A Happy Woman's Day Post! (re post from 2011)

hi i am woman

i am grateful to my creator who made me woman because i think i belong to the unique part of the gender .though in today's modern world women have learnt the methods of survival, but it is still long way to go to feel safe existence here.

it is proven that being woman is not easy job, especially when you live in under developing country.some time i think in the picture of the world i find woman incomparable artistic part of it. a part which relates the all other parts together and gives meaning for existence to each thing.

may be ,making woman physically weaker then man was for giving meaning to her presence according to her creative personalty and smooth nature.

but it became a reason for consistently being hurt by opposite gender.it is painful fact of the world and there are so many voices and efforts to make it stop but lets be realistic that its not possible, because in spite of all civilization and world acts according Darwin 's law where each who has power eat or crush the weaker.
even woman release their anger on their children, although we know that no one can love a child then his own mother.

i feel sorry for women in rural areas ,who come in world with the will of god but live here by the rules of men of the house.they dont feel life, they just breath , obey and spend all wonderful seasons of the life in the prison created by men.i just think in their last breath is their any pleasant moment come in their memory when they felt free as individual.

being a woman i also gave up my many dream for going out and having an independent life, yes you can call me coward ,but struggle of out going women puts so many complications in here and i am not enough brave or smart to handle them.but i still have desire that i can go out when ever my mood is ,so i can sit where ever i want and have a look of surroundings or sceneries ,write and paint or chat with friends.i want to do this just like men do it like they own the world so do i ,before leaving this beautiful world i want to have a look of it without having any cover on my eyes.
let me share the secret that in my friends, relatives and ex coworkers i was most bore person in the whole world.from my teens i used to beat boys who seemed bit over to me,so according to my all boy cousins i was not even girl.this attitude of them was pleasure for me.when i grew up i was surprised that girls gave boys so much importance and try to interact.i broke up with my very good friend who was seriously in love with a boy and often went to meet him after school.
latter we became friends when i decided to take it her personal matter.

i am not enemy of men but it is true that i consider man woman equal ,attraction towards each other is a normal thing but when they are front of each other attention should not be for external looks but for nice character or good act by them.

but in-spite of all problems i am proud of my self that i feel the importance of my existence and enjoy it ,try to do all my duties with all my dignity and raising a healthy brains in my home. it is very hard to find time for blogging and some time it fears me that what if i wrote rubbish or much heavy to digest, but thank god that it is going smooth yet.so friend bear me with all my weaknesses and remember me in your prayers.thanks for reading and god bless you all.

  1. Happy International Women’s Day. Your post contains a lot of truth. Throughout time women have been ootessed. The struggle for gender equality has been one of the most important, perhaps the most important struggles in human history. I am sorry to hear about what you have encountered over the years. Good for you for standing up for yourself.

Come into the world by the will of God, but live by the rules of men. I like how you said that, Baili. They are not always the same thing. Maybe they are never the same thing.

And this part below, so true how some live but others only breathe. :(....

"...they dont feel life, they just breath..."

    1. Dear Sandi!

this is worst part of this UGLY fact that so many women in countries like this never realize that they also are human made by God to experience equal way of life with men .
what can be worst than this that they don't know they have rights to live a respectful life

  3. This is a great post, Baili! Woman have always faced struggles and will continue to do so for some time to achieve equality. As long as we are moving forward, even slowly, we are moving. I began to pave this road in my early years and then I put my two daughters on it. They continue to fight the good fight. Hopefully their generation will do even better.

Even In today's so called modern world women are starving ,struggling and fighting for their rights.
the war has begun since long and is getting faster and faster by the time.

I believe that one day women will stand on victory stand and men will acknowledge their rights and clap for their victory inevitably

  7. Dearest Baili... Your post shows your great strength and feminine fortitude. Throughout history women have been suppressed ... I remember my mother as the only working mother in my childhood years and I was constantly defending her at school and in the neighbourhood. Today we, are progressing and moving forward into a brave NEW WORLD... and the Woman’s voice become clearer and sweeter as it soars... You are so right to acknowledge the importance of being a woman ... and expressing your voice as ... "I AM”... This is a wonderful post that gave me the delicate insight into another culture that is striving and being heard....THANK YOU for sharing, my Friend.... Happy International Women’s Day !!!.xoxoxox

in 80s when i was first girl from my village to go to school i was slapped by my uncle(mom's brother) for they thought girl is the honour of family and if she will go out she will ruin the reputation of family honour .

those ten years were of struggle and i still remember i used to write on each notebook of mine that"LIFE IS STRUGGLE" i was tired many times as being surrounded by vultures made me feel tired but i kept my path straight and simple and when i grew up people who were abusing me for going school came to ask for my hand to make their part of families by saying that it will be honour for them .i cried again but this times tears of joy

  8. Dearest Baili...this wonderfully honest post is so appropriate for International Women's Day!
Your words have touched me deeply...there is so much truth here.
Even in this so-called "modern era", when women in many countries truly believe they are equal to men and have total freedom...it is still much of an illusion.
Here, it seems to me that women are protesting, are fighting against man's dominance...but it is still largely an uphill struggle.
I do so feel for you. It must be even harder for you in your part of the world, where your customs are even more male-dominated than ours are here.
Your bravery in standing up for all you believe leaves me in awe. You are truly amazing.
Yes, I guess you probably view we Europeans as having a lot of freedom...but in so many cases, it isn't so. There are controlling men, there are violent men...and many of us are still being controlled...even though we don't like to admit it - even to ourselves.
You have really made my think, my dear Friend...we women are all fighting for our rights as equal citizens...it makes little difference where we were born...we are all one sisterhood...

    Wishing You a Fabulous Weekend!

    Big Hugs xoxoxo

    1. Dear Ygraine your very honest words made my eyes teary !

yes i know little through movies and readings that Even in western and european part of land women is being accused and harrassed

(Jody foster's movie Accused and along with so many others the jennifer lopez movie ENOUGH) show that women suffer with domestic violence and oppression even in most civilized part of earth, and it is SCARY .

i think though there is long uphill way to go still i believe that time will come when situation will turn into the women's favour .Men will be compelled to give them their basic right as equal human being

  11. Great content of the post with deep thoughts. I have never agreed that a woman has fewer rights than a man, that he is better, more important. This is not true. They are countries where women are treated well and have equal rights, but they are also where the woman is almost the property of a man and sometimes treats her cruelly. It must change, women should fight for it, no one will do it for them. Regards.

i think in this whole world women are being treated poorly in different ways though.

i agree that no one can help the women except themselves .
Realization of rights and struggle for them is needed and first of all they should BELIEVE that God made them equal and they are equally important to the family ,society and world .

If we see her role in creating ,making and raising the family she looks standing higher place

  12. Well said, my friend. You have such depth of insight and self-awareness.

It is true that we live in a man's world, under men's rules. Sadly, I believe that if women were more supportive of each other, that we could get out from under the umbrella of testosterone and have a world where we, men and women, treat each other respectfully as equals. Why should men respect us when we are so disrespectful to each other? We need to be nicer to other women and raise them up, not put them down!

    1. Totally agree with point raised by you dear Toni!

i know less about developed countries but in underdeveloped part of land where mostly people live as joint familie WOMAN IS THE BIGGEST ENEMY FOR OTHER WOMAN.

due to their mental complexities and negative attitudes they alway try to pull the leg of each other and try to let down which make men feel more strong and superior and take the liberty of decision making in their own hands

  14. There is no reason women should be treated or viewed to have any less value than a man. Traditions that say otherwise need to change. All men need to remember that women are the givers of life and that without women, men are nothing. Keep being the beautiful person you are and keep all your dreams alive.

  17. Your were ahead of your time with your thoughts. No two people are completely the same whether they are male or female. That means there are different strengths. I dislike seeing any person being subservient to another. That is wrong. You are a strong woman with a will of iron. I have seen that in your writing. I believe your husband and sons know this too. Your husband obviously admires and respects your strength. I know I do.

    1. Dear Emma!

until now i find myself NOTHING but a GOOD SUPPORTER and i am told this by my husband and sons ,the eldest one specially

He says "today whatever he has achieved it is because i was great support to him "

what i am as "me" i don't know yet

      Delete
    2. You cannot support unless you are strong. You have given your husband the gift of your love and stand beside him as a strong woman who helps him fight his fights. You have helped your sons grow to be strong men like their parents. If you are not sure who you are look in a mirror. What do you like about the person you see? What are her wishes and goals of life? If she is not happy with what she is and who she is then you must help her become happy. I think you will be surprised to see the woman many of us see.

    3. Dear Emma!

thank you for encouraging ,kind and sweet words!

I am satisfied with what i have achieved as wife and a mother and i am very sure about it.
but still there is something inside me keep poking my brain that SOMETHING is missing.

Since very beginning of my life i wanted to be a woman of career and few jobs that i did in my life time to time i had to leave and move away for some reasons .
when i pray and when i meditate while reciting i still feel that may be there will be one day i will be doing something to be on my own as independent .i will earn for myself and will feel CONFIDENT and STRONG!

at the age of 48 may this sound little crazy specially living in conservative country STILL I HAVE HOPE THAT GOD WILL LEAD ME TOWARDS MY DESIRED DESTINATION SOMEDAY

  18. I will gladly overlook your weaknesses (although I can't find any) if you will overlook mine. Women statistically live longer than men, which makes me suspect I chose my gender unwisely. Oh well, I began blogging 9 years ago because I wanted to retire in the company of good minds --your good mind certainly qualifies. Happy Women's Day to you! You are remarkable.

Women can be strong yet still be feminine, but personally I don't want to be too strong, I quite like to some extent the protection the men in my family provide but that is because I am respected and never supressed - let's hope all women around the World can feel like that some day!

i agree that beauty of a woman's femininity is in strength she has in her personality and the way she carry herself in society .

I am so happy for you that you have protection from the men of your family ,this is incredibly GREAT my friend .

i wish all men who respect and protect women standing in the circle of their relationship must realize that all women who though are not part of their family deserve same level of honor and respect

Life is short we need to be in control of our own lives, love only means something if freely given it can not be sold or taken by force., well thats how I try to live my life.

  30. My heart feels dark when I think about how women have been treated throughout time and are still being treated. We have a long way to go before we achieve equality around the world. Some of us are lucky and have good lives because we marry loving and caring men. I don't think that you lacked courage, Baili. It is a very difficult thing to go against the culture and customs that you live in.
