I am sorry if I am falling behind in my posts. As I said the current situation in my homeland had made everyone feel sad ! The videos and photos say that people who lost their homes , animals and belongings will suffer for long to reach the point where they can feel normal or settled again. These days I felt strong urge if there was some NGO in our city who would want to help victims,I would have been very happy to gather some help with others to send to them! But I don’t think if such a thing exists here. If one are two city has they operate school systems for primary classes only.There are other two reasons to delay my guests and a mental trauma I went through because of an email from google. My eldest sister in law (hubby’s sister) came to stay for two days and one night. She comes after some months so we had some nice light chat and I tried to serve her good meals. She was in her teens when she had been married to a village farmer. He was tough man to live with because of his very dominant attitude and quarrelsome nature. She was widowed one year back. But her test stays with her as she has a mentality disabled son. He is in mid twenties but depends on his mother for all physical care. I feel happy when she manages to take break and comes for one or two days. A little time to breathe and relax 🥹 Good thing is that she likes to watch old indian and Pakistani movies. And we have fifty inches tv which becomes a good source for her to enjoy 🤗 This makes me happy when look at her sitting leisurely without worrying about anything 🥰
She left today and I am writing this post after taking a twenty minute nap 😅
Second reason is horrible (for me at least) , I don’t know if I mentioned before that being a housewife I hardly keep check on my email. When I opened it few days back there was an email from google of August saying that “ your google photos and gmail account will be deleted in 11 days , manage your account and delete videos and photos or get more space by paying “ with thought of deleting videos and photos I felt terrible and ran to email box to delete extra unwanted content. But was shocked to see that despite google told me same thing I knew already my inbox page is not showing button of “select all” which made me feel miserable. Anyway I went to manage box shown in the email and deleted the videos 😭😭😭😭😭😢 worst part that today it was written again on my gmail page that 80% storage is full. I opened inbox and started to delete messages one by one 😞😥
Dear friends if you know what to do please share ! I forgot to take picture of the email I received sadly. I am unable to unsubscribe sites I have joined long long ago because they ask sign in and password which is another issue because I don’t remember the password I used long time ago ☹️
At the end of this post I am sharing two disturbing photos of my recent shingles disease. It’s before and after pic .you can avoid if want to. I am sharing only if anyone felt curious how it looked.

I've had a lot of those threatening emails and they're all about buying space. I ignore them and over two years of this nothing has happened. I think it's a scam.

DeleteI surely would have shared before deleting videos at once but as I said when found out that I saw that certain email late and my gmail account can be deleted I ran to quickset solution mindlessly ☹️
It’s my fault indeed. I have asked for help from my younger son and he said he is going to help tomorrow hopefully 🤞

DeleteMy dear baili I am so sorry you have had to endure such physical pain. I agree with Boud. That is probably some sort of scam email. Perhaps one of your sons would know more. I believe you should ask them. Kids know so much more about these things than we do.

Dear Baili, maybe that is a scam. Your shingles looks terribly painful, especially on the bottom of your foot. I saw about the flooding in your area and hope you find a way to help people recover. You are so sweet to care for your sister in law and give her a few days of relaxing.

That is a very bad case of shingles and must be painful. I wonder if you've been hacked and somebody is using your computer for space.
ReplyDeleteDear Red when I had shingles my whole leg felt terrible pain and I felt so scared honestly as scared that I thought maybe I am going to lose my leg 😥 but fortunately things turned positive after one week surprisingly 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
DeleteAs for you mentioned my account is got hacked probably,I don’t know honestly but yes I receive warning messages on my phone once in a while that someone tried to or trying to enter in my account. But I don’t know what to do about it.I think sometimes I will ask google but then I forget ☹️
My Sweet Friend, that is a scam email. I hear stress in your post. I'm sorry you are going through so much. I know your heart is hurting for all of the people in your country. No doubt it hurts so much that so many people ( hundreds and thousands) are homeless and hungry without any help or support from authorities. Politicians are busy in their publicity for providing all and everything by making photos with few workers shown as victims.this is ruthless like we have witnessed since always 😞
Only one or two channels are showing reality,rest are advertising politicians.
In my hand is only praying and hoping that God does some miracle to victims so they can find some relief 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😞🙏🙏🙏
Dear Nichole I love my sister in law for her resilience to harsh circumstances she faced throughout her life. I feel inspired that nothing could snatch away her innocence and she can still find beauty and goodness in things even if she sees them in movies 🤗👍
I too try to join her in watching movies and I do when I get break from chores. Otherwise I don’t watch old movies now specially since we have Netflix
Although your Google messages may be a scam, it is possible to run out of free storage space, particularly if you have a lot of videos.

Yes it’s very time consuming job , saying so as I am deleting trash emails one by one because gmail page isn’t showing select all button. I think more is going to add in to it

DeleteI'm sorry about the Google issues. I take and store too many photos on both my phone and in Google. Maybe some of what I'm doing will help you too. I never thought I could delete from phone because I thought they would be gone from Google. However, the technician at the cell phone store told me that should not happen. Yesterday I 'accidentally' deleted all the gallery photos on my Samsung phone (not from Google photos) and yeah, they didn't disappear from Google. I've now freed up a lot of storage on my phone. The next step will be to eliminate from my Google photos. What I plan to do is get a compatible external hard drive or a compatible flash drive. I will transfer to the flash drive then transfer them to the hard drive but I learned my hard drive won't do the job. Since I have android phone and apple computer, I have to take extra steps and buy new tools. I think for you, don't delete unless you have a back up option for storage of photos and videos. Your son will be able to help you buy the correct flash drive or hard drive or even to transfer directly from phone to computer (by USB) if you have storage room there. All the best!

Your sister in law must enjoy her visits with you, and leaving her worries behind her is a must for her health, it's kind of you to have her stay for a few days.

I've not as yet had google send me an email for the same reason as you, I only have my blog photos stored in google, and if my storage became near full I would have to start another blog.
Back up your photos, Baili on and external hard drive of some kind plus your videos - then you still have them.

I hope your son can help you decide what to do about the photos and videos. External storage might be the answer, as your commenters Joyful and Margaret D have suggested. Or perhaps it is just a scam, but I understand the feeling of not wanting to take a chance and then losing everything. An external drive would put your mind at rest. Another possibility might be to create a second email account with a different name and password. You could forward some of your favourite photos and videos to yourself at the second account, to be sure they were saved.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a kind and good heart, baili. We can only do as much as we are able to do, in our little corners of the world - and you are doing that. You provided a place of rest for your sister-in-law while she took a break from caregiving. That is a very caring thing to do. And you are thinking about how to help the flood victims. There may be nothing you can do, but if an opportunity comes up, you will see it because it is in your mind already.
Those shingles blisters are very painful looking. I'm so glad you came through that illness and are recovering!

I am sorry,I am not sure I could understand what you said hope you will forgive my ignorance friend and if you read my reply hope you will try to explain why your blog photos have to be stored on google ? I mean they are on your blog already and saved right ?
I take photos from my google photos to share on my blog but not all of the photos I publish on blog such as with help of google images or else have to be stored on my google photos. Hope I could put it right 😅

Hi Baili, one more thing...about the password. You can try to sign in and under the space where it asks for password, it will say 'Forgot password?". Click those words and a box will come up for you to send your email that you used to create the account. Once you do that you wait for an email and you will be given instructions to reset the password or to create a new one. I hope that helps. I'm sure your young son can help you with that too. All he best with the technical issues.

Yes I try forgot password option many times,but most of the time they keep denying while demanding for more strong passwords.i don’t know why google doesn’t behave friendly ☹️
On the other hand when i tried this option on my iPad for password it accepted instantly.

Your shingles looks so painful it reminds me of when I had chicken pox. I had those sores in my throat, it was so painful to swallow. I know that because I had chicken pox the virus lies dormant in my system and may emerge as shingles when my bodies immune system is under stress.
