Hey Sweet Hearts !
Hope and pray beating with positivity and gratitude as always!
Let me share most awaited good news first please ,yes we had pre monsoon rains in Islamabad :) Can't describe my joy in words believe me . Heavy rain fall started on Friday evening 17th June and lasted for three days non stop thankfully . We were blessed to not just witness it but enjoy walking in it ,though it was not our choice but van left us a block away from our building and we had to walk to home which took ten minutes hardly. I loved it because i have bad habit to enjoy rain by getting along the drops . Weather for next transformed into pretty cooler days and we thoroughly enjoyed every single moment of it .Two rooms of our flat have balcony from where part of capital city can be seen while sipping from the cup of tea. Margalla hills around the city give spectacular view in dawn and dusk particularly. I starved for such rainy beautiful days literally for ages and i am grateful i could see them eventually.
By taking advantage of gorgeous weather we visited the Damn e Koh hill park and spent some amazingly lovely hours there .Sharing some photos with you which cannot reveal the true beauty of the day but but give little idea of it .
how right that weather plays very important role in the way we think or adopt daily life. beauty of weather relived citizen of capital city and all the place we visited after rainfall were packed with people and joyous voices of songs sung by young adults . i found that after covid 19 such hustle and bustle of life seemed treasure to me and i am sure it is same for most of us
we wanted to spend some leisurely hours while visiting the city below so we were there after lunchtime 2 30 pm . people started to arrive within hour and soon they were scattered among trees and pathways like colorful flowers ,what i like about the inhabitants of Islamabad is their mature and responsible behavior during their outings . they know how to enjoy without being headache for others around .may be it is healthy sign of being civilized and responsible citizen . soon place was crowded but there was hardly any noise except giggles or shouts of few children once in a while
unlike before so many monkeys were out of bushes and trying to attract people kids specially in seek of food . my younger son is always ahead in such chores so he kept giving them everything he bought to eat ,
damn e koh hill park is 3000 ft higher than sea level and 1000 ft higher from capital city. Islamabad as whole though looks like a gorgeous huge park surrounded by foot hills of Himaliyan mountains . I wish all cities of my country were designed as beautifully.
my younger son is always ahead in helpful chores so he kept giving those monkeys everything he bought to eat there except redbull which he seemed shy to hold while posing for camera . More than a week ago Here in the ground floor under the staircase a dog has give birth to three babies . my younger felt so excited and responsible as it was raining meanwhile. since than he tries to supply the food to mother dog everyday . for this he buys milk and bread even he fries eggs without oil and gives her so she can be able to look after her children .all he learns from google applies to help her out. He keeps asking if he is doing right thing or wrong ,yes he despite being so emotional is a practical kid whom it concerns if his sympathetic behavior can give reason to other mock him .i try to make him understand that we all get signals for "right and wrong"we do so he should follow his instinct and the laws of attraction as well .
it was really beautiful experience we had that day ,when we left rain was starting after little break , i always want to walk down from the park .ride take ten to fifteen minutes hardly though we had to walk down once four years ago . actually our ride driver left for some personal reason suddenly after dropping us there and did not return as promised after few hours . we decided to walk downward which was easy walk but it could have been dangerous as dark falls animals from jungle around can appear when see food {human }walking close by . we reached to the bottom in one and a half hour as due to heavy traffic and twisty road we had to be cautious and slow . if it was evening instead night time it would have best walk of ours i believe as views below are breathtaking .
Faisal Mosque looked serene and magnificent under the thick cover of clouds
we missed our younger son who had left for Karachi few days ago
i tried to take quick shots of place as whole but it was tough task as place is huge and entangled sloppy ways and trees
That is all for now dear friends! we are fully recovered from flu thankfully . I am trying to catching up with your posts and comments as well . See you soon !
Please be kind to yourself and all around you ,kindness is most obvious gesture of the Nature and best gift you can share with all the children of mother Nature ! Blessings to you all!

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place, Baili! What a kindhearted son you have! I shall remember him helping the mother dog and her babies. This world needs so much more kindness. I'm glad that you have recovered from the flu.
ReplyDeleteTerry and I have Covid-19. I started having symptoms several days after returning from Las Vegas, and Terry started having symptoms a couple of days after me. I'm not sure where I caught it. I've been pretty careful, wearing my mask even when others aren't. We've both felt, and still feel, pretty miserable, but at least we're not worried about going to the hospital. Fortunately, I had done a big grocery shop just before I got sick, so I had fresh produce, meat, and fish, and I had some frozen meals in the freezer that I had cooked before we went on our trip to Las Vegas. I like a stocked larder ~ God forbid I run out of food ~ lol! I t's funny ~ Terry has little appetite and I'm hungry.
Take care! Sending you love and hugs.
The park looks lovely, I especially enjoyed the piccies of you and your hubbie together :-)
