all your kind words on my recent posts about my West Coast adventure trip!
thank you dear John for lovely comment always!
Deletei so enjoyed your train travel sharing !
i agree and i have always felt that everything in Nature points out to us so we can learn to live better and harmonious life
i too hope and pray that we can move somewhere with greenery and lots of trees around
many thanks for the best wishes! same for you
Uma mudança pode ser interessante. Vai tudo correr bem. Oxalá também tenha árvores e aves. A proximidade da Natureza é sempre benéfica.
ReplyDeleteUma boa semana.
Um beijo.
we hope too dear Grace
ReplyDeleteNature is most powerful way to connect Divine for me
I loved hearing about your birds, Baili! I adore birds, and they give us such joy. Retirement brings big changes, and I'm sure it is hard to think about leaving the home you and Ali and the boys have lived in for so long. So many memories! My Grandmother MacDonald (maternal) always said, "Don't borrow trouble. Take one day at a time." Remembering her words often helps me when I'm facing change. I've been reading some philosophy thanks to you. The more I learn, the more fascinating it becomes. Terry and I have been through a lot in recent weeks, but things are finally easing. Take care of yourself! Blessings to you and your family!
