Stuff Of My Life And Some Photos By My Eldest Son

Our summer is still bearable if one is not under sun .I have started to use exhaust fan in the kitchen since two weeks and no sweat until now thankfully. Though i know extreme season is around the corner we are grateful for these mild ,breezy lush days .

Since i have eliminated rice (few months ago) ,pulses (long ago) potatoes (long ago) chicken and all friend stuff (long gone) from my diet i am feeling quite better and light . I don't know it is for all or for me that rice seems to make me fat and my mind blur so good bye to rice too. It is so nice to feel that constant practice of yoga and meditation has made me more aware what food is not welcomed by my body anymore . Hubby and me are happier to be vegetarian ,loving it actually ,Today i made onion ,tomato and gourd .Usually i fry gourd separate and the add to other cooked ingredients as final addition and cook for few more minutes but to avoid the much oil i tried it differently ,i boiled the gourds (for the first time in my life) and then added and dish was appreciated by hubby so much ,i too find it so tasty as i was worried before that boiled gourd will loose their taste , i decided to keep it this way in future. I realized that since i reduced many things including oil consumption tea tastes better but can't think how and why ?

Clear mind means less chance to make mistakes and always ready to learn more. I wanted to read Philip Goff 's consciousness and Fundamental Reality but could not found it online unfortunately .So meanwhile  i am reading Sharon's Train your Mind Change Your Brain  ,To the Light House by Virginia Wolf and I Used To Be Stupid by Joe haggy needless to say that former is beautiful novel and later is a biographic read with delightful touch of humor.

I  am able to find bit more time for reading and this is because of my eldest son who (by the grace of God) has liberated me  from doing loads of laundry every few days  of the week  that would make me feel feverish for next few days .As mother i owe him this comfort and freedom but i can only repay this with countless prays my heart says for him along for all other children who care for their parents in such way! My Son has also paid remaining half instalments of the plot hubby had bought last year. He too  is so proud and grateful for such kind son ! God is so kind indeed!

In last two weeks we attended two wedding ceremonies ,one in the city and other in another town  far away . Motorcycle ride is pleasant and fun until season is mild so we chose to go there but as we age we find it difficult  to stay on motor bike for longer than one hour so it took two days almost to recover from physical tiredness mostly because of bumpy road .

I want to thank you all for taking your precious time and reading my simple posts  and i want to thank you all for the kind and uplifting comments always ! Your kindness is my strength, i feel lucky to have you all as blogging friends though i feel so close and not separated at all as you all stay in my thoughts and  prayers always!

Sharing some photos that my eldest son shared on request ,hope you will like them .

could not ask the name of the place where my son went to visit with group friends whom he found online through "meet up" i think

i found this structure very interesting ,i wish i can know what is this place ,may be next week when my son will contact on weekend

i like the way such sites help people to find people who share common hobbies or interests ,my son is new in the London city and has only office friends ,i am happy  he can find such active company to spend his week ends ,he likes being outdoor more and that is satisfaction for me as mother .

One of my son's friend is staying in London for a month so they try to spend weekends together by visiting different places such as this ,i think it is park or lawn of some museum (guess only)

This pretty young lady is Sandheya ,She is among those close friends who went to Germany after one another and completed their education and then started job , She is such a sweet and kindred  spirit and cares for all she know which is special gift for sure .Sandheya is fond of traveling and she aims to travel  so many countries ,she lived in America and France previously and now she will be going to spend her next month in Turkey and all by herself which is amazing !
Here they both went to attend some kind of stage show probably in London city.

my son likes sunny days most and this seems a gorgeous day worth outing

whenever i ask my son to send his apartment pics he says okay but let me decorate it little bit ,i think he sent this one by mistake and i am publishing it today  lol .he has nice cozy place by the kindness of God ! he showed he new huge tv last week that he said is necessary for socialization specially if  his all friends will visit him at once from Germany ( which is most probable ) tv will help ,though personally he likes to travel countryside but for this he has to complete his driving classes first which can take few months .

Life is full of surprises and when we have a pleasant one it makes me feel gratefulness seeping into my bones !
May everyone has all the blessings in life and share it further who still in "wait" amen!

Please keep smiling as it is an obvious sign of gratitude !
God Bless You All !

    1. here in Sindh everybody eats rice in dinner particularly dear Christine ,back in my native home mom would cook once or twice in a week but here i had to join them which i became habitual easily as cooking rice is far easier than making traditional bread (tortilla) .

i feel sorry for i did to myself by taking rice before sleeping and for more than thirty years .
i tried to skip but fall back into routine .
but i feel yoga steps and meditation makes one's physique sensitive enough to point out what is not needed anymore and therefore i could stay firm on my decision thankfully .
with age laundry was becoming most difficult task for me specially when it is frequently done as we are four people in the house .

I feel so blessed to have son like mine who thinks about everything so deeply and cares for his parents even he is living away from us since nine years almost which makes people fade for each other mostly as i see in life .i am truly grateful for such gift !

    1. dear Debra despite of being born in village consist thirty houses hardly i had huge fondness for learning ,reading was one of them ,i read whatever was available from digests to magazines ,novels and books from school library but rising house chores had taken this pleasure from me greatly as with tired and fogy mind it was hard to motivate myself to pick up a book and read .
since washing machine bought by my eldest son has freed me from most intense job i feel so nice to have time and energy for reading and reading regularly is pointing me how to look for better mental state so i can speed up my reading and deepen my comprehension .

for parents it is indeed a greatest blessing to see their children growing finely in both ways whether physically or spiritually ,this makes me even serene that my son is doing well on his spiritual side either ,his insightfulness melts my heart that rise as tears of gratitude sometimes, i am truly grateful for this graciousness of my Creator

    1. my eldest son has often advised us to quit oil completely dear Kathy and he says oven is better than stove because we can cook without using oil , we are grown in a area where much oil floating over dish was sign of wealthy and healthy living though my mom was too health conscious and hardly used oil more than essentiality and therefore we never suffered with any serious health problem in past .

i too have same habit and now i am on way to correct my food habits even b a better way ,i will succeed soon hopefully

    1. dear Marie i feel so blessed that my son has such kind soul and he since beginning has been an honest person ,humble and always ready to help others .

believe it or not it is my biggest peace of mind that he is such nice person rather than a successful man in worldly meaning because the former quality is most valued by Creator and i respect him and all alike people from bottom of my heart .
there is hardly a time when he calls and we point out that he should have a wife now but he says he has few little goals in life though thankfully since sometime he is agreed that he would get married if he finds a girl of his likening and if she likes him too for long commitment either .this is a big hope for us as parents and hope it will happen soon .

  6. You've made some major changes in your life as far as food is concerned. A two day ride on a motorcycle would be far too much. You did well to take the trip.

    1. i know i am very late still i am glad that i have found the secret of clear mind , we humans are mostly slave of our taste buds and it is toughest job to change perspective .this is great that i could find insight and than courage to skip all that is harmful for me now . i will keep moving further in this path hopefully .

hubby had motorcycle throughout his life and we enjoyed riding it but with age and in extreme season it does not seem our thing anymore .
we don't want to buy a car here in this small city until we move to Islamabad ,let's see if our dream comes true in future

  8. The best gift we can give to our sons is to allow them to experience the World, baili.
Know and interact with other people, other countries, other forms of life.
    Have a great weekend

    1. how true dear Pedro ,being a daughter i know how hard it is to have space to experience life on your own way specially where i live such luxury is just sprouting slowly .
many and often parents feel insecure when it comes to send their son away as they think they can loose him in the crowd of modern lifestyle ,hubby had such fear too when our son wanted to leave the house and study in Karachi ,it was me who made my husband calm with hope and faith in greater power who decides actually our fate . i truly believe that if your loved one is leaving ,let him leave ,if he is truly yours he ,she will be back to you eventually or he was not for you ,and i am strongly against to force anyone be my side .

living through our kids experience is another one of the greatest pleasure for parents indeed ,when i see him exploring life and enjoying it makes me feel as i am the one who is doing so :)

wow that sounds amazing that you still have privilege to eat potatoes and rice ,after having my medication course for uric acid issue i was advised by doctor to skip all these foods to avoid random gastric aches in different parts of the body ,i tried but i was cheating once in a while though ,now i have decided to follow the instruction strictly and i am feeling quite better by doing so ,sometimes it is good to listen to the doctor :)

  10. I am glad for you that your son is so kind and thoughtful - his accommodation looks modern and full of light. I think the pictures look to me that they are of a part of North London called Camden, the bridge would be CAmden Lock maybe.... this area is a very trendy place near a market which young people enjoy hanging out - hope this helps.

  15. Dear Baili – Your current season sounds like my late May. In my part of the world, winter and spring are racing. Summer is unbearable with high humidity here, but it will be about three month away. Thanks for sharing the lovely photos of your son from Germany. I was happy to see a pot of flower in his room. Have a nice week.

i have heard about the humidity of your country ,our such season begins in July and lasts till the end of September .August is worst month having humid and extremely hot days ,i wish i can disappear from the face of earth when this month of August comes

my son likes to have some plants in his room ,he used to do it when he was in Germany and now he is in London and he is trying to have few plants in every corner of his apartment ,though he needs time to make it happen as he is often so occupied with office work

    1. dear Sandi i approved your comment last day but when came to response on post it was not there ,i thought i made mistake probably and search for it on other recent posts but invain and today your comment is here what is going on can't understand .

yes i too realize it specially after finishing my medication course some years back i skipped all the food doctor mentioned but after course ended i would cheat once in a while and would eat some rice ,or potatoes , chicken gravy ,(don't like chicken but gravy is welcomed ) and most importantly i would take red lentil with rice .that cheating made my uric acid once again and i was bearing it consciously or unconsciously but gradually i realized that my mindset has changed enough to feel agreed to skip all that against which my body started to protest and it feels inexplicable experience now full of peace and sense of achievement :)thanks to creator who keep his promise that he will give what man will ask for with all the responsibility of following consequences

  18. thank you dear Sandy !

there is hardly a moment in my life when i don't pay gratitude for such generous and caring son ,sometimes i feel my whole being has turned into a "prayer" for him and i wish all mothers all parents have son like him amen! the greatest joy my God has given me from my son is not worldly stuff but that peace of mind and happiness that son do care for their parents as in my past i was terribly afraid to have son as what if he is like one my mother has .My kind Creator turned down all my fear and yet he blessed me with astonishingly kind and loving son and i pay thanks for this through each breath i take my lord know all !

so true about images ,i loved the amazing place and architecture is stunning and i too would love to see what it looks like from close .

  19. Your son is paying back the kindness and love that you gave him whilst he was growing up. If you love it will be returned in equal measures.

The place you son visited looked so amazing I researched to find where it was. Here is a link with more information. (ignore the final photograph it has nothing to do with the pathway to the viaduct. The pathway to the viaduct is a public pathway through a private estate).

  20. First, Baili, I want to return the thanks to you for your often thought-provoking posts. Admittedly, I have not read the books you often mention but so appreciate that you share your views. It's nice that the gift your son gave can allow you more free time to relax and read. He is a very caring young man who you and his father have obviously raised very well and surely your other sons as well. Children learn from their parents and it shows because you are also kind.

We too have stopped eating rice, pasta and potatoes, which is not to say that occasionally we do not enjoy any of these, but vegetables like zucchini, peppers, broccoli and cauliflower are more often included in our meals. Roasting them is not only easy but healthful as well. A favorite is steamed broccoli with a bit of olive oil and garlic salt, easy and tasty.

And, I too feel lucky and thankful to have you as a blogging friend, Baili.

    1. dear Dorothy heartfelt thanks for always being so kind in your comments ,your words are my strength and mean so much to me !

i was fortunate to have a mother who had little worldly stuff but a really big heart and when people stood back as they thought it will take loads of money to help someone my mom proved that our care and love and our intention to support others in their most difficult times matters most even with little we have though .

i am grateful that i inherited this quality from her and despite of knowing for many i seem foolish only i know it is not a stupid trade at all specially when i know that to find true peace of mind people spend their whole life and put so much on risk and yet fail .if i get that sense of utter joy and peace with such easy act of kindness why should i hesitate ? i will keep it doing because i know it is divine source of pleasure for me.

i am happy to switch my diet dear Dorothy and it is amazing to learn it was worth it and so easily . wish i could have done it earlier

  23. Argh! I accidentally wiped out my comment to you! So I'll have to write it again.

First, congratulations to you, Baili, on changing your diet and doing yoga and meditation! I'm glad to hear that you are feeling physically better and have a clearer mind. You are a better person than I am. I'm trying to resist the chocolate candy stored downstairs. It's whispering my name and calling out to me ~ LOL!

Second, often it is possible to search for something on Google using a photograph. I don't know what your computer setup is, but try typing this URL in where you search for things: images.google.com

This should bring up a search box that says "Google Images." If you click on the tab that says "upload an image," you can upload a photo from your desktop. I dragged your son's photo from your blog post onto my desktop, and then I could upload it into google search. I immediately found the location of your son's first photo of the bridge-like structure. Here's a link:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ouse_Valley_Viaduct

I am certain he was photographing the Ouse Valley Viaduct. The London and Brighton Railroad line historically crossed over the viaduct. I've been on the train between London and Brighton a number of times and remember the Balcombe and Haywards Heath stations.

I was trying to figure out if I had crossed over this viaduct on today's train, and that's how I lost my comment to you by switching between screens. Surely I would have remembered it, but I don't. I haven't figured out if the modern line crosses over the viaduct, but you can be sure I'll be looking if I'm lucky enough to take the train to Brighton again.

Okay, before I loose this comment again, I'm going to publish it!

  24. i don't have words to praise your smartness dear Louise :)

while reading your detail about how can i search by uploading the image i felt dizzy and laughed at the end helplessly ,it reminded me what i read in other comment while ago ,yes i can be good in comprehending philosophical stuff but whatever it is the technical jobs or mind-bending computer related work is not my thing ,mostly because i started to use computer in 2009 when my eldest son made me this blog and it was something so big for me in the beginning which i would have to take help from my eldest son . i could have learn more but again the time and priorities comes along .

thank you so much for sharing the method of searching via uploading photos ,yes i use google images once in awhile .

i really liked the place and the pattern of structure captured so nicely in photos .thanks for telling me you too stepped there :)
