Happy Woman’s Day, Mohatta Palace And Museum Trip Photos And Food

Help Beautiful Souls!

First of all Happy Woman’s Day to all female friends. And thank you for everything you’ve done for beautifying the world around you and for supporting your loved ones. You know that it would have not been possible without your selfless dedication to your family ,friends and society πŸ₯Ή♥️ So please be proud of yourself πŸ₯°πŸ™

Hope all is well with you and yours and you are able to extract some beauty from the days despite the odds and suffering caused to the world by politics.

Here Ramadan month has entered in last ten days of fasting. I had to skip two days fasting because I got sore throat . I didn’t delay it and visited to the doctor immediately. Two days medicine helped lot thankfully and I am fasting again today. I feel grateful for having strength to fast after many years. This is amazing how skipping rice and pulses ,potatoes and sugar could help me to fast without any severe headaches I used to feel in past whenever I would try to fast. This is true that small adjustments in diet and lifestyle bring revolutionary changes.  I also realised that why fasting is essential in most of the  communities , it’s because like everything else our stomach too needs break to recover trauma of excessive eating and cleanse itself . With little pondering one can understand that there are few rules designed by nature and they apply everywhere equally whether outside world or world within us . I am happy to get chance of this again!

Dear friends sharing some images of our family tour to Mohatta palace and museum in Karachi . Eldest and elder sons selected the site for trip because of its historical significance and architectural elegance. Because of  historical importance and present use as national museum this building is national heritage. I hope you will enjoy the glimpse of this very beautiful building as we loved our time roaming in it’s serene lush gardens and seeing historical a cultural art displayed on the walls of many rooms. Though taking photos was forbidden and a care taker was aligned with visitors to make sure they follow the rules.

Mohatta  palace  was built in 1920  as summer home  for a Hindu  businessman Shrivatan  Mohatta    Though he could live there for two decades only until  partition in 1947 when he left for Rajisthan India  in 1948 this building was acquired by Government Of Pakistan. The  Mohatta palace was  devoted to the younger sister of Quaid-e-Azam the founder of Nation . In 1955 Government of Sindh purchased  Mohatta palace to convert it into a museum   information shared are further available link tInformation here

We arrived at the Mohatta palace around 1pm ,weather was chilly and little airy which cherished our senses . This photo was taken  while after we entered the building. There were few people wandering around and taking pictures. Perfect for having relaxed viewing.

It’s very first shot by me, the majestic building has compelling appearance but these white pretty marigolds consumed my attention instantly and I took few photos of

I wonder if you can see the thin water fall dripping down on the wall behind us , eldest son asked us to stand there and both of sons took our

When we were walking towards entrance Hubby called us from behind and took this picture

When we exited the  building it was 3: 40. Almost, in ascending shadows building looked more  elegant

This was front yard lawn , there was another lawn with few trees in backyard as well

From here we headed to a restaurant Barbecue Tonight recommended by our driver, we  all were super hungry and thankfully food was good though expensive.

                                      Two salad plates as starter

                                     Mutton steak  for sons
Two mutton pieces and some spinach was enough for me

Mutton Karahi  for  sons ,hubby had little from here like me but spinach

Chicken. Biryani  for sons , it’s been four to five years I have quit rice

Thank you dear friends for being with me πŸ™ your love and support is my strength and I am grateful for that from the bottom of my heart πŸ₯Ή♥️

Health , peace and happiness to you and to all you love πŸ™♥️πŸ₯°

    1. Dear Debra thank you for sweet words, but yes we both are very content souls and I believe that really is the blessing in today’s world
How wonderful you have eaten biryani ,here they are very popular acutely and important part of food we serve to our guests specially
I ate lots honestly because rice were cooked daily in my laws house and I stick to the tradition even we moved to separate house . I am grateful that doctors pointed out that rice aren’t healthy in older age specially for joints and proper brain function as they create fog in head which lasts longer and affects our behaviour to quite extent , me and hubby felt better after quitting rice and broiler chicken

  3. Baili, Sorry to read that you were not feeling well for a short time and glad you did get treatment and feeling good once again. My husband fasted for a couple of days last week and said it has helped him to feel better and lessen the desire for food, so I plan to try it this week. Your sons made a good choice in a visit to the Mohatta palace and museum in Karachi as it looks very beautiful even from the exterior. Interior photography is prohibited in many places here as well.

All of the foods your family enjoyed at the recommended restaurant looked delicious.

    1. Dear Dorothy heartfelt thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience specially about fasting.
Thankfully I ran to the doctor on time and throat infection couldn’t spread with delay which resulted I recovered in two days. Our airy season has started and windy season is on the way, living close to desert we get loads of sand and dust everyday which makes us sick with such health issues
This is the reason people prefer completely roofed houses but we both are nature lovers and like to have garden space and open sky to look at at night particularly.

How amazing Patrick fasted for two days πŸ€— is this is first time?
What he felt after fasting is rewarding and only people who fast can experience that πŸ₯Ή
I bet that your fasting experience will go great and you will notice very positive changes in your metabolism and overall health.
Actually as I realise and share often that there are few rules designed by Nature and they apply similarly everywhere. It’s true about how we feed our stomach. If we make our stomach habitual to eat healthy and less ,it will be accustomed to that habit. I used to eat till I was full for most of my life,it kept my health in trouble and affected my mental and physical health in negative ways. But I wasn’t aware of it until I changed my diet and eating habits. Now I understand that balance is something we all need to adapt in all aspects of our lives because whenever we lose the track of balance destruction begins immediately. Nature has no empathy for people who lose balance.
Dear Dorothy if it’s going to be your first fasting day I would recommend you yoghurt before you start fasting,it keeps you full and dehydrated throughout the day.

  4. Happy Women's day. I'm glad you are feeling better. I agree fasting does give your stomach a well needed break. Very interesting about the palace. I was just telling Mr. M. that I love posts like yours because I get to learn about your culture, the area and the food. Wonderful post Baili. Plus I really enjoy seeing your lovely self and your family. Have a very nice day today.

    1. Dear Nichole you are so gorgeous and sweet πŸ™♥️

So true about fasting,it is like a break that we all take once in a while from various routines of life, a good example is weekends when you get back to work you are recharged and energetic to face weekdays, or when you take leave from daily activities and head to some different places so your mind can relax and enjoy the change in scenery. Same is with our stomach habitual,we load it with loads of our favourite foods nonstop. It’s a bio machine that needs break to clean itself and recover from the pressuring process which exhausted it .
I feel honoured with your kind appreciation for my very simple posts . I am happy that they mean something to you my friend πŸ₯°πŸ™♥️

    1. Dear Emma like you I am too are much fascinated by architecture, I am so happy that both eldest and elder sons chose some very beautiful and important places to visit. We enjoyed our experience to exploring their beauty and significance in our country. It’s more nice than visiting to other places like a good restaurant or nature. Despite Natures is our priority we are thankful to know and see these amazing places in Karachi!

Thanks for keeping me in mind dear friend, to be honest I hurried to the doctor this time because I wanted to complete my 25 fasting days on time so I can skip last four or five fasting days and finish yearly cleaning of the kitchen and rest of the house before chand raat (night when people sight moon and announce that tomorrow is Eid )

    1. Dear Red yes our country too have many such places that have historical and cultural values but this is also sad and heartbreaking truth that authorities hardly care about such places. Lahore is most populated city of punjab province and very rich in culture and people are very vibrant and progressive unlike other provinces . It has in abundance many highly valued historical sights date back to eighteen century but none of them is well cared enough but just left to decay.
I feel so sad because I know if any other country have had them they would have played major role in tourism industry. Our northern area are called heaven on earth but no one pays attention to refine and decorate them to attract tourists

    1. Thank you so much for your uplifting comment dear Marilyn πŸ₯°πŸ™

I am happy you enjoyed the palace photos, I wish interior photography was allowed so I could have shared more interesting images with you all.

I believe that fasting is part of your belief system as well. Yes no doubt that fasting helps in not just cleansing our bodies but purifying our souls as well. This fact points out that how important is food that we fuel our energy with and its amount. Science says we are what we eat and now we can understand it completely. Eating less amount of food or quit eating for 12 to 15 hours revolutionise our digestion process, metabolism and energy adjustments within body. Science calls this autophagy see definition below

Autophagy ("self-eating") is a natural, conserved cellular cleanup process that breaks down and recycles damaged proteins, organelles, and pathogens via lysosomes to maintain cellular health and generate energy during stress or starvation. It serves as a vital survival mechanism, often induced by fasting (16+ hours) or nutrient deprivation.

Sending heartfelt prayers and best wishes to you and yours dear friend πŸ™πŸ₯°

You are not the first person who noticed the similarity between our boots lol
We have been informed by salespeople sometimes during shopping with light humour and we all chuckle softly.
Hubby bought them on one day from the same shop so yes it was deliberate action to express his love or affection maybe 😊
Glad to know that you enjoyed the pictures πŸ₯°πŸ™
