Sunlight ,Holidays And Advice Needed From Blogging Friends

 Hey amazing people!

Hope walking on the bumpy yet lovely path of life beautifully.

Our temperatures increased a little in the first week of December. It's spinning between 9 to 22 now days. That makes short but delightfully sunny days more enjoyable for all. This is gift to have front yard where we can sit under sunlight during daytimes and absorb some free vitamin D thankfully. The soothing sunlight of winters like this reminds me many lines read in novels that resemble sunlight with the touch of  loved one ,for me it is my mom's! and on second thought it is touch of Divine!

My younger son has come home from Karachi to spend two week winter holidays with us. Hubby got ten off days as well so we are having some family time together . My eldest son could not visit this year due to some necessary work .We are missing him badly and hopeful he will be able to visit soon!

Mentioning Vitamin also remind me  my recent increasing interest in different vitamins that i lack since beginning. This is nice how life unfold it's secrets  to us slowly and make us see our goods and bads eventually. Growth specially spiritual growth is one of the most astonishing and beautiful phenomena of life and I am truly thankful for the awareness we gradually gain through our various sources of learning.

Back to vitamin, i want to ask if any of you take certain vitamin and how it helped or not .

Actually in my country vitamin are least thing people think of so mostly vitamin are thought as unimportant or even bad for health .

I know unlike here vitamin are used by many in your part of land whether Europe or America or any other part around the world .So if  you  kindly share your valuable experience here  it will be greatly appreciated by your humble friend !

Thinking of you with heart full of best wishes and prays dear friends!

Wishing you all Happy Christmas full of love and warmth ,peace and joy  💗

  1. I take vitamin D daily. Canada has a high rate of multiple sclerosis which many believe is associated with the low amount of sunlight we get. There is a book by a respected Canadian researcher which recommended at least 2000 mg/day which is what we take.

Enjoy the holidays, Baili! I hope eldest son can visit soon.

    1. i am sure like you all the people living in Canada take vitamin D as well dear Marie .
what concerns me is knowledge that i am getting into slowly. specially being aware of how our physical system can get affected negatively not only because of climate or environment but also how we feel and as you know human emotions are not in control throughout the life mostly and this makes things inside our body worse gradually sadly . among which most striking effect is just because of stress whole inner organs are hit by many kind of diseases and we hardly track this until things get on the edge.

  2. Happy Holidays and all the best to your time with your son and husband! I have an Indigenous friend who has to be on Vitamin D. But he is also an artist and stays in his basement a lot. I just take a regular Women's vitamin I can get at the local store. I do take magnesium as was as L-Lysine too.

and thanks for best wishes my friend :) same here for you !
Vitamin D consumption is little common in our northern areas and i think if we come to say "thank you " to our Creator for his blessings there will be no end till our last breath !sunlight is among such most priceless gifts .
i will have to dig about women vitamin because this is new term for me . can be similar as Debra mentioned in her comment probably .

  3. So wonderful to have winter holiday time to spend with your youngest son -- enjoy his visit! I take a daily multivitamin pill that is specially formulated for the needs of older women. It's called Centrum Women 50+. I'm sure I get all the basic vitamins from my food but I take this pill to ensure I'm getting some of the more obscure "trace element" vitamins that are also important.

    1. thank you dear Debra .we both are grateful that at least our younger son is with us for winter vacations by the grace of God! today three men are gone to attend the wedding ceremony of Nawaz who is my eldest son's close friend so i finished my lunch quickly and got with pc to respond all the precious comments of my blogging friends :)

i used to think that food is enough to provide vitamins but when get into details i find that it is impossible for our inner organs to give their perfect performance specially when body is under stress and this is why many vitamins are wasted away because of deficiency of system or if when insulin is increased due to much carb consumption body is unable to absorb many important vitamins .our inner system is complicated and badly effected with each single mistake we make just like our out world system ,no difference at all nor room for mistakes sadly

    1. i wonder what is the position of sunlight in your area dear Christine ,i assume it poor sunlight is an issue there as well.
in my native town where summers were mild i would love to spend much time in open yard under sun .i would feel so happy to be in sunlight .In upper norther areas people suffer more with arthritis unlike our village or Islamabad. but here in hotter southern Pakistan i hardly saw any woman with such issue

  6. I take no vitamins. I did in the past but found that my body rebelled against most of them even though I did not take more than the recommended dose. I am trying to eat healthier meals. That seems to give me the required nutrients. Merry Christmas and a healthy, happy, and prosperous New Year to you and your family.

    1. thank you dear Emma for sharing this
actually i questioned because i wanted to add some supplements in my diet ,my eldest son asked to not rush and investigate more about it .
i have no one around who can answer my such question so i asked blogger friends .thank you all for kindness you guys show always!
Emma can it be that your body's intolerance for vitamin is related to your epilepsy issue ?
may be or may be not but i will be careful to start because of the possibility of negative reaction you mentioned here .
heartfelt thanks for kind good wishes dear Emma ,same here for you and loved ones!

  8. Hello Baili
I would not recommend anyone taking supplements without consulting their Doctor or medical team. Care has to be taken with any other health issues, dietary needs, contra-indications with any other medications being taken etc.

Here in the UK, as many other countries, there is a wealth of vitamins/minerals on the shelves of many of the stores/shops/chemists.

For guidance this is what our UK NHS site says:-
    https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/vitamins-and-minerals/

I also believe that each country may have different units recommended for each vitamin etc.

    Please take care.

    All the best Jan

PS I wish you and your family Happy Holidays and Happy Christmas.

  9. my kind and sweet friend Jan thank you so much for being honest !
i agree that without doctor's recommendation no medicine must be take but let me share that situation here has got weird and no doctor is will to listen what patient has to say . what they do they have made up their mind already what to prescribe during the day and they write what they have to sell from companies they belong yes they work for to increase their sale and that is it . unlike earlier they don't even listen and if one tries they ask to mute and just take what he has written and pay the bill simply .no fear of any highest (God)or higher authority at all .
now when i am getting in to knowledge i see how they could have point out that what deficiencies can have person like me who is extremely anemic and has stomach ulcer too .but they did not ,never .this is sad and heart breaking .
i am trying hard to find out what can go fine for me and i will be careful inshallah to avoid any harm thank you for kind concern that warms my heart always !
big thanks for the link i am sure it will be great guidance for me
merry Christmas to you and family!

    1. what a blessing dear Joe that you have strong immune system by the grace of God! thanks to almighty !
unlike you i was always sick lol but totally unaware of what to do about . thanks to God who made me encounter to doctor who could detect ulcer in stomach and treat it it and the anemia to some extent .
now when eyes are opening i am finding that so much negativity dominate us when we lack essential vitamins and i am sure that as one who hardly took meat in life i am vulnerable to such possibility. thank you for sharing . women are given zinc or iron only when they are pregnant sadly .and doctors don't and never mention this defect probably because they need more patients what a disaster

  14. Hello Baili, I am glad to read your son has visited, you must miss him so much! Ref vitamins: I take a calcium/vitamin D supplement, turmeric and also magnesium all in capsule forms daily for bones/arthritis in my hands and I use comfrey oil to massage into my hands for pain, it works very quickly. I take cod liver oil for muscle/joints. In the UK we have the idea that if we eat five fresh vegetables or fruits a day we will be healthy - I have a smoothie with banana, mango or frozen fruit :) I am going to grow more herbs next year and am interested in their medicinal value. Do you grow any plants for medicinal use yourself? . Betty - wishing you a health 2024.

  15. Thanks for sharing your personal experience dear Betty!
These are quite capsules you take daily and I think you are taking them for many years???
Do you feel any kind of side effects specially soon after taking any of them??
I am sure not , asking just out of curiosity.
I have been vegetable person throughout my life. I started eating little of mutton only few years back but very little due to intolerance of my stomach for any kind of meat except fish. But recently I realised that I should consider vitamins as various articles reveal how our feeling are influenced by the the lack of certain vitamins .
My younger son is home for few days only but we are grateful to have this opportunity and hope his health gets bit better meanwhile by the grace of God!
Hope your sons visited you this Christmas as well my friend ❤

  16. I hope you had a lovely Christmas with your family even though you were missing your eldest son.

I have not felt the need to take any vitamins (yet) but I would if it turns out I need them. A few of my friends have had problems that needed a vitamin suppliment to rectify.

  18. Baili, sorry I am late in reading this post and especially in wishing you and your family a very wonderful holiday together. Thank for for your interesting and informative posts this past year, while I may not comment on every one, they have been read. You have the most inquisitive and curious mind unlike many others who simply accept things as they are, you want to know the "why." DO keep on asking and learning as that is the best "vitamin" for the mind.

As for vitamins, I take a multi-vitamin and calcium and cinnamon when I can remember to do so, that is. I do not necessarily believe that supplements are "necessary" for good health and well being. Instead, I believe that the foods we eat and keeping active in both body and mind are far better deterrents to illness, both physical and mental.

Sending all best wishes for a Happy New Year to you and you family, Baili.
