Family Photo ,New Study Table And a Question

Hey   Amazing   artists !

Hope   and  pray   that   you    are    enjoying    your   artwork   of  life   with  gratitude    and   wisdom!

Yes   we   all  know  that   "life  is   work   of  art"   and   to   put   your   Best    to   get   BEST  out   of  it   is   very   important.

We   all    are  blessed     with    various   kinds   of   art   ,art   of   thinking   ,observing   ,accepting   ,experiencing   and   most   specially   the  art   of   LEARNING  FROM  CONSEQUENCES   of   all   former  arts!

The    most    learned    one   gets   on   the   mark  or  close  to   it ,What   mark?

Obviously   we  all   long  for   PEACE  OF  MIND   end  of  the   day !

and  this  is   our   target    which   gives   motivation   to   all  our    struggles !

If   we   are   not  distracted   by  other   false  temptations   we   follow   our  intuitions    and   reach   to   our  mark   EASILY!

But  if  we  put    conditions   to  have   it  ,  there  is  no   limit   of  lust   you  know :(

Because  BIRD  OF  PEACE   SINGS   ONLY   ON   THE  BRANCH   OF  CONTENTMENT  :)

So    wise   artists    be  focused ,  determined   and   loyal   to   their   art   and   come    up   with  better  results!

Today   sharing   with   my   special  friends   our   new  family   photo   that   we   have   hung    in  our  living   room's  front  wall.

When   my   precious  eldest  baby  was    here   we   went  to  the  studio   and   saved  these   moments   of  togetherness!
This   one  is      digitally   processed   and    sharp   in   colors

The  one   we  have  on  wall  is  actual   one  with   normal  and  little  dim  colors     as  we  liked  our   real   image   more.

This    is   2  by  2   feet  and  fill   our   room   with   sense   of  completeness  to  some  extent !

Hubby   ordered    for  new   study   table  for   my   youngest   son  as   he   is  getting  taller   and   earlier   table  is  little   low   for  him now ,we  received  it   2  days  back

Now   one   question   ,hope  you  will  share  your   valuable   thoughts   over   the  topic .

I   have   always   avoided   to  have  dressing  table  or  any  kind  of  big  or  small  mirror   in  my  bedroom  ,  Because   mirror  in  bedroom   makes  me  uncomfortable .

I  don't  know  whether  it  is   phobia   or   any  kind of  disease .

Is   this   okay   for   you   to    have   mirror  in  bedroom ???

Keep   using   your  art  of  living   for   bettering   yourself  and  to  embrace   the   each  moment   with  sense  of  achievement  that   comes   from   making   our

" EXISTENCE  SUCCESSFUL !"

Lots   of  best   wishes  and   love!

God  Bless  you   all!

  2. WOW...your photo is fantastic, dearest Baili...such a beautiful family!!
I can imagine how wonderful it looks on your wall.😊😊
Yes, like you, I do feel a bit uncomfortable around mirrors. It sometimes feels like I'm being watched from the other side of them! Lol
And I totally agree with all you've said today...we do indeed receive exactly what we've given in every way: giving out positivity brings positivity and, unfortunately, the opposite is also true.
It is Universal Law, isn't it!
Such a wonderful and uplifting post, thank you so much!😊😊

All my love and hugs xoxoxo

Yes it is universal law that we have to reap anyway what we have sowed because
By sowing cactus we can't hope to get roses !
Hugs back to you too my friend !

  5. I don't have a mirror in my bedroom, I did not plan it that way as the one in the bathroom is enough for me. When my mom had centennial my sister covered her bedroom mirror as it made my mom see ghosts. Your large family photo is so beautiful.

    1. That is even more awful to ghost in mirrors dear Christine!

I can't say that my perspective is same for mirror or not but it is weird that I feel little bit disturbed around them

  6. Good that you got a family photo done. Some families wait too long and they never get back together again fro a photo.

Your comment reminded me a story that I read years ago in national language Urdu
In story when family decided to reunite for family photo an accident made it impossible as one member was no more there to be in frame

  7. I can have mirror in bedroom if it doesn't face the bed, a window or a door...I know it makes it very hard to find a place for it. I too do not like mirrors in bedrooms. Love your family photo. Your whole family will cherish it for many years!!

    1. Isn't it strange that though we know that our mind play games with us and mirrors has nothing wrong still we follow our instincts and feel helpless to change our perspective towards things

  8. What a nice photograph. You have a wonderful family. I think that you should do what you want with your bedroom. If a mirror makes you uncomfortable you should not have one.

    1. I don't want mirror in my bedroom and I will stick with my decision

I remember when back in my native home we had to place mirror in same room where we used to sleep I would request mom to cover the mirror before going to bed
May be it was affect of grandma's ghost stories or what I felt restlessness until it was covered

  9. First of all you have such an attractive family. As far as a mirror in the bedroom I don't have one. It is not because it makes me uncomfortable in any way. I usually only look in the mirror when I wash my face. I stopped wearing make-up many years ago. I just have no use for a mirror in any room except the bathroom.

    1. Dear Emma will you believe that I am totally not fond of looking in mirror myself

I always used mirror much lesser than any normal girl or woman
Reason for it is that I am not very concerned about my looks (don't know why) but I never was

I hardly look at mirror when I had to get ready for job or any family event other wise no curiosity for how do I look

Now since some years I started to look at the mirror which is part of my efforts for self encouragement
I just look in my eyes
      SMILE and say
      "You are doing fine"
It energies me within moment that's it

  10. Your family photo is beautiful. Such a good idea to do this from time to time. I dearly treasure my own family photos from years ago, especially as some members have died and some of us live thousands of miles apart now. I don't have a mirror in my bedroom as I always see a person who looks more like my father than me looking back at me. Mirrors are nice, though. I will carry your thought, "Bird of peace sings only on branch of contentment" with me and remember to count my many blessings.

    1. Oh this is so disturbing dear friend!

Either I get feeling of having another mysterious world across the mirror
Which starts to connect with mine when darkness fall
I know this is absolutely false still it is influential

  11. That is a lovely family photo--so nice to treasure! I do have a mirror in the bedroom. It doesn't bother me. I don't always like how I look when I see myself in it, but I don't give it a lot of thought.

  12. What a wonderful portrait! I know you will always treasure it. A photograph is truly a moment in time frozen for ALL time, and a good portrait is one of the best examples of that.

I have a mirror in the bedroom because I need to check to make sure I haven't forgotten to put the right clothes on or comb my hair before I go to work! One day it didn't work, though; I ended up at work with my "house trousers" on - thank goodness I don't have much contact with the public :)

You can't beat me in such mistakes dear Jenny

During my school job 3 times I wore different shoes in both feet and when after reaching in school my colleagues brought it into my notice it was so embarrassing

One of my kind colleague who had house near school brought her own shoes and gave to me .
Even I was able to see my feet in mirror it was going to happen because I was always in too much RUSH in morning times as had to do so many things in really short time

  15. What a beautiful family, dear Baili! Such a nice portrait! Your son's new desk is very nice, too, and so important for having a good place to study. I do have a mirror over my vanity table and a full length one on the antique armoire for dressing. I don't mind them there, as they are not near the bed. I don't think I could sleep if I could see myself in a mirror! That would scare me in the morning :) Sending hugs xo Karen

yes it is absolutely right that either i can't sleep front or beside or even near the mirror

  18. Dear Baili, in reading books on Fung Shui (not sure of spelling), I learned that mirrors are fine in the bedroom so long as they are hidden in some way and do not reflect the person sleeping there. With your mirror, you could put it on the inside of a closet door. Then when the door is closed, the mirror is not evident. I hope all is well. I surely like the photograph! Peace.

    1. You mean you don't consider mirror in your bedroom a magical window that invite you to another side of it it stays just a mirror for you anyway

This is very powerful my dear Martha I am really impressed.

It is research that when our brain lacks some certain vitamins it get illusions which
Trick our thoughts on bad manners

I think I have to find out what kind of vitamin my brain lacks to make it hard for me

We have a mirror in the bedroom, but perhaps if you are not too keen on mirrors one could one be fixed to the inside of a wardrobe door, so it's there should you need it.

  22. I like your thoughts on "art" ...of living - etc. Love your family photo. It's been years since we had one taken with all the family. I don't have a mirror in my room and I only have a small bathroom medicine cabinet mirror. I had gotten rid of furniture when we sold years ago and never replaced a dresser with mirror. Instead I use a simple cubed looking thing with squares drawers ..not really cubed it is like 6 feet by 2 or 3 feet wide ..anyway, bought at Ikea and no mirror. I don't have any objection to a mirror but these days I'd rather not see myself first thing in the morning, lol.

    1. That is nice to not have objection on having mirror which sounds normal and likely usually as I know people around who have mirrors or mirrored dressing table in bedroom and they don't give it serious thought

  24. Lovely family photo! Mirrors in bedrooms - goodness me yes! I have a whole wall of mirrored doors (wardrobe of clothes behind) in our bedroom - which the whole family use to pose in front of - you have to check you are looking your best - why not! it also brings light into the room. I guess we all have times we don't like how we look, but take heart - we don't see ourselves as others do - we see the things we don't like but they see all the things they love about us and that's what others focus on! and of course God gave us our bodies in his likeness so personally I think mirrors are ok and admiring our reflection without too much vanity is very acceptable! hope that helps. x

  25. p.s. I just noticed your reply on another comment - a magical window to another world - what a wonderful idea - I used to think this as a child .... I guess there's no reason to think that 'the other side' is harmful, I have always had that feeling of 'being watched' and maybe that's why!

    1. This so right dear Betty

"the feeling of being watched" exactly that is my point
When it gets dark I can't stand mirror around as firstly it turns the appearance of all reflections mysteriously and secondly it bothers me with constant realisation that someone is giving me a very weird look OH this just don't let me sleep

  27. So nice to see your family portrait, Baili. To answer your question about a mirror in the bedroom, we do not have any eithr on a dresser or on the wall in our apt. We do have mirrors in the bathroom and one in another room, and that is enough for us.

  28. Good day dear Baili, your family photo is beautiful. Your sons are getting so big. Mirrors in the bedroom can be tricky as far as I am concerned. I consult with the art of Feng Shui when decorating any room. In the bedroom never place a mirror so you can see yourself in it from in the bed, that is bad Feng Shui. Also do not have two mirrors opposite each other as this stirs up lots of energy and makes sleeping difficult. You can Google use of mirrors in the bedroom Feng Shui and read all about it. In my bedroom there are two built-in closets with large mirrored doors that are almost opposite each other which caused me many bad dreams and sleepless nights over the years, even to the point of hallucinations as I could see the energy being transferred between them. After reading about the use of mirrors in the bedroom I moved my bed to a different solid wall and covered one set of mirrored doors. This made such a big difference. I do sleep so much better, have no bad dreams or hallucinations. Sometimes I can still see the energy in the room but nothing bad anymore.

    1. Thank you dear Carol for sharing your experience of having mirror in bedroom!

I have never had mirror in bedroom though but I slept few times in mirrored bedroom as guest
I still remember I could not sleep even though hubby was laying beside me
Then I got up and covered it
I got but disturbing sleep afterwards.

Since I got Into my senses I can feel the weird energy waving around by the mirror but only in nights

  29. Hi, Baili! I love your family portrait. What handsome men you have! I really like how the photographer captured you, so calm and peaceful! I read your thoughts on mirrors and all the comments they provoked. We don't have a mirror in the bedroom, but only because we have a huge one in the bathroom. Mirrors don't bother me at all, and I was surprised to learn about others' feelings regarding mirrors. When I was a teacher I had lots of small mirrors for kids to explore with, especially symmetry. We had great fun. I do think that some people experience things beyond the range of what is typical for humans, so it doesn't surprise me when people speak about feeling or seeing energy, for example. I absolutely believe that a bedroom should be a place of peace and refuge, and that everyone should choose what makes him or her happy in this personal space. Hugs to you!

My bedrooms have mirrored wardrobes. I like them because they reflect light and nature from outside. The mirrors make the rooms look brighter and also connect me with nature outside my window.
