Hey Beautiful Souls 🥰
Hope finding peace in days despite the all odds of today’s world. Life isn’t designed to flow smoothly but a zigzag line going through up and down all the time. Our weather has changed completely. February is pretty airy and pleasant with cooler temperatures below 30 centigrade. More rain and snow is expected in high northern parts and south eastern areas close by. We hope it will delay summer for a while.
I have just recovered from typhoid 😏 yes after returning from Karachi I felt heaviness on stomach. No other symptoms were present except this and little lack of energy . We visited doctor after two weeks because self medication didn’t help. I was diagnosed with typhoid after a blood test. Was given medicine for one week and forbidden to eat traditional bread for four days. It’s nice to feel normal again and start to eat bread (chapati) again 😅
Today sharing photos of Ferrer hall Karachi .It’s an iconic and historic building build in 1865 by Sir Henry Bartle Edward Ferrer . This gorgeous building was built as a town hall back then though now it is used as art gallery and library. I am sharing Link which put tiny light on the history of the building.
This first picture I took from google images to show you whole beauty of the Ferrer Hall building. Rest below are captured by me and sons.
The lawn of Ferrer Hall has huge extended area for visitors to wander around and enjoy the serenity of this place,it also includes a small zoo area that has some birds collection.
“It is through art and through art only that we can realise our perfections “ Oscar Wilde I will add “ and our imperfections too”
The nice guide guy took few photos of us ,he tried to capture in way that roof top art can appear in the background and he succeeded too ,he took many, this is one of them
I couldn’t find Sadequain photo which I took from his photo on the wall,so I picked this one from google images and if you want to learn more you can see Here Wikipedia link
Sadequain (1930-1987) is historical and finest painter and calligrapher , when eldest son searched about Sadequain and his greatly appreciated art work,he was curious to see it . He found about this site online and called on the number given. The guy picked up was very friendly,he told that building was closed due to Sunday but he will attend us if we still wanted to come. We were more than happy. When we arrived the guy told that he is responsible for the building and he takes care of things here mostly. He said they receive funds from wealthy community who loves art as government is mere spectator with least interest in whole matter. He opened the main hall and we felt we entered in some other world of beauty and serenity! He showed us around, took our photos with roof art and shared history. When I checked online I saw many English people and couples pictures front of this beautiful building. We spent one and a half hours there and lost track of time as beautiful art displayed in gallery consumed us completely! Eldest son gifted the guy some money when we were leaving. Our last thought was we have to come here again ☺️

According to the guide guy at Ferrer hall this wonderful roof mural was created by Sadequain though artist died before completing his master project. He said few other well known artists offered to complete this including son of Sadequain but authorities denied. They didn’t want to loose the touch of the original artist. So this incomplete project of sublime art was left in the honour of the artist! This art project depicts immortality of the life’s journey. According to the details Sadequain worked tirelessly for more than six months to create this roof mural,he slept very less and continues hard work made him sick. To give you better look into this awesome art sharing image from online below,
Source for this is internet
In the The art behind you can see Arabic calligraphy, the highlight words mean. “ universe , planet earth and sky”
This one is captured in the beautiful balcony of this captivating building,we never felt such calm and special vibe at any other place honestly, absence of people can be a thing but I give more credit to the richness and depth that it’s interior holds👍
Sadequain was a saint and believed in man’s inner power and his ability to tame down everything according to his will. But in his saints point of view he uses his power in creating strong and deep harmony with the flow of Nature instead spoiling it . In this art in my opinion he is trying to say that man is created by Divine who has given him His own special gift His spirit and free will so everything comes under and after him. But power comes with responsibility and man’s duty is to take great care of his belongings instead destroying them by lowering himself for trivial things.
Couldn’t get this one whether it’s displayed some punishment or justice
In my simple words here artist has taken off the mask he wears for the world mostly and feels exhausted
Guide told as government has no interest in preserving this treasure, they allow shooting of important events and figures who want this glorious appearance of the building in their work, this way they get some money this way which helps them to maintain the place, we spotted this pretty lady in bridal dress standing while camera crew was filming her ,for the magazine probably, there was another lady I have seen in English bridal dress and I had taken her photo but couldn’t find today 🙁
Can’t comprehend the human poses but according to poetic phrase it’s an invitation to the man to o open eyes and look up ,down and around, look everything and look at the sunrise from east and find his suited place among this all ,the poetic phrase is written by our most popular and mystical poet Allama Iqbal who has been called poet of the east !
Henry Moore says “ to be in artist to believe in life “ I fully agree that
Everyday life present in art reminds me of quote of Pablo Picasso “ art is a lie that helps us to realise the truth “ I really appreciate that thought because I too think that a world without art is like barren desert with no beauty and sense of life , it is completely dark and harsh reality that only burdens our soul, art makes it rich in meaning and realisation of it’s aesthetics. Everything is made in pair and art is soul of the mere matter I believe
Another beautiful quote from unknown source “Art is the Highest Form Of Human Expressionj “♥️
Lucky are people who create such beauty through their art no matter what they create that holds eyes and captivates souls with their charm ♥️
“The. Aim of art is not represent outward appearance of. Things but their inward significance “ Arstotle
Many thanks for being with me till end of the post dear friends 🙏 I am grateful for your love and support always which gives me strength to share my life experiences and thoughts with you all 🥹

ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful building. The art is inspiring. I hope the typhoid is completely gone.
ReplyDeleteDear Emma thanks for nice words!
DeleteO yes typhoid is gone by the grace of God!
The only trouble I am facing with disease these days that my body isn’t showing symptoms on time and properly 😟
It looks like a fascinating place. Lovely family photos!
ReplyDeleteGlad to know dear Kathy you enjoyed virtual tour 🥰

DeleteBaili, I was saddened to hear you had typhoid, but relieved that you had recovered.
ReplyDeleteI love the photos of you and your family! Such a great looking family.
The architecture of the Ferrar Hall is beautiful. The art on ceilings and in frames is amazing and thought provoking. How wonderful you could take it in with your family.
Oh thanks dear Marie 🙏your generous words have healing power believe me 🥹
DeleteI am feeling little puzzled why my diseases whether malaria or typhoid aren’t appearing obviously like before, I remember just few years back when I would get malaria,I would feel severe cold chills and shivers of high fever .but now both came quietly like thief come from back door 🤔🫢
We really enjoyed our visit to each bit thanks to guide man who made it possible 🙏
You had a great private visit. No wonder you stayed there so long and could go back again. Thanks for showing your photos to us.
ReplyDeleteThanks dear Red 🙏
DeleteI believe we will visit it again when we will go to Karachi in future hopefully 🤞
Loved the images not so much the tiphoyd.
ReplyDeleteHope and pray everything will be okay with you and your family
Thanks dear Pedro!
DeleteTyphoid is looking someone to love him which seems impossible, are you thinking of someone who is behaving like typhoid 🤔
Hello, dear Baili, I enjoyed seeing your photos of this beautiful place with your family. The artist is very talented and unique. I see some influences of surrealism and native art like Salvadore Dali' and our American native peoples. It was interesting to read about the artist's influences and that he died before completing the beautiful ceiling mural. It's inspiring that it is all funded by private donations. The architecture of the building is very lovely with the arched doorways and windows, and the high ceilings. A very nice place to spend the day with your dear family. I love your pretty Sari.
ReplyDeleteBlessings x Karen
So pleased you have fully recovered now, keep well.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos and the arches are amazing as is the art there.
Thank you dear Margaret 🥰
DeleteSweet friend Karen 🥰
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely words ♥️
I appreciate how you look at the art and I believe you have great understanding of art unlike me ☺️
Yes I fully agree that art depicts the inward world of the human and how he feels frustrated and entangled by hypocrisy and false narratives of society.
I think we all have life and ways to approach it but an artist has and exceptional ability to walk deep down into human nature and reveal treasures and flaws hidden from others and himself even. Freedom of expression leads towards healthy mindset and self sufficient society !
The building architecture was one of most beautiful we ever visited no doubt 👍
O thank you for liking my simple dress 🥰🙏
Blessings to you and yours my dear friend 🙏
I'm so sorry to hear you had typhoid. That can be very dangerous so I was happy to hear you are now recovered. It looks like you had a very nice time in Karachi. It's so wonderful that there are people who support the arts so that others can enjoy it. It's a beautiful building and some spectacular paintings. Enjoy your cooler weather and I hope the summer will be delayed for you.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much dear Joyful 🥰
DeleteYour generous words have healing energy 🙏
Loosing symptoms of disease is worrying I guess yet I am able to survive and I am learning that I should look my health issues more closely such as heaviness in body and head instead of obvious symptoms like before 🙁
It will surely help as it has been so far thankfully 🙏
We surly have dream trip to Karachi this year so I am really grateful and happy for this 🙏
I too feel respect and gratitude for people who love art and support its preservation ♥️🙏
Our summers are super hot sadly and becoming unbearable with growing age ,I hope summer can wait little more as Ramadan month approaches on 18 or 19 Feb and we are willing to fast throughout the month hopefully 🥹🙏
Blessings to you and yours my friend 🥰
OMGosh typhoid???? I'm so glad you went to the doctor and are now feeling better. That is pretty serious. Ohhhh what a beautiful post with all of the beautiful and unique art. This would be a perfect link up to my Sunday in the Art Room. Sharing different types of art from a part of the world that people don't get to see. Stay well my friend.
ReplyDeleteSweet friend Nichole 🥰
DeleteYes even though after coming home from Karachi where our stay was of twenty days It took me two weeks to notice my sickness due to loads of household pending. But still things didn’t get worse thankfully and I recovered within one or ten days medication course once doctor figured out I had typhoid. God is merciful indeed 🙏
O how kind of you to like this sharing enough to put link on your blog 🤗🙏
You are so amazing and sweet 🥰🙏
Stay blessed my friend 🙏♥️
Oh Dear Baili, I was so sorry to read you have had typhoid but so very pleased you are now recovered.

I have attended the wedding for three days in village away from home after my recovery and I was pleased to go through it successfully 😊
Glad you enjoyed the place photos 🙏
Blessings 🙏♥️
Baili, I am also glad to read that you have recovered now and hope you will be able to enjoy the bread again. This building is beautiful and thank you for all the information. You do have a lovely family and you and your husband look very happy surrounded by your sons.
ReplyDeleteDear friend Dorothy 🥰
ReplyDeleteIt’s lovely to hear from you always, by the grace of God yes I feeling better enough to enjoy delightful spring like days of February 🤗👍
Even though I have reduced the bread greatly from my daily meals I won’t lie I like having its smaller portions in meals of lunch and dinner. We have switched from bread to cereal in breakfast and I can notice it’s better effects on my physical and mental health thankfully 🙏
Having three of our children together with us has become treat for us now naturally, honestly so we feel far more than happy to be with them even for a while 🥹🙏
God bless you two and family 🙏♥️
Hello Baili,
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you are feeling better. The building is beautiful, so many lovely details to see. Beautiful photos. Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.
Thanks dear Eileen for dropping your kind words 🥰
ReplyDeleteThis is such a thoughtful and reflective note 🌿
ReplyDeleteI love how you capture the rhythm of life — the zigzags, the ups and downs — and connect it so beautifully to the weather. It makes your writing feel grounded, relatable, and serene at the same time.
The description of February being airy and pleasant, with cooler temperatures below 30°C, paints such a refreshing picture. And the hope that rain and snow might delay summer adds a charming, almost poetic touch. Your words carry both observation and a gentle wish for balance in life — very calming to read. 🌸
