We watched in news how many American and Canadian states are facing severe weather conditions of heavy snowfall and various issues like disappearance of power and lack of transportation. I really hope this ends soon and life goes back to normal. Here in our country case is not the different as well.We had three very mild winters in past years.But It’s been quiet tough winter for people living in up north and south eastern parts of the country . Our Sindh province shares border with province of Baluchistan . Quetta is capital of Baluchistan which dwells on Zarghoon mountain range .When these mountains get snow the cooler weather reaches in many surrounding places And our city is one of those,so we are having very cold weather this whole January particularly. Temperature is spinning around 12 Centigrade to 4 Centigrade during twenty four hours. And it’s big deal for people here trust me.To be honest we have been kind of missing such winter since three or four years.we couldn’t use any of the warm clothes in previous two to three winter seasons. So it’s nice to have actual winter this year. Surprisingly for some unknown reasonthis I am genuinely able to enjoy cold weather after my long gone youth days . I don’t know the reason honestly. But this is first winter of my older part of life which i am not spending in double triple sweaters and triple socks along with one extra blanket. I am feeling normal and facing cold weather like a normal person instead of physically miserable and mentally dimmed woman who love cold weather but wasn’t able to enjoy it . So I am thankful for this weird yet very nice surprise this year🤗🙏
I am particularly concerned about minus 49 temperatures in surroundings of NewYork ?? It seems really worrying because it must be really cold and impossible for the survival of area residents. My heartfelt prayers are with them and we hope and pray that it ends soon by the grace of God🙏. I also hope that storm in Britain may pass quickly and harmlessly 🙏
Moving to the lighter side of today’s post dear friends and sharing few moments we truly enjoyed with dear Gabi on Manora Karachi Beach, hope you will like them too because every time I look at them and fun videos I can’t stop smiling and laughing 🤗🥰
Then younger son Asad and I offered some ideas for taking fun images together and I think we succeeded because everyone cooperated well 👍 I can’t remember younger son mentioned a specific name for this kind of photo 🤔
I love how in Korean drama people form different cheery poses instantly for the photo and this one was my idea , not bad for the beginners I guess 😂
Youngest son came up with this idea which had certain name but unfortunately I forgot again,what a shame 😅 I think this one was very smart, we survived from the giant’s attack because he was knocked down by our crazy screams 😭😂
I couldn’t find new idea but suddenly I remembered how we would make line after one another and run while making sounds of train , well almost like train 😊 everyone else followed the instructions eventually after some messy moves but I doubt if hubby got the clue of it 😂 second from left
Like good weather happy time fly out quickly but like a butterfly they leave so many delightful marks on our hearts 🥹🥰♥️

Hi Baili. Yes, the weather across parts of the US are under extreme ice, snow and freezing weather. Power is out for millions of people. I pray that all survive. Since I live on the West Coast of the US we are having our normal cold January weather. As I write this I am very cold. Tonight starts the rain and wind so our winter is pretty normal. Now to the fun part. I have ridden a camel several times and for me it is so much fun! I see that in Gabi's face. These family photos will bring lasting memories of the joy you all shared. I see how weather in coastal areas remains moderate and pleasant throughout the year. Karachi is a coastal city and its weather is like you mentioned in your city. I think it can be good choice for people who don’t like extreme weather.

Yes in up northern areas temperatures fell to minus double digits and same for the south eastern part which makes our weather more cold .
I see lots of disturbance in those areas regarding roads closed with snow ,accidents once in a while and some buildings collapsed.
It doesn’t happen here so often and one can only hope how inhabitants go through it
What fun and creative photos! I'd like to ride a camel some day. Not too many camels in Canada though, except at a few zoos and they usually frown on people trying to ride them, LOL.

DeleteI as middle school student has read a lesson in our Urdu language book about camel . It was story ( sorry can’t remember the details) of the camel who takes the revenge from the man who had hurt him the camel long ago. Moral of the story is that camel never let go who do bad to them.
You made me laugh with your observation in local museum. And believed that camel live only in desert areas like Saudi Arabia and Middle East 😭
Also very complicated in Portugal.

DeleteWhat I think was wrong with me to feel extremely cold and wear extra stuff when everyone was finding one pair sock and one sweater enough to keep warm is being more anemic and my body lacking essential vitamins due to very wrong eating habits for most of my early life till mid forties.
I feel since I have shifted from wrong diet to healthier one and started taking vitamin d supplements since three years almost are the reason behind this change over

It means I can remain hopeful that this might happen to me too because these days I feel the cold so easily. What I feel worked for me is moving to healthier diet like balanced diet rather then what I like only . Next thing I believe is regular exercise which helps me to feel warm. Thirdly i assume is vitamin D which I am taking since three years almost,it has helped my digestion and mental wellbeing I believe.

I doubt if anyone can understand how happy I felt for the first time in my life to have a winter that I could enjoy rather than just survive hardly. I am really grateful for this ! Yes health is most important thing ,greater gift than worldly treasures because if it’s fine one is able to not just live but enjoy life and feel core of its true essence 🥹
I think we in 2020 we experienced low temperatures around 1centigrade or below and I remember that my arms felt like my skin was burning with cold , you are lucky to born in colder part and habitual to such lower temperatures,my Canadian blog friends mention their winter temperatures -20 to 30 or more and this makes me feel shivering 😭
Isn’t it amazing how Nature has given us gift of adoptability which helps us to survive through many odds conditions 🥰

DeleteHearing about minus 49 in NewYork was shocking because this is something we expect from Russia and Alaska mostly. We too are expecting more rain and snow system entering in Southern Pakistan which is close to us relatively. Let’s hope it passes by without causing more chaos.

Dear Baili, your concern for all those affected by snow and ice winter weather including power outages is appreciated by those affected. As you saw from my recent posts, we had a lot of snow in Nashua, NH, last weekend and it has been bitterly cold so it will remain on the ground for a while. Luckily, we did not lose power in the mill apts where we live and stayed safely indoors until mid-week. I enjoy cold weather except my hands and feet can get cold if not wearing wool socks and thermal type gloves.

Loosing power during such intense weather conditions is amore annoying than normal weather honestly because in normal weather people find many things to do outdoors but when weather restrict their activities there are many things that people can enjoy indoors which power outage makes impossible. I know your heating system is also dependent on power probably so it’s very important to have it when you need it for survival situations.
I can relate to when you mention about having cold feet and hands my friend,I suffered this throughout the life . I would keep awake for hours because my feet wouldn’t get warm enough despite having double blanket, except since really few years four to five that I don’t feel urge to cover myself like I live in scendinavian country, this year I hardly wore any warm clothing when everyone else was wearing sweaters and socks in winter I don’t know whether it’s good thing or worrying but this is it.

Hello, dear friend from a distant land, a wonderful trip! You have a wonderful family! I love the water, the seas, the oceans, and the beaches. Unfortunately, I canceled my hotel stay on the Baltic Sea because it froze—it's so cold here, 16°C today. The wind is also gusty, so you have to dress very warmly. I don't like winter and I'm eagerly awaiting spring and warmer temperatures.
