I Want ____ Less And _____ More Fill In The Blanks

Wanting    something    throughout   the  life   is    very   natural   Quest   for   us !

And   starts   right   after   our   arrival    in   this  world !

Yes   we   make   mom   realize   that

"We  Want  Milk " with  our  first   cry  without  any  proper  greeting   or introduction.

And   then     starts   the   journey    of  NONSTOP    WANTING    in   our    life    which    ends   (hopefully )   with   our   last   breath .

There   is   hardly  a   moment   in  everybody's   life   when  he or  she   does  not  want   something .

Worldly   material    or   spiritual   needs   we   run   through   this   tunnel   for   lifetime.

Our   Wanting  list   never  ends   though   it   varies  according    to   our  likes  and   dislikes   such   as

Some   want   money   ,  power  and   physical   beauty

Some   want    mental   peace   ,  spiritual  growth   and  connection   to  Nature  Or  Creator

Few  wants  both   which  is  obviously  toughest  .

Life  ,experience    and   time  makes  some   appropriate   changes   in   our  WANTING   LIST!

These   changes   are   followed   by   our  inner   demands   which   often   take   ages   to   find   their  "reality   of  worth" and   sometimes   dramatic  twists   and   turns   appear   them   abruptly .

We   run  madly   on  the  road   of   WANTING   and   try   hard   to   fulfill   them  desperately

We   Don't  stop   ,continue   running   with   shivering   body   and   heavy   breathing .

Many   of   us   get    what   they   wanted   and  ventured  for   but   how   Sad   that

After   having  all   that  they   quested  for    and   lost   more   of  their  life   and   strength   they   find

IT  Was   NOT   WORTH  IT!

They   could  have  live   without  it  even   Better  Life  With  More  Peace  and   Happiness!

Wanting    is   not  bad .

Wanting   without   being   clear  about   our  Needs   is  not  just  bad   but   dangerous   either .

I     wanted   just   One  thing   from  my     Creator   since   i  came   into   my   senses .

"Guidance"    for   Wanting   Which   is  Right   For  Me!

And   at   this   part  of  age (49 year  old)  i    Realize   that   God  Answered   my  very   first  prayer   so  kindly  !

He   allowed   me   to  ask   for  things  which   were   right   for  me !

And    No   gratitude   is  enough   to  to  be  Grateful  for  his  Kindness!

Today   here    is  a  blank  for  you  all  precious   people  to  share   your    thought    about  your  desire :)

I    want   greed   less    and  contentment   more.

your   turn ?

  1. Dearest Baili, what a fabulous post!
Yes, this is the way we should all live our lives...following the Path our Creator has planned for us.
What I want more than anything else is...
    to LOVE MORE...and WORRY LESS!
I do believe I am in this life to learn from my challenges and then use that experience to help others.
As always, a brilliant and inspiring post, my Friend!😊😊

Lots of love and hugs ❤❤❤

Loving more removes worries automatically because
The more we give away Love the Lighter our soul becomes

Just like a carefree feather floating in the air having no burden or fear

  6. This reminds me of the post that I just did about people wanting so many material possessions. What truly makes one happy is the wanting and desire to have peace and joy and love. I like your last line, dear Baili. I get tired of people boasting about what they have, their homes, their cars, their status in life. Some of the wisest people in the Bible had no possessions at all. Having things is ok, but being humble about it is special, indeed. : )

    1. I agree dear Sheri but how unfortunate that peace and joy come in our wanting list too late when we get completely disappointed by our earlier wishlist

I also agree that most of people always like to talk about their possessions all the time or recent fashion or backbbiting which is annoying and boring for me so this is main reason that I less socialize

Having necessary stuff is okay but drumming it as show off is totally low act to me

  7. What I wanted since I was a child was children of my own. When they were born I was ecstatic. What I didn't know was that I wanted grandchildren even more. I have been so fortunate to have my major wishes fulfilled. Of course I would like to have more money and I really would like to see a world where people want only the best for each other.

  8. Oh dear Emma thank you so much for such beautiful comment

Sounds like straight from your heart :)

I am surprised by resemblance of our wishes

Either I wanted to have lots of children which my poor health did not allow though but I am overwhelmed by the grace of my Creator who blessed me with few at least

In this whole world no one has everything he wants

There is incompleteness exist in each life and it has some meaning for sure

  10. Very insightful and thoughtful post. You are absolutely all filled with wants. One thing that is interesting to me is how sometimes some things that we want at one point in life become not so important later on. The old saying "Be careful what you wish for" can also be true.

    Have a great week Baili!

I always found you a kind and sweet lady !

I think we all want courage at some point of our life .

Which never ends though but often be dim by our understanding and compromises for living
And it certainly leads to but anxiety.

But I am sure there are millions of ways to get rid of this disorder and most appropriate is to stay satisfied which we have chosen for us and let go that we don't have control on

  16. Sometimes "wanting" enables us to move forward and get out of a rut. I think I want to be more contemplative. I seem to be in a hurry so much. Less hurry, more contemplation. That's my wish!

  17. Baili, you have truly shared an incredible truth here, that from birth we are born with wants. It is a God-driven need within our hearts from birth, but I believe our greatest want is for more of Him! In every heart there is a taste of eternity and we try to fill it with many things, but the only way to satisfy that deepest want in our hearts is to seek and fill our hearts with HIM! JESUS is the answer to our hearts cry, need want and longing!! You have shared this truth beautifully!! To answer your question ... I want more of JESUS and less of me! Love and appreciate your desire for Him! Blessings and hugs Baili!

  24. Thank you for this thoughtful post, Baili. Everyone has more or less desire for material things and need for intangible and non-material, which is quite natural. What I detest is “wasteful lives of nonstop consumption” in materialism and “power mongers.” My reply; I want to be worried less and to be thankful more. Wish you a peace of mind.

This is not understandable that even though we all know that life is so short and unpredictable

We still keep wasting our times and energies in consuming stuff of no value

Nothing will go along while leaving this world!

All we leave behind is good or bad memories
