Across The Mirror (poem)

Sometimes ,when  i  see in the  mirror

I  find a little  girl  before  me

Having innocence  in her  shinny eyes

Embracing  my  soul

With  her sweetest  smile

Speaking  in her  silence

Words  that  can be felt  only

I  feel  her voice through the shine of her eyes

She says  hi there do you remember me?

You were me once

have you still sight of those fields and hills

Where we used to play

Under shady trees, beside  the lake ,

We used to  swing  joyfully

Playing with dolls  in  the  doll house

Cooking  in  tiny  pots with woody fire

Running  after butterflies and fireflies

Jumping  in the stream ,bathing in flowing silver

Laying  under  glittering  sky and counting  stars

Staring  at the moon   without blinking eye for so long

Being just yourself singing happy song

Did you forget all oh no what's  wrong?

I reply  to her  with  smile  on my wrinkled  face

No darling  it not like that,i am still in the race

I  forgot  all,  how can you say?

I will certainly  die if  i will  stop  the  play
Under  the       shady    tree
                      i  have  still  a house

That shady  tree is  my  dear  spouse

I  this   sweet  house  though i don't have  dolls

My  pieces of  heart ,my  kids  among those  walls

It is true   that  life  is not a piece of cake

But believe me  i am swinging  still beside the lake

When  i  find  something   really hard and high

I feel  that thrill of  chasing  firefly

I don't give up and madly run

Feel  light  in my soul  when i get it done

It would have not be possible without being  with you

You   are  always  my guide  no matter what  i do.

  1. What a precious thought. We all should take time to remember the child within and let it be our guide for at least a day. (If you like it, perhaps that child may visit you more often.)
    Thank you for the remembrance.

  2. A reminder of the inner child is always welcome. Thank you.

  3. Without that inner child we become cold and hard.

  4. This is so beautiful, baili! Clearly you're still in touch with the child that you were, which is wonderful.
