Family posts specially one where whole family is present are very important to me because I write my blog like a diary and when I miss my children living away such posts are great help in healing to a mother’s heart 🥹 Along with this reading your sweet comments creates balming affect 🥹 So thank you very much for your generosity♥️
Today I am going to share some really beautiful photos of our Sindh cultural art . Actually when we visited the Mohatta palace I saw some nice paintings and I wanted to share them with you but taking pictures was not allowed there sadly. But luckily when we visited Sukkur around a month back I was more than happy to see some really cool art on the city wall close to the park . I requested hubby if he can pull the motorcycle over so I can take photos. ( it’s not considered “appropriate “ for a lady to take photos while standing on roadside alone particularly but I have my husband along so wasn’t that big deal) We have come farther from the wall when I said so but hubby turned the bike immediately and parked on the road side close to footpath and art wall.Men passing by were looking but I clicked quickly and left . Finding these dream paintings was another joy but being able to take photos like that was exceptionally exciting feeling 🤗 thanks to my dear hubby who always supported me for my basic right as a woman 🥰 . I feel grateful to have such open minded life partner who has enlightened soul unlike so many of others here . I hope you will enjoy my very first post having art that reflects rural culture here in Sindh province in southern Pakistan.
I heard from elders that pottery was great source of income and important way for creative people to express their delicate feelings and ideas, but with time and modern techniques and new methods expression pottery has been restricted by professional artists only. I personally haven’t seen any extraordinary pottery display around here , just simple pottery without colour and more complex designs . I would love to see how this beautiful job of creating stunning pottery is done. Specially the complicated art rich in hews.
When i visit my sisters in law I have seen women sitting like that and quilting , sometimes alone and sometimes some ladies together. Years of experience brings them confidence enough to keep quilting while chatting or discussing serious family matters. At this part of age it’s nice to realise that no matter how different people are economically ,culturally socially ,life treats everyone equally when it comes to have their share of joys ,sorrows or challenges. Everyone no matter where they live creates living out of whatever available resources are and go through ups and downs. Art is a way to express personal ideas and feelings through delicate ways of creativity, and Creator has been so fair to bless people with this gift regardless of their circumstances. It allows them to “feel” life which is equally important to just live it physically.
I think this is impressive how artist has tried to reflect her sense of accomplishment and serenity on her face 🥰 She seems to achieve what she wanted and looks happy with that 👍 I feel that love for aesthetics in human nature is distributed fairly throughout the world because from rich to poor ,free to imprisoned, gender to gender and young to old it is presented everywhere. Humans are not just inventors but they are creators as well and their longing for aesthetic motivates them to create something special which can please their senses and whenever they feel exhausted with life’s challenges they can look back at them and drive pleasure from them to nurture their souls!
She looks very serious ,determined and focused because her delicacy of her job demands it , sometimes I feel that people who can sit quietly with some project and spend hours in this they are true heroes and one of the types among two who oppose each other in nature.
Summers are perfect for such huge projects because of long days. Even though joint family system no longer exists in villages like before. still there are many families who live combined like two of my sisters in law who are married to two brothers living together. This togetherness is pretty handy when it comes to quilt something for professional reason. One of my sisters in law (hubby’s sister) has seven daughters, not all of them but two or three participate in such activities and make good money for their personal use. It’s common in villages.
This is beautiful map of our country Pakistan , artist has to display different colours of Pakistani culture in this .isn’t it delightful? This map is happy face of my country and it makes me happy to look at it 🥰
If I got it right,in this beautiful painting artist is trying to say that everyone is equal in the eyes of law , after saying that I am wondering if law has eyes ,why justice is blind?
I must confess that my sweet drawing teacher was never happy with the camel I would draw in my primary grades 😭 she was such a devoted teacher that she wouldn’t give up and keep me guiding me encouraging but no matter what i would try it would turn into something else except camel 😂 therefore this camel looks sooo beautiful to me 🥹♥️♥️♥️ I feel fascinated by this majestic creature who has gift for storing water for his lengthy journeys in the desert 🥹 God is so kind and breathtakingly thoughtful for making him for people who live in the desert 🙏♥️
This is shrine of local saint of old Sukkur in 16th century originally was from Baghdad Iraq,he settled in Sindh province to spread Islam. Despite this painting was old rusted I loved how beautifully it was made ♥️ I believe saints were the quiet and selfless ambassadors of religion. They delivered true message of love and unity to the people and tried to unite unlike religious leaders who divided them always to use for their personal gain like politicians . Do you think so too ?
